Ill give it a two because I dont have a walk in cooler to age my own in the early season. The turn around here no aging was probably done.. understandable. It isnt an additional fee. Aging meats is sort of necessary and not something that should be charged for. The cooler here is about the best part of this place. When you walk in you see the hall of shame on the board. The people were probably as upset as I was when they seen the meat they ended up with and didnt go back for their other deer. Shame on them and the processor too.If you like deer sticks, they were alright. Might would give them a 3/5.Summer sausage was exactly that and nothing more.Ground venison was probably not even mine. The steaks were just bandsaw cut legs. The chops were the same. Bandsaw ripped loins.I get it that there are alot of deer brought in and things have to be done at a quick pace but come on!All the whole muscle meats, no matter what cut they were, had all the bone dust leftover from the bandsaw. The hair is supposed to be on the hide of the deer not on the packaged cuts.Do yourself a favor and shoot deer once the outside is a freezer and learn to do your own or bring them elsewhere.I was ashamed to deliver a bag of meats to a landowner that let me hunt on him once I thawed out my first package. Thought it was a fluke so the second time I cooked up some venison I was hopeful it was. Meats bloodshot where the arrow ripped through. Hair and more bonesdust. You owe it to the animal to do your job as a hunter but it doesnt end there. Process it yourself, when possible, or bring it somewhere other than Johns. Sure he is close by but should you have to spend hours of total time scraping bonedust and trimming the cuts properly after you have already paid for the service? NO

Took my first deer here to be butchered this year. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful in explaining all the options and extras they have (jalapeño cheese salami is amazing) got my meat back about 5 days later with everything wrapped and labeled. Couldnt ask for anything better. Highly recommend!

Went there yesterday to purchase some jerky and see what kind of game meats they had, bought a nice selection of Elk and Venison from the freezer, everyone was nice and friendly! I will return for future game meats! Me and avid hunter was very impressed with how it tasted! Thank you again! Hoping next time I go there is some Venison Sausage!

Drove all the way from Chicago because we have ordered from them in the past. We were 30minutes later and they were closed already however, a friendly lady decided to re-open the place and help us with what we were there to buy. Best alligator jerky, beef jerky and sausages ever.Opening the store for us was a really nice act and we appreciated it (guys on the bike) we will be back again!

I have to say that Im extremely disappointed in them. Ive been using Johns market for years to process my deer and have never had a problem. Ive never been interested in doing a mount, but have always asked for the rack back if it was a buck (who doesnt?). Anyway, This year I shot the biggest buck Ive ever shot and wanted to do a European mount with it. I made sure to make them aware of that when I dropped the deer off and saw that the ticket had head out written on it. When I got the deer back, all I got was the rack, and they had cut off about an inch of the tip of a kicker point coming off the back of it. To say that Im upset is a huge understatement. I was not the one who went to pick up the deer but they acted like they were confused about what I wanted instead of owning up to the mistake and never said anything at all to him about cutting the tip of the antler off. I just got off the phone with them and all they would do is apologize. I guess they dont care if they lose a customer rather than at least offer up a free deer process. Shows how much they appreciate their longtime customers.****UPDATE**** 10/30/16This season, I shot a doe during the early part if October. With the warm temps, I wasnt able to butcher the deer myself so I decided to bring her in to Johns.I was happy to get the call earlier than expected. On top of that, they ended up remembering me from last year when they messed up my order with my buck. I have to admit that I was surprised. They informed me that my doe would be free of charge. Also, last year, the individual employee thatade the mistake gave me a handmade birdbath that she makes on the side for free. They have gone above and beyond to make up for their mistake. At this point, I can say that they definitely take things personal when they make a mistake and will do whatever it takes to make it up to you. Again, Im shocked hey remembers me from last year, and Im glad I decided to give them another chance.

First & last time ill take my deer to be processed. Horrible job!! the summer sausage is dry, i keep coming up with bone fragments, an a second ago a small piece of metal which i almost chipped a tooth on!!! Everything is unbelievably terrible all the cuts have the bone left in them... an anything i had processed is the worst i have ever had done on a deer! I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!!! Thanks for ruining my meat!!!

Dropped a doe off for processing I was treated with much disrespect by the employees. Also after opening my steaks I found a few to be pack bloodshot meat where the round penetrated. One would think to cut that out.... Im Leary to try them one more time this upcoming season.
