Ambulance chasers. Tried to use scare tactics to forces one page contract where they would have a full control of the home fire renovation.It is very traumatic and scary to have a fire and than somebody forcing you to sign away full control. They are not “assigned”, nobody is assigned and they are surely not assigned by the village. That is just a BIG lie and manipulation. Work with insurance adjuster (who wanted to work with DKI as their work would be easier) and work with companies that don’t want to take over full control. You are in control of your property and select good people whose previous work you can check. Took a bit longer but found a good architect and a builder and will get a much better outcome.They took some dishes to “restore” in all the confusion and will get $5000 from insurance company. New dishes could be bought for few hundred dollars.

My Aunts washing machine overflowed into her basement and we thought it ruined everything!! It was horrible especially since I dont live nearby to help:( Big thanks to Matt S for being so professional, answering all our questions and putting us at ease. They pulled up the floor and left drying equipment which got my Aunts house back to normal! I definitely recommend these guys!!

They suck. I have been asking for my balance for months... Yet no one responds. There is so much work to do and Im willing to pay... But nothing.

I had a water damage in my basement from a broken water heater. The woman on the phone Kim Sizemore was very friendly and helpful. She got them out quick and they cleaned it all up . I am so thankful, and will definitely use them again, when someone answers the phone and so knowable and sweet make all the difference in a company. First priority DKI South Elgin

They even came out to work on a Saturday due to the severity of our situation. Patrick worked to gather a crew Friday evening and they worked promptly to mitigate the damage to our home. Thank you!

They responded in a rapid fashion, with a large crew. They were friendly and focused on the task. The crew leader kept me informed of issues as they occurred . They had appropriate equipment to meet the needs of the damage from the flood. They worked hard and completed the job in a timely fashion. However, when I got the invoice for the service they perform. It included several hundred dollars for floor clean up. That was not completed by them. I cleaned the floor. When I requested them to adjust the invoice to reflect what would be more accurately completed they initially did not do so. Upon further discussion they agreed to a small adjustment in the bill. That adjustment did not reflect the cost of cleaning the floor.

Filed an insurance claim and was assigned to First Priority DKI, negotiated and had written agreement that I would do a portion of the work in place of the deductible payment. After a 3 month delay due to poor communication from the vendor with myself and my insurance company, the project manager said if Im going to do a portion of the work they would cash me out on the job and let me do the entire repair myself. I called my insurance company to voice displeasure at the delay along with the vendor not working with the agreed-on terms, and my insurance underwriter informed me hed call First Priority to discuss. The next day I received a call from the disgruntled project manager (Kevin) who confronted me about calling my insurance company, demanding to know why I was upset. He said he never told me he wouldnt do the work, just that if I wanted to work for the deductible he would cash me out (therefore not doing any work). I informed him of written communications I received from his company regarding the details of the deductible and he stated he didnt know about that. At that point I decided to stop working with this company and did not have them perform any repairs.

Highly recommend you stay clear of these guys. They will mislead you, drag their feet on getting the work done, and do subpar work. Very unprofessional and shady when all their smoke and mirrors fade away.

They dont like to the people they subcontract out to they have had several companies that have worked for them and they havent paid and have excuse after excuse I would not work for them or give them your work unless you want a lean on your property and lawyers calling you
