I called the office first and the woman whom I spoke with, I don’t remember her name, but she was so attentive to my needs… That same day I got a call from Scott, who was very professional. He came and inspected what needed to be done and we scheduled an appointment.. He called me on the day of the appointment to inform me he was on his way, arrived ahead of schedule and immediately started working. I called this highly rated company for second opinion on tankless repair vs replacement. For the $69 price of a service call, he looked at the unit and said he didnt want to mess with someone elses work then it turned into a 1 hour sales pitch for replacement of my unit at more than TWICE the price I was quoted elsewhere, AND was encouraged to spend thousands on a home water filtration system. The salesman was very nice, very considerate and professional, but he was a salesman, not a repairman. Hed step outside to call his company, much as a car salesman would, to talk to his manager to see how they could find a solution and how much they could get you to spend.It was a $69 expedition and I was being taken for a $69 ride. I found what I was paying for was a high priced, high pressure sales call, an opportunity to keep them in business without any effort on their part to know their product or repair my existing system. Sales is apparently more profitable than repair, and Im finding that qualified repair is has gone the way of the Dodo. Call me a dinasour, but the landfills dont need more disposable equipment that cant be maintained. This business model is unsustainable, by customers, landfills, and resources limitations.

I had a Master Inspector go through a home we were purchasing. When we purchased the home we had planned to have several contractors out to fix problems that needed immediate attention because we had planned to be off work. The plumber they sent out was rude and not knowledgeable. He kept asking who told us we needed to do the work we were requesting to be done because he was lazy and didnt want to do it. He basically left not doing the work after multiple times of asking him to do it and he kept whining that it didnt need to be done. Well, here we are a week later and my house is flooded. Save your time, energy, and piece of mind and find real plumbers. The office staff have no clue either. I got the Im going to have to hang up on you syndrome when I called to tell them that their worthless service flooded my house and if their plumbers dont want to work they should go home and sit on their couch. These people are a waste of oxygen.

The pipe outside my house going down to an irrigation well sprung a leak on a Saturday. My first thought was I needed a plumber to fix it. After many calls the only company that would come to my aid was Benjamin Franklin. The serviceman Chris looked at the small gusher and told me that I needed a well company for the repair and that I should not touch the pipe or it might break off more, turning the small gusher into a big one.. Even though it was a Saturday he did not charge me for the service call. I appreciated that as well as their promptness, courtesy, and advice.

John did great work. The guy that works with John (Dave (helper) - handles paperwork) and the office have a huge communication problem. The office is terrible about getting the inspections done. I had the same person ask me FOUR times in one conversation last week for my information and still she neglected to set an appointment for the inspection. Even if the work is great; if it cant get completed or inspected what good is it? It took more conversations today to get an appointment for the inspection. I have more work to have done in our house but I will not be using Benjamin Franklin Brothers.

Scott called ahead of time to let us know when he would arrive. He got right to work and thoroughly explained what we were dealing with and all of our options. We have a tree root growing into the toilet pipe, which isn’t uncommon, but is uncommon with PVC pipes. He will be coming back with a camera to investigate further.Very professional, and reasonable. Scott OKeefe had called to notify me about what time he would be at my house. He was punctual. Scott installed a new water heater, while he did, he noticed that the copper pipe going to my hot water inside the house was green. Which meant it was leaking for quite some time. After the installation was complete, Scott showed me how to shut the water off to the tank if needed. Plus the new copper pipe. He stated also that he would come by to check the copper pipe to make sure it is not leaking. Im extremely happy with my new water heater, the price of the heater and installation was affordable. I would highly recommend using Benjamin Franklin Bros Plumbing for any and all plumbing needs.

Chris Humbert was outstanding. He carefully explained what he was doing to take care of our problem. He also gave us excellent advice on some other plumbing issues I asked about. He presented some options for us to consider without any pressure on his part. I would highly recommend Chris and his associates at Ben Franklin Plumbing.

Simple job that took 30 minutes. Dripping faucet and shut-off valve fitted. Materials worth about $30 (faucet cartridge and plastic valve). My father-in-law let them in to do the job. I was billed an astonishing $344. When I contested the charge I was told that the cartridge cost $195. I replied that the same type used on the cold tap cost me $15 a few years back when I did the same repair to the other faucet. He told me then that I should have done this repair myself instead of calling him. I have made numerous calls to the company, and I hope that they have made a mistake and will adjust down the invoice for 30 minutes work and $20-30 worth of materials.
