I used to go to Paramount Pampering for years before I moved away. The last time I went was around June 2020. Theyre always very professional and the salon was always clean & had fantastic interior decorating. Tatiana would do my eyebrows and she was always super sweet and nice! I would also go to Yahaira for wash & blowouts and she was also always quick & efficient. Even though I cannot go to Paramount anymore because I live far away now, I still recommend any of my friends that live in the central NJ area to go here!

Casey is the best! I have moved away and continue to come to paramount to see Casey! She’s personable and great at what she does. I can come in a months after my last appointment and our conversation picks up right where we left off, it’s the little details that make my appointment feel personal. Will always come back no matter how far away I move!

Had a haircut from Yahaira. I showed her 3 different pics with different length but similar style. She gave me exactly what I was looking for. Even she showed me 5 different option after cut that I can try daily basis based on my mood. :) Another thing that salon follows covid protocol very strictly and made me feel very comfortable. I am so happy that finally I found my hair stylist and my dream salon.

I highly recommend Yary, she gives an AMAZING cut and blowout! She’s beyond professional, constantly educating me on ways to keep my hair healthy, and really takes her time making sure I love whatever look she’s giving me!

Good experience and fair pricing. They have always been super flexible fitting me in which I appreciate. I do wish that you could tip on your card instead of having to get cash out ahead of time.

I have had my nails done at PP for several years now. They have always been kind, professional, clean and friendly. Tatiana has been taking care of me for the last couple of years and she is a skilled manicurist that I look forward to seeing each time I go.

Their stylists have different levels of experience and if you are booking just a first available appointment you will never know how good the stylist is. They all charge the same if its a junior or a more experienced person. I had my hair literally ruined here before going on a vacation. I came to refresh my natural brown hair color and instead I got a very black color which l did not want. Melanie was my stylist. She tried to play it nice by complimenting it. However turning from a medium brown to a brunette was not my goal. She offered to use a color stripper which I had never used before but she promised that it will make it look better. It made it look worse and more than anything ruined the structure of my hair and made it dry and unhealthy on top of lacking any even color. I had patches of light colors on top of a dark color as a result . I had to go on a trip with multiple colors on my head, with my hair turned into an absolute mess. It was a very disappointing experience. I was however offered to come fix it after I was back which I did but they fixed if with a toning shampoo :))))))) which washed away in a week and I had to have my color fixed again at another salon. I was never offered a refund. Be careful going there unless it was a recommendation and its someone who knows what they are doing.

I have been coming here for the past year, and they are always super nice. The place looks very cool inside, very chic, yet calming. I am always happy with my eye brow wax, and now trying threading too! Threading is such a clean look!!! Recently got the gel manicure, and it looks great! The best part of Paramount was they did me a solid, and they fit my boyfriend in on Christmas eve for a hair shaping. He looks great for the holiday! Thank you Paramount Pampering!

This salon is very clean and eco-friendly (even pre covid, but even extra measures have been put in place since and I felt extremely safe). I always feel good about coming here, the staff is very welcoming and inclusive and I know I will always have a good experience. I usually get my hair done by Casey who ALWAYS does a really great job. She pays attention to detail and is very sweet. It is super easy to talk to her and she has such great energy.

I was able to book my appointment for the same day, and the receptionist confirmed it via email. While on was on the phone w/ her, I asked to come in earlier b/c of how long the appt would be. She said yes, confirmed the time, but didnt update it in her system. Wouldnt that be the first thing you ask when booking an appointment, what services are you doing? So when I showed up, I guess there was another girl there to greet me & she was surprised I showed up early. Also, they ask to hold a credit card for the appointment in case of cancellation. Its a hair salon, not a doctors office. Not that serious. Automatically turned me off. Lastly when I checked out, this receptionist had to double check w/ my stylist that I qualified for the rate special that they were advertising. She acted as though I was interrupting her day and I got the side eye b/c now she has to take the few seconds to fix the price on the computer & confirm w/ the stylist. The receptionist is unprofessional and lacks social skills. Besides that, my stylist was great & I thought did a good job. They just need to retrain their reception area on better customer service.

This was my first time doing my nails at Paramount & it was a great experience! Vanessa was amazing! So professional and extremely nice! I will totally be returning back to Paramount and to Vanessa and also recommending her to all my friends and family.

I’ve been getting my manicures and pedicures from Tatiana for over a year now and I can’t go anywhere else because I am spoiled by her wonderful service. Paramount Pampering is immaculate and has a great atmosphere. Their stylists are all so talented and I Love the warmth and energy of all the staff👍

Amazing place - literally PARAMOUNT! When you walk in the atmosphere is inviting, welcoming, and uplifting! The staff is incredible and service is impeccable! Colored and highlighted my shoulder length hair fir 4 hours. Then charged me $200. Other salons they highlight and color at the same time. I wasnt impressed with the color of my hair. Not recommended and not coming back!

Julie is awesome! I have very difficult hair to work with and she always transforms it to make it look great! I highly recommend her services.

When I started going here, it was great. I’m not the best customer: I just get haircuts and sometimes get my nails done. I get that this isn’t profitable work compared to color and treatments. I do always tip 20% or a little more, even though for some reason they don’t allow you to on a card be expect you to either bring cash or venmo (?!?). While everyone who has cut my hair has been pleasant, they seem distracted and like they don’t want to be there. They’ve made me feel gross or unattractive at times, or like they’d rather I’d not be there. One of the stylists, Jeannie, gave me an alright haircut, except that it was uneven and I had to trim one side when I got home. I understand it was a little bit more challenging (angled, while dealing with my wavy hair) and chalked it up to it being a few days before Christmas and that she was stressed. But I still felt like for what they charge, I should feel like I did when I’d go there two years ago- pampered and included. They changed the hours to be more difficult, these women are probably overworked and that’s why they don’t want to be there. I don’t know if I will keep going or not. Maybe for other clients and treatments the quality is a bit better and you’ll leave feeling good, but I don’t.

Came here a few months ago after deciding to try out a new salon to refresh my balayage. I went to Melanie and showed her pics and asked her to refresh my hair with blonde highlights (keep in mind I came here with already bleached blonde highlights so my hair “lifting” wasn’t an issue). After toning my hair, I come out with darker brown/orange looking highlights, THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. She tried to play it off and make it sound better, but I was truly disappointed/angry and on top of that I was charged for a hair treatment that I did not even ask for and wasn’t told about. I don’t understand how one could do the complete opposite and except for a customer to be ok with this?? I was overly charged for a service that did not turn out well, I didn’t ask for this. Not happy at all so beware.

Ahlyza was amazing! She was very sweet and listened to all my concerns (my hair had old color and no style) while also giving her own personal touch- I will definitely be coming back for future services and would recommend her to anyone!

This is by far the best salon I have ever gone to. The salon is exceptionally clean and absolutely beautiful. The staff is extremely professional, friendly and talented. They offer a plethora of services and theyre phenomenal at every single one. I received a phenomenal deep tissue massage and constantly go here to get my hair, nails and eyebrows done. Paramount pampering is a perfect one stop salon, I highly recommend it to everyone!

This salon is just okay. Good for a very simple haircut but Ive noticed lots of staff turnover, and the ones that are there can sometimes be overheard discussing other stylists. Have experienced one stylist botch a haircut and color on a family member, only for the stylist to tell the person well this looked like the picture you showed me when it looked NOTHING like the basic cut and highlight picture shown to the stylist in the consultation.On the bill the salon charges you a fee for them to contribute to some environmental activity or organization. I dont like the idea of a company donating money as if it is on their behalf but it is being drawn from charges to clients.The ambiance is pretty and the location is good (though you must find on street parking and pay the meter and Somerville PD loves to issue summonses so be sure to feed the meter, which only goes up to 1.5 hr increments in one transaction). Definitely room for improvement but has potential.UPDATED REVIEW: Despite the issue in color for a family member, I kept coming back to get my services done, but now have same experience. The front booked me for an appointment saying the stylist had open availability all day, and I go at the time expecting quality, dedicated service. Instead, I had the stylist rush me through and tell me, I cant finish you, so and so is going to blow out your hair. What was supposed to be a timed process was over the expected time, and the application wasnt even thorough from root to end--there are 3 different shades in the hair. I knew something was up when the stylist came in briskly and scrubbed my head 3 times with 2 different shampoos. Its a shame YOU as the client have to be paying attention so you can watch out for mistakes because they overbook the clients and the stylists are not giving attention to detail as they should! The stylist I had did not even say a greeting of goodbye or good to see you. Just scrubbed my head and shuffled off to dye yet another client. How is this paramount or even pampering?I had a few coworkers ask me why on earth I dyed my hair a completely different color and I did not recognize how off the color was until my own spouse asked me why the hell I dyed my whole head dark purple-brown.Im told to come back and make another appointment for what? To do the right job the second time? In my mind, you do it right the first time or you dont know how to do it right at all. Very disappointed and will not be returning nor will I recommend this salon to anyone. Instead of expanding and trying to rush people through a faux luxury experience, fix the problems that are plaguing the salon like the turnover, the open and unabashed conversations about other stylists and short staffing frustrations, and the rushed, inattentive, and dismissive attitudes.

This place lives up to their shining reviews. Staff were all very friendly, the place was spotless, and my corrective color session was completed by a magician. They were very thorough during my consult, making no false promises, and I am thrilled with their results: from the orange of a flopped box lightening to platinum with a slight blush. I wont let anyone else color my hair from here out. Thanks to them, I can finally say, B!#%$, Im fabulous!

Found this salon on Instagram. When I walked in I was greeted warmly. I received a consultation prior to the appointment and the stylist informed me of the process and cost honestly. One of the best salons Ive been to hands down! The stylists are friendly and patient and know the right products to use for your hair type. (I have curly hair).

Never in my life have I dealt with a more unprofessional place of business. If I could give negative stars I would. For the last 3 weeks I have been trying to get hair extensions at this place. A hefty service that was going to cost me just under $1000. I went in initially to have them put in. They ordered the wrong color. Not really sure how that happens but mistakes happen. No big deal. They reordered he hair. I paid for the hair. I waited for a call on them receiving the hair. They said we will call the following Tuesday. They didn’t. I called Wednesday, I get told there is a delay they’ll call Friday. They did not. I call them now the following week. They received the wrong color AGAIN. Now they’re blaming the hair company. They tell me either they are trying another company or they have to refund me even though. Few weeks ago they could definitely do it. They claimed to get the hair overnighted to them. I call them about it. They tell me they’ll call me once they hear back from the company. So they didn’t even overnight the hair. They don’t call back. They text me to cancel my appointment as they are incapable of getting what they told me they could get now three times. I’m no out almost $400 on the hair and will be awaiting my refund for 2-3 business days. Fingers crossed I even receive that. Completely disgusting and disgraceful place to do business with. I still can’t get over the unprofessional and informal text for cancellation. They made me feel like they did not want my business. It’s fine. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I was really looking forward to having my hair done at this salon. I called to schedule an appointment and was able to get one for a month out, but that was fine. I was called twice (on different days) prior to my appointment to confirm along with an auto text msg the day before. The morning of I was called by the receptionist letting me know that my appointment had to be rescheduled because it was too late (@6pm) and that it needed to be earlier because of how long it was expected to be. I asked if i could come earlier, but that wasn’t possible because there was already someone scheduled for 5pm. The only other time that they could fit me in was for a week later. I just want to say how disappointed i am of their unprofessionalism.

Absolutely love Paramount Pampering and their staff! The salon itself is very clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly, extremely talented, and knowledgable. This is the only salon in which I get my hair done, after many unsuccessful experiences at other salons when it came down to balayages. The end result is truly a work of art. I naturally have extremely dark hair, so I am aware that it is a process to get to a lighter ashy kind of color. The hair stylists definitely educate their clients on this matter and always push for patience in order to keep your hair healthy! I also live an hour away from this salon.. I trust them with my hair and enjoy their refreshing friendliness, so the overall experience is definitely worth the drive! Highly recommend their services!

I have been going to Paramount Pampering since it opened back in 2015. I followed my stylist Cielona there. Cielona and the rest of the staff are professional, but fun, I really feel at home there. They are also innovative, they are always trying new techniques to give their clients the best of what is out there!

I used to get my hair cut at Hait tech but they never cut my hair the way I want my hair to be cut. I decided to try this place to find another place to get a cut. This place is truly amazing with amazing staff. Every time I get a hair cut they give out complimentary drinks and they make you feel welcoming. Great place to get a cut.

Great atmosphere and service. Modern, clean, and stylish - the best manicure and pedicure as well. Looking forward to going back.

Paramount Pampering is just that. You walk in the door to smiling faces. The décor reminds me of Tiffanys, though its not at all arrogant. You are offered a drink while you wait - but there usually isnt one - or much of one!The prices are in line with the rest of town, offering you family discounts, with many more services. You can have your nails expertly done by Yahaira. Your hair done by Julie and your make-up, facial or massage done as well as waxing. I am not one of the owners or employees....I am a client - a very happy client. They have parking in the back, you can walk through the back of the building to Maple Street and around to Main. I am so glad that I tried it........I love having a SPA right down town!

As someone with multiethnic, hair to manage hair, its very hard for me to find a hair salon I can trust. I have had my fair share of horror stories. But this place is wonderful. As soon as you come inside you’re offered coffee or tea. Everyone welcomes you with a smile and the atmosphere is really calming and relaxing which is how a salon should be! I always do my hair with Yahaira. She has many years of experience and she has never failed me! Every single time I get my hair done, she leaves me looking like an Instagram model! This salon is the BEST in NJ.

Everyone is very nice, place is very clean, easy to make an appt online or app! Only flaw is Ive had very inconsistent leg waxes. Each person does them differently and no one has done one without missing a major spot.

Had a very nice facial and massage here with a groupon. Customer service was also excellent. Very clean too. Looking forward to trying other services there.

Do NOT come to this place. My first time coming here & I found out my STYLIST wasnt even licensed!!! Majority of the people are working without any licensing & their work isnt that great... They overly hype this place through Instagram. Not worth time OR money. Do not recommend.

Called to make an appointment for the first time and they said they had availablity. Then an hour before my appointment they called to cancel. I was really looking forward to going and eventually getting my prenatal massages and facials there. Guess I will be looking for another, more accommodating and professional spa.

I went there for a cut last week and it was such a wonderful experience the atmosphere was just delightful everyone was very nice and very professional, I love the decoration inside, very classy. The price is very reasonable; def going back to try there facials.

I was in desperate need of a facial and skin treatment and decided to give it a shot. I was warmly welcomed and consulted by Karishma. She listened to all my skin problems patiently and thoroughly. She advised me to get their signature facial first and then skin renewal facial to address my skin problems. She also recommended few products for daily use to get the best results.The actual facial experience was divine. Karishma was so attentive, kind & gentle throughout the facial process, she never left me unattended even for a second. I felt so relaxing, rejuvenating and pampered that I never wanted to leave the place. All the products she recommended are awesome. With each passing day, my skin is getting brighter, shiny, spotless, softer & smoother. I can’t ask for more.She also did my gel mani, pedi last week. My nails never looked so beautiful before. I’m getting so many compliments for my skin and nails every day, it continues to boost my confidence, lift my mood. All thanks to Karishma!! Now I look forward to visit the place every weekend to get pampered.I would certainly recommend this place for their wonderful & exceptional service. My daughter did a great deed, had 12 inches cut off to donate to wigs for kids, normally kids cut is $20, charged me $30 because of the donation cut, stating its a more difficult haircut!!!! Seriously!!!! Its for charity!!!!
