This was my first experience at Juanitas and I loved it. I walked in without an appointment, I was immediately acknowledged, and was being worked on within 15 min of my arrival. The place was clean and the staff was extremely warm and friendly.I had the privilege of having Juanita work on my hair. She went out of her way to make sure she provided exactly what I was looking for. She did not take liberties with my hair. She made sure to ask how I felt and what I wanted as we progressed through the styling process so that I was comfortable and satisfied with the outcome.I had my hair colored, cut and styled to my liking. Wash and blow go without saying. The price was a HUGE value considering I have natural hair. I recommend her, or any of the women there as they all did fabulous work.

This place was great. It was my first time there and every one was polite professional and funny. They really make you feel comfortable. I got box braids done and they look amazing. I walked out feeling and looking brand new.

Never going back, pulled a lot of my hair out and my hair was extremely greasy. Don’t have the daughter do your hair. The mom is extremely amazing but the daughter doesn’t know how to do hair.

This past Friday I had my dredd locks done in bundles to maintain for locks longer. Loved it.

Nice place, nice people. Wouldn’t recommend for type 4 hair if seeking a silk press. Used a bunch of heat on my hair for it to look like I only blow dried it. They said I should have deep conditioned.. although I did so myself a few days prior. I ended up fixing it myself at home after paying $70 for a wash and blowout and haircut.

Juanita is the best. She always does a great job.

I called and scheduled a makeup appointment and they put me down. It was only later when my friend called to schedule an appointment on the same day did they tell her that there was no makeup artist that day. The salon made no effort to contact me over this and if it were not for my friend, it would have left me in a terrible situation. I find this very unprofessional and would not recommend people scheduling here.

Juana’s been cutting my hair for years! I followed her as soon as she opened up her salon. My hair is always cut perfectly! She is an artist!!Highly recommended!!

Always accommodating with appointment times that fit your schedule. Have had my hair dyed, highlighted, lowlights, straighten, curled, & updos and makeup done for a wedding. Had facials, waxing, and threading done. All at reasonable price. The professionalism, cleanliness, and adherence to Covid protocols are above reproach. I feel very safe and highly recommend this salon for any services you may need.

The hairdresser who did my hair was very nice and friendly. The place was clean and the chairs were comfy. Before, my hair was matted and dirty and tangled up, but now it is nice and soft. She even mentioned how she was staying after hours to work on my hair. It was moderate for the price. It was also not very painful, although I got twists. The hairdresser also allowed us to come very close to closing even though it takes around 2 hours to do my hair. I hopefully will be coming here again and highly reccomend this place to get your hair done at.

My mom Goes there all the time and comes out with amazing colors and styles I went there to get what was on the picture and walked out with what I wanted and even better thank you so much I love it

I have been coming to Juanita’s for over 7 years. Their service is ALWAYS good. So good, that I have brought 4 of my friends here, and all 4 still to this day choose this salon for all their needs. Super friendly atmosphere. Great great place. I’ll be going here forever. Even if it includes a travel.

I Went To Get Twist And They Came Out Beautiful This Is A Great Way To Start 2021

I have been a regular customer now for almost 3 years and I cannot imagine myself going anywhere where else. Whether it’s Juanita or Marisela, my hair always looks more shiny and healthy after I leave. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a place to get their hair done!

First they took me in at short notice and literally worked with damaged hair, and came out of there unbelievable satisfied and beautiful. Juanita is amazing all around.

This place is not professional at all i called for a price check and the lady was very rude. They literally make up prices they don’t have no base price she said it depends on how much hair i have which means they can make it up for whatever. i took myself down the street to geetaz beauty salon where they have set prices and don’t charge extra if your hairy or not

I have been going to this salon since it opened almost 4 years ago. I have natural African American type hair, and Juanita has always listened to what I wanted and kept my hair looking beautiful and healthy. Granted, its important I take care of my hair outside the salon; but what I truly appreciate from her, she educates me on the status of my hair, and gives me tips on how I can keep it looking healthy and strong. Beyond disappointed!! I have a party to go to this evening and I thought I’d try to get my dreads done by this salon for the first time. Prior to going I called and asked if they did dreads, and styles, the owner said yes and immediately booked an appointment for 2 today. Not only did they make me wait while they helped NEW walkins and did their own hair, but they didn’t even know how to barrel my hair into a style and had excuses on why they couldn’t do anything I asked for!! Moral of the story I paid $65 for greasy, less than half done hair!! Proceed with caution!!

There was a bit of a wait, as I was a walk in on the Saturday of a holiday weekend, but once the woman who runs the business saw what I wanted done with my hair, she was done cutting within 5 minutes. Despite her packed schedule, she took the extra minute or two to answer my hair questions and treat me with respect rather than rush me. This woman knows her craft inside out, and I know I can always trust her with my hair. Im highly satisfied with Juanitas and my beautiful new hair cut/style. Im not usually a spender on hair/nails/salons, but its worth the $20 every time I go to Juanitas for a haircut/new style.

Friendly service. Unfortunately, their pricing is faulty. Ive had the same service done for both myself and my daughter and the price changes and the sad part is the less you fet done the more it cost. At least that is until the next next visit, as the cost for service increases in $15 increments with each visit.

Similar to Tillys review, they ruin natural hair ( African American hair). They also charged me 55 dollars for a blowout and as soon as I walked out the door my hair puffed up. R and J glamour in new Brunswick straightens natural hair pin straight and silky. Never going back here.

They dont know how do blow outs on natural hair. My sisters hair wasnt even straight and they had the nerve to charge me 55 dollars. Because it took a long time to do. They have inexperienced stylist in their salon. If you want to get a blow out I would advise you to go to declase in New Brunswick I took my sister after they messed her hair up. And her hair was absolutely amazing with a healthy shine

Terrible! I went to Juanitas and showed her a picture of what kind of hair cut I wanted. I guess she is not a good listener as she took a small shaver and thinned my hair in the front and framed my face. She gave me the haircut my sister had. The picture was nothing like my sisters. The picture was for a bob cut. Then she told me if you dont like it let me know I will fix it. NO THANKS. Had to let my hair grow out for a long time before I could get another cut. Would I go there again? NO. Is she a good listener? NO. I would not recommend her.

I come here every two weeks for a blow dry and every 3 months trim my hair . I love coming here it’s close by and I know that I can always count on them .

My first and LAST time being there was 9/30/2018. I came for a Doobie/Blow out & This was the worst experience getting my hair done.Not because Im black and I have natural hair or anything because any other dominican place i go has LAID my hair.. The first lady doing my hair left in the middle of it & my hair was still wet.. then the owner took over and she rushed through it the WHOLE time.. & in the end, instead of flat ironing my hair piece by piece, she just bumped the ends & wrapped it... My hair was stiff, greasy and just terrible. Never again. Milagros or Jasmines in new brunswick..

I came into juantas salon hesitant because the person who did my ombré before completely ruined my hair. I came in hoping that she would be able to fix the damage and ended up getting a new hair cut as well. She was able to fix my hair how I originally wanted and I can honestly say Juanita knows what shes doing!! I will be returning and Id definitely recommend her.

Mia was my hair dresser today and she was amazing! I needed a wash on my tight 4c afro afro hair that I had let shrink to tight curls over a few weeks and was worried about the pain I might experience during detangling. However!! Mia wash my hair and detangled it while wet effortlessly and then did a deep condition! I felt no pain at all and it was actually very relaxing and refreshing! I will be sure to ALWAYS come back and request Mia to wash my black afro hair in the future. This was the easiest and best hair wash Ive experienced on my natural hair in a long time. It was such a relaxing treat and I highly recommend MIA!
