Bill has been my hairdresser FOR YEARS. My recent hair cut and style was just what I needed.Danny, the owner is super friendly and will try to accommodate requests made by clients.

0 star place!! I called the place and talked to the owner (Danny). I needed root touching for my hair and asked the price beforehand on the phone. He told me $60! I get to the place, they do everything and when it’s time to pay they make my bill for $110. Such an unprofessional place! Please ask the prices before you sit down with the ladies. They will overcharge for no REASON! I am extremely disappointed!! They should let me know the price before doing the service. I am new to the area and was looking for a new salon. I will not be returning back here!! I don’t mind paying but overcharging and not letting me know beforehand is extremely unprofessional. I have got root touching before and other places do not charge this much. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!

Beyond amazing! I loved my experience and my haircut/style! This was my first time visiting as I have just recently moved to Somerset and they are open 7 days a week. I haven’t had a haircut since the pandemic btw. I called in same day last minute hoping to see if there was availability and they were which was super great! They took my temperature and everything looked very clean. Carmen is amazing. She is incredibly kind and knew exactly what I wanted for my cut and style. She is a pro. She exceeded my expectations. My hair feels so full, clean and healthy. I love it! I will definitely be coming back again to my new spot 😊

The hair solution they put in my hair was not completely washed out. I left all sticky and it also smelled bad. When I had my hair dried, it hurt so bad I almost passed out. I started to black out from the pain! I also left with a ridiculously dry and burned scalp. Absolutely horrible!

I love this salon. My daughter and I always go to Carmen and she gives us the best blow-outs ever! Last week I sent my granddaughter to Carmen with her other Grandmother and they said it was the best blow-out she ever had! The salon is always clean and everyone is always so nice. Oh and did I mention we all have natural hair and three different textures? Carmen hooked us all up and our hair was truly on point!

I am very displeased with the service I received at this salon. I wanted a hair cut, the woman who cut my hair chopped it like a 5th grader. My hair is uneven and is not the style I asked for (that she agreed to do). Also, she flat ironed my hair which I didn’t ask for I just asked for a wash she insisted she could not cut my hair if it was not blown out (this isn’t true) however she proceeded to blow it and flat iron it and charge me $75. I had to pay for the flat ironing! As I stated prior the cut is choppy and not layered as I desired. I would not recommend this salon for a haircut!!! At all!!!I was there three weeks ago on a Sunday 9/6

AMAZING! I absolutely loved my massage, They always take good care of me when i go. This is one of my favorite place. All the ladies there are friendly and they take time to make sure you are happy when you leave!! :)

If youre a natural hair girl....PLEASE dont bother coming to this place. They overcharge and lie about their prices. Its one of the worst feelings. I used to recommend family and friends to this place but now I will tell them to go someplace else. They even destroyed my little cousins hair when she got a doobie. They do not know anything about black peoples hair and they should stick to their Hispanic clients. I would never step foot in this useless place and Ill make sure to tell everyone that.

Called in around 5pm on MLK day knowing every barbershop n salon was closed or closing early. Woman picked up the phone & was really sincere & said she would take my friend & cut her hair & blow it out. It was easy to find with gps. They have parking with the building or you can parallel park near. When we got inside we were greeted warmly by the receptionist/front desk. The inside (waiting area even where the ladies cut hair is so clean and it’s a very nice vibeful environment. The salon haircut artists are really sweet. My friend got her hair washed, cut, blow out, blow dried & straightened by Carmen. We did ask some questions and for recommendations cause my friend didn’t want to cut her hair too long and stuff. All in all it was a satisfying experience and I definitely recommend this place. My friend loved her haircut! Her artist cut her hair well. From looking at the other ladies waiting in the room across with the curlers in their hair, they looked pretty happy to. I agree with some posts before me, that it is convenient, professional & a very good value. I usually take my friend to Hamilton NJ & this was our first time in New Brunswick & during when I did a google search, this was a top recommended place and I can see why! My friend had natural hair & they did well with it. My friends Indian also like me

Love my hairstylist Bill. Have been going to him forever. It is a bit of a hike and worth it to see him every few months.

I read a review on this place regarding the stylist not knowing how to do natural/corse hair and I regret not listening. I went here a couple of times for a simple blow out and trim, ignoring the fact that she was so careless with my corse hair since the salon is close by and the girl who I loved doing my hair randomly stopped working at the salon I was going to so I was happy to find a salon that looked clean with a friendly staff. They can do simple wash and blow outs but they really do not know how to handle corse/ natural hair. I went in to get a flexi rod set and to get my ends trimmed. The stylist (I cant think of her name but she was Dominican and has a tiny waist and booty for days) ripped my hair/head apart. She also said she couldnt trim my ends AFTER she started doing my hair which was the main reason I wanted to get my hair done. She said she could only trim my ends if it was straighted which was bs bc Ive gotten my hair trimmed before while it was curly and I know she just wanted to hurry up and get my hair done so she could get more clients in her chair or she just really didnt k ow how to cut curly hair. She yanked and pulled at my hair as if it wasnt attached to my head and it took everything in me to not get up and walk out. Once the torture was over she squeezed and shimmied and pushed me inside a dryer that was set to the highest temp, 70 degrees. After sitting under the 70 degree head vice for no more than 5 min, I shimmied my way out, unable to take the discomfort and pain from the heat and asked to be put in a dryer where I could actually move my head. She convinced me that the dryer needed to stay hot like that bc my hair needed to dry extremely well. She moved me to another dryer that had a little more room for me to move but she set the dryer to 70 degrees again. I had to take it upon myself to lower the temp enough to not burn a hole in my head but could let my hair dry fast/well enough to get the hell out of there. I left the salon with 3 blisters, an all around extremely tender scalp and hurts feelings. Ill never go here again!!!
