The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating! I believe Raven or that’s what it sounded like when we called about a reservation, was very helpful and kind & she is family oriented, interacting with my son upon check in. The hotel itself is nice, clean, there’s some type of party going on tonight so we’ll see how that goes. But room is clean & beds are comfy!!

So you could hear through the walls. This was bothersome as we wanted to sleep in one of the nights but heard what sounded like slightly loud conversation. Then my son crying was probably heard by other occupants as well. The bathroom in my room was outdated and the tub actually creaked which is very unnerving. Then, when I went to ask for clean towels, the towels I received were damp from the dryer. The King size bed didnt quite seem to be King either, which was weird. There was a small refrigerator, but no microwave. Lastly, the elevator buttons really had to be pushed to respond. The positives were really nice staff, the size of the TV, comfortable desk chair and good pillows. With that being said, I would not book at this location again.

This hotel was less than good. Their version of continental breakfast is an apple wrapped in plastic. While they did have a Starbucks espresso maker there was nobody available to run it there was no coffee available at all.I will not darken the door of this hotel again.

Clean rooms. Just wish the free coffee was most of day. Wish we were offered more than a packaged muffin at breakfast.

Positive: It was clean and the employees were nice and fast. Negative: We checked out on Saturday,May 15th. we were loading our trunk and we both stepped in a large amount of dog poop. We were traveling back home to NC like that. We realized it after we drove away, because we began to smell it. Clean the exterior too!

Positive: Past experiences were ok, but I dont think Ill be staying here again. Had to move rooms twice last time and the staff had attitude about it, didnt believe me about the noise issues. Negative: Was surprised to be put right next to the elevator, highest traffic area, covid. Asked to change rooms, an hour in an incredibly loud sound from room next door, for hours. Staff refused to check it and gave me attitude for wanting to change rooms again.

Positive: The very comfy bed comes in for the #1 spot and the room was modern and clean. Negative: The fridge was quite small and didnt work up to par.

The room was okay. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The cleanliness department is lacking. The elevators smell musty. Theres a lingering cigarette smell in the lobby and elevators. The water pressure during my visit was a joke.

Room cards did not work for room 408, the first room they tried to put us in. Manager Ramirez made us come down to front desk. He tried reprogram them twice and still did not work. He then advised I move into room 525 after the maintenance person told him that 408 has issues with the key card not working in room.After moving to 525 I encountered hair on towels and in shower. I also encountered multiple stains on the bed sheets. I requested new towels and sheets. Front desk advised I must come down to front desk to get new sheets and that I must put them on ourselves. I did this, even though the hotel has housekeepers for this purpose. I understand Covid conscientious but they didn’t even offer to move me to a different room.After returning at night, I discovered the sink leak on our feet when I tried to wash my hands. I had to resort to washing hands brushing teeth brushing teeth in the bathtub.Unfortunately Employees had attitude and were not apologetic for this or remorseful in any way. Suffice to say I will NEVER stay at another Courtyard or Marriott hotel again. Complete Amateur hour at this hotel.

Not a bad hotel, just managed very badly. No Ammenities available even over a year after the pandemic, come on learn to adapt with the times. No one is going to continue to do business with a poorly ran hotel.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!I had the worst check in process with my son at this place. We are local and decided to check in as a treat since we have been stir crazy. When we arrived the doors were locked, I’m assuming as a precaution, which would be fine if someone was actually there to open the door. We stood in the cold for a few minutes while knocking on the glass doors (it was 3pm which was check in time). We finally saw a small button hiding behind a cart and pressed it...no one came...we almost gave up when someone finally opened the door. Instead of being greeted by a friendly face, or an apology for our wait, we were met by an annoyed looking man named Warren.He was curt and dismissive from the moment I said hello (and he just stared at me without answering). He even seemed to be upset after I had my son sit down while I checked us in. When I handed him my ID to check in(my valid ID that I have used to check into the hotel before) he wouldn’t take it and told me I could leave and get a refund. That was about 30 seconds into out interaction. I had to give him my car registration and insurance to back up my ID...which is crazy. Once we had the ID issue taken care of he continued to be rude and cutting me off. I very nicely told him that he was coming off a bit rude...in case it was a misunderstanding because of the mask....and he told me if I didn’t like it I could leave. I actually wanted to at that point but my son asked me to stay and I didn’t want to disappoint him. I tried to complete the check in process but he just stared at me until I finally asked what else he needed. He then told me he needed $150 for a security deposit...I guess my eyes got big (since the room was only $79)....so without a word he told me I could find somewhere else to stay! I said no that it would be fine but that I was told I paid all the fees online. He again told me I could leave. I again said no. I asked him how long until the deposits returned to me and he said five days..I didn’t respond...and then he says he could send a message to Expedia (which I didn’t book through) and cancel the room.We finally got our keys and the list of things that we could not do (which was not listed on the site) and when I took the room key I made sure to get his name (Warren) and he proceeded to once AGAIN tell me if I wasn’t happy that I could leave!I’m not sure why I was treated like this...we regularly check into local hotels as a treat and have never been encouraged to go somewhere else. It was almost like the staff doesn’t want to rent out the rooms but the company is making them...so they want to make it as unpleasant as they can so you leave. Why else would they be so quick to issue a refund? I was offered one within 30 seconds of interaction. It must be working because there is almost no one there.After all of that we got to our room and were disappointed to find that the beds were hard, there were stains on the wall, the bathroom was dated, and the shower had stains all over it. Thank fully we live nearby so its not as big of a deal for us but I can’t imagine anyone staying there would want to use that shower.

My family drove up from North Carolina and we choose to stay at Marriott properties based on our usually positive experiences. We may need to reevaluate that thought process moving forward. On September 5th, we attempted to check in to this property. We were given a room that was located at the far end of the hall. The entire floor was noisy and wreaked of smoke fumes in whats supposed to be a non smoking hotel. Upon arrival at said tomarr, we were shocked to find that the room was not cleaned. Dirty linen, garbage and unmade beds was the scene that greeted us. This scenario was bad enough on its own. In a COVID environment, it was repulsive and obviously unacceptable. The manager did what she could to address the situation. Needless to say, this has left a permanent blemish on what was otherwise a pleasant relationship that we have had wth the Marriot. Highly dissapointed!

It was a very clean. The employees were very nice. The restaurant was closed because of CoV-ID but they took to go to your room orders. It was delicious. They did forget some things for our order so we had to remind them but, it was only one person. She did great.

Always stayed at Marriott for their standards. But this hotel is definitely outdated. Bathroom looks like it needs a good renovation. Room was dark. The night receptionist was not friendly at all. Gave me an attitude when I ask to change rooms because someone outside my room’s window was on the phone for hours and was extremely loud. And the rooms are not soundproof at all. Can hear next door neighbors blasting music. Won’t recommend.

For a Marriott hotel, it did not reach my expectations. I was very disappointed of the room. I stayed at the end of the hall, the bathroom was not how the pictures was shown. The fridge gave me multiple issues before I get a decent one. The employees were very nice, but the room quality was very low. It is a spacious room. No complimentary breakfast ( I stayed during COVID-19) for 8 days.

Positive: Maid service was polite Negative: the lobby had CNN broadcasting which made me uncomfortable. why not have a neutral news station on or something else. the tub faucet was not secure, causing water to get behind the wall - which leads to mold.

Rates are often the lowest in the area but will try to charge very high deposit. My room was only $71 a night lady at check in tried to charge me $150 deposit for both rooms I booked. It was late at night I had traveled far, had my toddler in the car. Ended up going to the Marriott in New Brunswick with only a $20 deposit and was a much better hotel.

Honestly it’s the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.

Courtyard Marriot at Somerset was very clean and the people were nice. But since they were busy taking care of the food and making sure that Starbucks clients were being served they were neglecting those checking out. They need more staff, they need complementary breakfast buffet for the price we pay per night per room. Ruby Tuesday is nice. But not for breakfast. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The room was comfortable, the towels and sheets were sparkling clean, the a/c was excellent.The cleaning crew in the morning was very quiet and friendly. When they were in the room next to ours, I did not hear her at all.I had a hard time with the card key. The shower wasnt in a working condition.

I expected a better room. It was a corner room and the toilet overflowed. Other than that I would stay again.

Positive: The location. Negative: The staff was rude. They put $150 on hold on my credit card when every other Marriott only holds $20. They charged $5 for a can of soda and they charged us $15 per hour for a late checkout. As Marriott members we are never charged for a late checkout.

Part of our family stayed here last year as part of a large family function. I arranged the bookings and day-to-day scheduling, and must say I was really impressed with the service. Many of my expectations were greatly exceeded. Just a bit pricey, but it was worth it.

Sorta recently renovated, not as updated as other locations. As of October 2020, the courtyard and firepit are closed as well as the pool. The hotel was very clean. The ceiling over the tub area was leaking. The bathroom itself is just very dated. No weird odors. Various types of sanitization being practiced here which is great!

The overall hotel stay was above average. The room was set a a great price and the accommodations were above average as well. The room was clean, neat and fully functional. The only point of criticism would be the length of time required to check in as marriot check-in staff was not present for almost 20 minutes after my 6:35 pm arrival. Otherwise the service was above average. I would definately stay again but hope to be able to check in without undue delay.-PandJ review Stuff

Lisa checked us in and she was so friendly! Your lobby is beautiful! We used the fitness center and while it wasnt huge, it was clean and the machines worked so we didnt have to leave and find a gym nearby. We loved our room, it was clean, updated and loved how the tv was adjustable for viewing. The housekeeping staff was friendly and the shuttle drivers were professional and helpful.

Very convenient location attached to a Ruby Tuesdays which will deliver room service. Spacious, clean room with comfortable bed, sofa, workspace and large TV. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Other amenities include a fitness center, indoor pool and cozy lobby/cafe area with great food and drink options.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The room was stylish with a modern and sleek vibe. It was also very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. We would have loved if the breakfast was included in the price however we still enjoyed our overall experience. We had the breakfast at the Starbucks in the hotel and it was delicious! Try the blueberry pancakes you won’t regret it! The kids enjoyed the pool as well. I loved how comfortable & beautiful the outdoor patio was. We will definitely return!

Am writing this review as an existing Marriott Ambassador Elite member. I have stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Somerset for over 50 nights in the past 15 months and it is my home away from home. Everything here is wonderful starting from an efficient and friendly checkin, well maintained rooms, attentive and kind staff and overall maintenance and amenities at this property. Want to highlight a few of their staff who are exceptional - the general manager Warren, Nestor, Lisa, Juana who make it a point to make my stay comfortable and go above and beyond in their attentiveness and help. I would highly recommend this property for the business traveler and look forward as always to my next stay here.

This is my new favorite motel here on Davidson. We come up for family Xmas every year, been at this motel before, but it seems to be remodeled, clean room, clean air, and the most comfortable bed. Add in a very professional front desk women, sorry I didnt get her name, and you will have an excellent stay!

I checked-in after midnight and was happy to see the Courtyard by Marriott after a long busy day.  The hotel is within a business park and suburban community.  You can find office parks and all the fixings of a suburban community within five minutes of the hotel.  I was lucky to be helped by a kind agent who got me the best available room even when capacity was scarce.  The rooms are nice and modern.  The beds are much more comfortable than some of the other Courtyards I have visited. I absolutely loved the large TV because it is smart and I could watch HULU and Netflix. There are even tubs to soak in after a long day.  My room was spacious and clean. There is ample free parking and a gym on-site.  Overall, I am very pleased with this location and will stay here again when in the area.

Positive: I likes this hotel because it was clean and it was quiet. Negative: What I did not like about the hotel was that the cleaning staff did not come around to clean our room, It could of been because of Covid 19 but they should of had enough staff on hand to clean rooms while staying at there establishment.

When I booked we needed something close to NYC with lots of parking as we were pulling a trailer. We got that and so much more! Frankly I didnt expect it to be so nice as it was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area. The room as beautiful, quiet and comfortable. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The parking was wonderful...plenty of space in a well lit safe area.

I stayed overnight for the convenience of remaining in the area before attending an event. My room was nicely appointed and ready when I arrived. My bed was just right for a good night’s sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

Glad to see new rules in effect to ensure distancing. Barely any patrons at the hotel. Most of the amenities closed. Looking forward to the next phase of normal.

If business brings you to Bridgewater, the Courtyard is a great option. It is meant for business traveler! The quick service breakfast options are just what you need at the beginning of your day. It is connected to a fast casual restaurant, so grabbing a bite after work is convenient. There is a fitness center & a pool. Hi speed internet in the room supports you getting in a few emails while you watch TV on the HUGE flat screen in your room

Room was clean, comfortable, the mattress was a little soft, as well as the pillows. The Bathroom light was a little dull, a larger watt bulb s/b used, it was clean however. We stayed overnight to get to a nearby restaurant for a birthday party. This is our second stay at a Courtyard in 3 months, and both times we were happy w/ the location, cleanliness of the room, the hotels location, etc. for the events we were going to nearby. We think its a good value for the money. Although we didnt use the dining, we plugged in good, as the survey doesnt have an N/A option. We did look at the breakfast menu, seems a bit high priced, so we opted for a nearby diner for breakfast on the day we checked out.

I stayed at the Courtyard during Thanksgiving. The rooms were amazing, service was amazing. The only thing I was concerned that the indoor pool was not heated and there is no FREE Continental Breakfast. But overall it was a great hotel and experience.

I didn’t stay there but I delivered to this hotel and the quest claimed that they didn’t receive their delivery. I tried to get to the bottom of this! One of the managers was very rude and didn’t want anything to do with the situation.Either the staff was lying or the guest.Things don’t just grow legs and walk away!This happened on Saturday June 27, 2020. It was a male member of management. I would never ever stay at a place where people wouldn’t want anything to do with or take any responsibility for any negative experiences at this hotel! Very low class!!!

My stay was very good. I really loved the decor and cleanliness of the common areas (main lobby, out door sitting area, pool, gym, etc.). The convenience of the Starbucks and Applebee’s being on site was awesome. The decor and overall cleanliness of the room. Check-in and customer service was amazing. The only problem we incurred was that the bathtub wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. There was some type of blue foamy residue left behind.

The best sleep ever. Enjoy the night until the next time. I will only be staying at a Marriott. Nothing else compares to a good night sleep. Unless its great sex.

Horrible! After driving from Upstate NY,we arrived at hotel at 1:45PM the clerk asked our name, looked up our reservation, and then stated you cant check in fore three I stated we had never heard that before, and she then said, well you can for a $15.00 fee I said in all of our years with Marriott, I have never heard this. It was not that the room wasnt ready, we just couldnt unless we paid the $15.00 are you kidding me!

We came to town for a family wedding. This hotel (along with a few others) was conveniently located .5 miles from the venue. The room was clean and modern. We were 3 adults in a room with 2 queen sized beds. It was spacious. The only problems were that the bathroom did not have a fan. Although we booked for 3 adults, there were only 2 coffee pods and 1 bottle of water. The staff was very friendly and supplied extra coffee when requested. I do recommend this hotel.

The staff is wonderful. Well groomed and professional. When you walk in the look and feel is courtyard but updated. The only issue is the need to update the showers.

Its okay. I look forward to using the gym when at hotels, but could not use this one. The gym is right next to the pool, which isnt out of the ordinary, but for some reason this gym was filled with strong chlorine gas smell. There needs to be better ventilation for the gym. It was empty, but I would consider it a health hazard to use it. Besides that, the staff was kind and friendly, and check-in was smooth. Was disappointed I could not fit in a workout.

Everything about the hotel is very nice it’s clean the beds are well-kept and comfortable to sleep in but we had come to go swimming for my daughter‘s sixth birthday! The pool was probably as cold is the Atlantic ocean at this time of the year! We live in New Jersey it gets cold in the winter why would you have a pool that is not heated but the room was heated...Needless to say my daughter was very disappointed she said that it ruined her birthday all she wanted to do was go swimming! I probably won’t stay again especially in the winter!

The Courtyard Somerset is convenient to my corporate offices and my most recent stay was one of those unplanned emergency visits. I arrived at the Courtyard with no reservation and a winter storm scheduled for that evening and next day. Though the hotel was virtually full, the manager on duty did everything possible to accommodate me and was able to free up a room at nearly my normal corporate rate. It would have been easier to send me down the road, but she provided great customer service and assured that I would be taken care of with minimal inconvenience. It was a productive two days that would have been much more complicated if I had stayed at a different hotel than my co-workers.

With many other hotel nearby, the Somerset courtyard is always my favorite with a nice restaurant/bar, large comfortable rooms and easy experience (booking, checking in/out, stay). I enjoy the large screen TV with Netflix access - perfect for a week stay!

The friendliness of the staff was accomodating. The cleanliness and space of the room was impressive. They also gave us a room with a balcony, my husband and son loved it. The fact that the Ruby Tuesdays were attached to the hotel, we did not neet to go outside of the hotel to access the restaurant was very convenient, especially with small children was amazing. The hotel was family oriented. We only experienced a minor inconvenience. The tub was not draining well. The tubs stopper cover was not lifting up. It was down and kept accumulating water. I had to put my daughters gerber food top to keep the stopper cover up for the water to drain while we were using the shower. I reported the problem to the front desk employee, she said that she will have someone look at it to fix the issue. I believe her and I know that before the day ended it was resolved. Other than that experience, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Spent my 36th Birthday at this hotel. It was a pleasant stay and Im very happy I chose this location. All went well. Beautiful location. The staff were very helpful and friendly and always wore a smile. I loved my suite it met my expectations and I couldnt ask for more. Ill definitely return!

My husband and I had an excellent stay. The hotel room was modern, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable beds, clean room, treated very well by front desk & staff. They were welcoming and extremely informative about hotel amenities and hours of operation for breakfast and adjoining restaurant. Just one small tip for housekeeping, the silver towel racks were dusty on the ends. It just needed a little wipe down. Everything else was clean and smelled fresh!
