GONE IN 60 SECONDS ! I had an Amazon return to drop off here so I could get a refund. Sure beats hanging out in long lines at department stores. No contact drop off. Love it !
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!Lady calls, tells me she has my package, tells me I MUST come pick it up and PAY HER $5 to pick it up. I try to explain that I live 700 miles north in OREGON and can she tell me the address on the package. She tells me again their address, says I have to come get and pay her $5 - she does not stop talking, so she never listens. AVOID! She lays phone down on counter for 8 minutes I wait, I hear customers complaining about paying for US mail envelops they get for free at post office. I am really reminded why I left California! Horrible service, poor language skills, no idea how to stop talking long enough to listen. I filed complaint with UPS too AND my package is still lost in UPS world wide mess up.
I simply needed to drop off some pre-paid shipments and I was waiting for more than 5 minutes without being acknowledged. When I finally spoke up to ask if I can simply leave these shipments at the store, I was ignored. I walked out and went to the Postal Annex in Cardiff and was acknowledged and helped and was out of there in less than 2 minutes.
Employee became vocally impatient when I was pulling up my Amazon QR return. Mumbled under his breath when I passed him the package and threw the receipt in my direction.
This UPS store is a mess and poorly run. From packages scattered across the floor to horrible customer service, it falls below expectations in every way. There is always someone in there with an issue complaining. I witnessed an employee walk away from a customer trying to return an Amazon item because she didnt tape the box properly. In my case, I was mailing a check for my engagement ring. I sent it certified with signature required and they lost it. I came back to track the item, and the clerk who originally helped me said if it was that important, you should have paid for overnight service. I was appalled. FedEx is down the road and will always get my business now.
Please be aware if you have a barcode for a shipping label, they make you email it to them and charge $2 to print. Never seen this at any other UPS store. Won’t be back.
FAST SERVICE ! I zipped down here around midday today to drop off a package. Parked right out front and walked in....a male worker wearing a surgical mask greeted me immediately and asked if I needed a receipt. I didnt so I left the package on the counter and thanked him. Gee that must have taken 30 seconds !
Terrible service here. I sent a package (a baseball hat) on April 30. It cost me $31.25 to ship! The hat cost me $20! They told me it would take 3 days. As of today, May 18, package is still not there. They are rude and not helpful

Worst shipping service ever. The FRAGILE package that I sent from their store was naked that way with their own stickers. After it circled the USA making 12-15 stops it never was delivered but returned back 11 days later in horrible condition. They had no care whatsoever and said I would not get a refund and that the $500 extra insurance I took out would not cover the damaged china inside ($450 broken items.)Their only task was package delivery but it was not done and then the item was broken. They are happy to take your money but will not follow through on the job or file a claim for you when the task is not competed or your items are damaged.Please take your business anywhere but here. They do not care about wasting your time, money or breakage if things you are shipping.I tried to contact the owner and they have not contacted me back. UPS corporate it so difficult to get though to but several hours of effort revealed that the independent store is responsible.Now left to dispute the transaction with my credit card, Yelp, contact BBB and file a claim against them myself.
This UPS store is awesome! Daniel was an immense amount of help to me and I would recommend anyone and everyone in Solara beach to go here for all of their packing and shipping needs. It seems Daniel is there a lot working his butt off so I recommend If anyone is looking to speak to a trusted, kind and knowledgeable person to help them you look for Daniel! Thank you again Daniel for all that you did for me I look forward to conducting business with you in the future!
Small local business with knowledgable and efficient staff. Having a notary service in Solana Beach west of the 5 freeway is a great help.

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!!I took a chance coming here to buy some bubble wrap today because the service wasnt too good or helpful last time I was here over 12 months ago.Well things have changed...at least for today because I ran into 2 very helpful ladies behind the counter.I got my 2 rolls of bubble wrap and left thinking I will put this UPS location back on my go to list.

They charge $3 to print one piece of paper when UPS in Encinitas, just down the the street, either charges $1 or will give it to you for free if you don’t have the dollar at that time, they just ask to bring it next time you’re in. Ripoff and gouging on Solana Beach UPS’ part.
