Dr. Owens is the best. I thought I needed a crown but it turns out that I only needed a filling which is a BIG difference in price. My insurance covered most of it and I was relieved. I am scheduled back for my teeth cleaning for once, I am not scared of the dentist.

True Review: (Between April - October 2017) I came to Dr. Balkcom and was initial pleased, but soon MAJORLY regretted ever going after they ruined my credit score for a product NEVER RECEIVEDI came to him to have several teeth extracted and to have dentures fitted. The extractions went well so a continued several more visits. I PAID IN FULL around $4000.The first problem is he was CONSTANTLY ON VACATION!!! and he had a lady, who is not even listed as a dentist on their website (Though I do not doubt she was qualified, but I went there because I like him) do most of the extraction. Their equipment was inferior, The Nitrous oxide mask broken apart SEVERAL TIMES, Even the dentist and staff were getting irritated with it, plus the Nitrous oxide was weak.When it came to the dentures it really all went downhill. I mentioned SEVERAL times that I do want dentures and TOLD DR. BALKCOM, THE OTHER DENTIST AND ALL STAFF that I could not afford them until AFTER CHRISTMAS.I TOLD them to wait til AFTER CHRISTMAS SEVERAL TIMES, but they called me almost EVERYDAY, PRESSURING ME to come in to get fitted. I went it so I could, in their terms, Get the process rolling. I soon got a letter in the mail saying $1600 was never collected and was going to COLLECTIONS. I called them right away and they said We will stop it ASAP. THEY DID NOT!!! NOW I OWE $1600 to a collection agency andNO DENTURES. WHY DID THEY CHARGE ME $1600 FOR SOMETHING I NEVER RECEIVED???THEY ARE ALL CROOKS HERE!!!I have reported all this and Filed a Complaint to the ADA.

All the folks are great here and you will receive superior treatment not just from a dental health perspective but also as a person undergoing necessary but unpleasant procedures. They go out of their way to make things as comfortable as possible.I also like that they do not oversell services. They come up with a health plan and tell you what they think you need to have done, but I never feel pressured into buying un-needed procedures.

If you are looking for super friendly, clean, and knowledgeable, this is the office for you! Dr. Balkolm is also the kindest and most thorough teeth doc in Georgia! I love this office and, trust me, Ive experienced many.

I had my first visit to Dr Balkcons office. They staff is a great set of people. I especially adore Pam, she is very sweet. If anyone is looking for a great environment, I encourage you to vist this office, you will be glad you did! Dr Balkcon takes his time and make sure you understand every thing you need to know about your visit, as well as the procedure he have to perform.
