AFS has changed my life. I have been on six incredible life changing trips. I have made life long friendships with incredible travel lovers like myself and look forward to many trips in the future.

Traveling with Adventures for Solo Travelers on their South Africa, Namibia trip was more than I could have ever imagined! The tour was exceptionally organized, the accommodations were outstanding and Suzys passion for Africa and her guests is infectious! Each day was filled with action-packed activities and additional, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities (for an additional fee) were also provided for those who wanted to explore Africa on a whole new level (i.e., balloon rides). The lovely guests that I met on this group were well-traveled and shared the same love of travel as I. It was refreshing to hear about other adventures that they had taken with AFS and I am looking forward to seeing them again on future trips! I cannot thank Suzy and Terry enough for providing this amazing opportunity which I will cherish for a lifetime!

My recent trip with AFS to Thailand was spectacular. The group of people I traveled with was exceptionally nice and fun. The roommate selected for me was great and I feel like I have a new friend. Their itinerary was interesting and I got to experience many new things. Our seats for the Lantern Festival were the best being front and center.

Just went to Africa for safaris with guide Janice McDonald and a great group of travelers. It was the trip of a lifetime! Accommodations were great, everything was taken care of for us. Just got back from the 4 European countries high Alps trip. It was amazing, stunning views and lots of fun with all the adventures we did. Well organized and not the run of the mill tour trip. We did it all... Met wonderful like minded people on the trip. My first time with this group and already trying to plan for next year! Adventures For Solo Travelers is both highly efficient and mesmerizing tour operator. Week long, the optimum length, trips all over the world are very well calculated, coordinated, and are fantastic and unusual. Local guides and hotels are to die for. Taking into consideration how few people participate in this mixing of the most delicious and affordable tour feast makes it even more desirable.

I have traveled several times with Adventures for Solo Travelers and would not use any other company. The hard work put into each trip itinerary is evident, and the amazing destinations have allowed me to see the world - something I could never do on my own. An adventure filled trip with like minded travelers. I enjoyed my trip as the itinerary was unique and filled with many new opportunities. The small group of 20 was a perfect size to move from place to place, fit into restaurants, and get to know fellow travelers. This is my 3rd trip with AFS and I had another wonderful trip to West Africa. It was a great opportunity for me to explore and learn the cultures and the environments in Senegal and The Gambia. Carol and Angela did a great job making this trip memorable for me. Angela, the local tour director, was always pleasant and available. When my lost bag arrived the next day at Dakar airport at 11:50 PM it was Angela who had brought to the hotel. It was also Angela who woke me at 2:00 AM to deliver it to my room. I was very grateful as we were leaving for The Gambia that morning. I wouldnt have received my luggage until leaving later that week had not she and her organization bent over backwards to get me my bag.I wound have enjoyed more game drives on this trip. Hotels at the back end of this trip were very nice.

Ive been on a three trips. The first trip (Safari/Cape Town) was awesome and even though we had some issues the leader made it worthwhile. The second trip (Animal Sanctuary/Safari) was memorable as I made friends I expect Ill have for the rest of my life; including my girlfriend! The third trip (Dalmatian Coast on a Clipper Ship) was fabulous - 5 countries in 9 days!! This year continuing to travel with AFST. First to Egypt where we will meet up with great friends from previous trips. And later this to China - wow the bucket list is emptying fast!!!!! Adventures for Solo Travelers provides superb trips at reasonable prices. Their trips are shock full of activities and adventures including hiking, boat rides and local transportation such as tuk tuks. Many trips have animal sightings or interactions. Participants on these trips usually interact readily with others, making the trips more fun - but this is about enjoying travel not finding the love of your life, although that does happen sometimes.

Just came back from my 12th trip with this organization. What can I say but wonderful group of travelers and amazing experience exploring Senegal/Gambia. Most travelers do not get a chance to explore this part of the world. Our days were full of new experiences such as following the roots trail or experiencing walking with Lions. I can’t imagine how the trip leaders manage the chaos of organizing 40+ people, but they didn’t break a sweat. Our domestic tour guides were exceptional, friendly and welcoming. This was my 2nd AFS trip. We had the BEST team leader Janice McDonald. She was on time, detailed, informative, has a great sense of humor. Very interactive with the group. As always Susie organizes great trips. Senegal and The Gambia are certainly places for the traveler, not the tourist. The terrain is desert and boring and the days were long arriving at the hotels after dark many nights. But for the traveler, the fishing markets, lion walk, Goree Island and other places, as well as the people leave lasting impressions.

This trip was a great introduction to the Western African nations of Senegal and The Gambia. Even though The Gambia is a more difficult travel environment, AFS and the guides did a good job of keeping us on schedule.

I have traveled with AFS on four different adventures...all different and all fantastic. The attention to detail and planning makes each adventure truly remarkable and memorable: a luxury cruise on the Adriatic in a tall ship, to the wilds of Mongolia; from Northern Italy and Leonardo da Vinci, to the wide dry savannas of South Africa and Namibia. I have met such wonderful travel friends and gained confidence in seeing the world as a solo adult. Wonderful company!

I just finished my third AFS trip, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and it was amazing! I have had some fabulous adventures and met some wonderful people through AFS. I cant imagine traveling with anyone else!

Absolutely loved my first trip with AFS. I crave adventure, but cant always find someone to go along with me. So glad I found this group because I plan to go on many more adventures with them. I never thought I was a group travel person. I hate crowds. But I never felt like I was in a crowd with this group. Whenever we were out visiting a site or pursuing an adventure in the jungle, I was with a group of friends, not a group of strangers. I think every single one of our groups (and sometimes they were everybody and sometimes just a few of us), we got preferential treatment and actually had our own personal guide. I cant emphasize enough the level of service I received with AFS. Although we had our fearless tour leader with us,, each and every place we went, there was a local guide available to help us navigate or answer any questions we had about the local area. I felt completely pampered every step of the way. When I do go on a trip, I am usually the person who does all the planning and figures out what we want to do and where we want to go. I felt so relaxed having these arrangements already made for me. All I had to do was enjoy the trip. And yes, spontaneity was allowed. One time we were heading somewhere as a group and we saw something interesting on the side of the road, and we all yelled Stop! The next thing I knew, the bus had turned around, and we all got out to check it out. Another time, a few of us wanted to go explore another site on our way home, and the bus driver was kind enough to just let us out where we needed to be. I cant imagine having that kind of flexibility with any other group. I cant say enough good things about AFS. This was my first trip and I will be going on many more. About 80% of the group I was with had been on a trip was AFS before. And every single one of them was incredibly welcoming to the newbies! If you want a vacation that is adventurous and exciting, yet stress free and full of pampering, then this is the group for you! Hope to see you on my next trip!

Highly Recomend! Had an amazing time on my very first AFS trip! Enjoyed every minute - from the streets of Cusco to Machu Picchu to an awesome Eco Resort in the Peruvian Amazon. I’ve always handled all the logistics of my previous travel for me and my family - but this time i worried about nothing other than being on time. I travelled with a friend and it was the perfect mix of doing things together and also separate with others in the group including dinner and excursions. My experience with the AFS Africa trip was absolutely life changing! Before booking my trip I thought going to Africa would be both out of my price-range and too much of a hassle to organize on my own. But once I found AFS, saw the pricing, the itinerary and the activities, I knew that going to Africa was possible.When I arrived I was pleased to see that everything on the itinerary was true, no bait-and- switch here. The accommodations were top-notch, the activities were well thought out and completely outside-the-box. We did things, (walked with cheetahs) and visited places (Penduka Woman’s Village) I never thought I would have the opportunity to see.Africa is a wonderful place. I am so glad I got to experience it with a team, ((Terry & Suzy) (along with my fellow AFS travelers)), committed to highlighting the beauty of every area and making each trip memorable.I absolutely recommend AFS.
