Yesterday was my first visit to Dr Downer and it was a wonderful experience.The staff were all very friendly/professional.Emily,was so sweet and made me feel very comfortable with the entire process.I was a bit nervous going there because I didnt see a lot of reviews on them but I am sold! Dr Downer took care to explain everything thoroughly and wasnt just trying to rush through the visit. I appreciate that as too many times that is the case. Even though it was my first visit;Id recommend anyone to give them a try.

I dont really like to go to the dentist. But let me tell you, these folks make it so easy to relax! I would recommend Smyrna Dental Center to anyone looking for a caring dental experience. Cant say enough good things about Dr. Downer and the staff!!!!

Very nice & professional staff. I’m usually not very comfortable in a dental office but they were excellent at putting me at ease. Dr. Downer answered all my questions and explained all my options.

I receive excellent service, Im the type of person that doesnt like pain, me and pain do not get along, but Smyrna dentist work with me so well I enjoy going to the dentist now, I will refer all of my friends to Smyrna Dental.

I have anxiety and health issues going on and they were amazing in working with me to come up with a plan that will work for me. I did need a referral to a dental surgeon but they referred me to one that seems equally compassionate to patients who might have trepidation due to anxiety. I will definitely be returning and look forward to working with their team again!

I had an amazing experience! When my dentist retired I tried two other dentist who did NOT give me a good feeling, I checked out the ratings for this office, went in yesterday and they definitely surpassed my expectations, also confirmed my suspicions about the last dentist I went to(that the work they said I needed wasn’t true). I have high anxiety and the doctor was EXTRA COMFORTING(his voice, and his gentle choice of words). Going back today, and I actually look forward to it!

I went three days ago to have a tooth pulled and not only was it a pain free experience, but I even had to hear from Dr. Downer that it was pulled because I didnt feel a thing! Wonderful experience! Very welcoming and informative. I had to have some work done and the price they quoted me after insurance was over 1,000 under what I was quoted at another place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I needed a root canal and they worked me in quickly. Dr. Downer was awesome! He explained what would happen, made me feel comfortable, and I didnt feel a thing! The whole staff is professional and care about their patients.

Dr. Downer and his staff is absolutely amazing!!! I am very insecure about my teeth to begin with due to my past drug addiction. I have always felt very comfortable in his office and never felt judged by the appearance of my teeth. Dr. Greg and his staff has worked with me on several occasion to find the best treatment plan that worked for me financially. I am so grateful for him and his team for making me able to smile again!!!!

My appointment was at 1:00pm I didn’t talk to the guy until 1:45 X-rays were done the first 10 mins of arrival the rest of the time I just waited . Staff is very nice

I was really nervous going in because I haven’t been to a dentist for a while and with covid happening, I’ve been procrastinating but Emily made me feel at ease and there wasn’t any awkward moment and I didn’t feel uncomfortable as I thought i would at first. My experience at the Smyrna Dental center was amazing. When you first walk in the door you are greeted with friendly smiles that makes you feel welcomed. I have went to several dentist over my 72 years, this is the first dentist that knows how to give shots that you do not feel. I had a long dental procedure and I found them to be very patient, they allowed me to have breaks in between without complaining or getting upset. I highly recommend this dentist if you are looking for a dentist that understands and cares about his patients.

Took my daughter to see the dentist and the staff was friendly and courteous. Because of covid I had to send her in by herself and they took excellent care of her. My children really enjoy saying this dentist.

If you value your teeth, consult with Dr. Downer and his informed, capable staff. This is modern dentistry. The science is backed up by state-of-the-art equipment, plus prestine premises. The business end is well managed. I entrusted Dr. Downer with my shattered molar. I encourage those with lesser or greater issues to do so as well. My only complaint is that a previous dentist provided nitrous oxide during procedures, which is not available at this practice. The only reason not to see Dr. Downer is if you have maintained optimal dental hygeine and regular professional care elsewhere, just like the Crest ads advise.

My visit with this dentist was outstanding.. i had a bad tooth ache and they worked me in. Did a pretty much painless root canal and temporary cap. I will be going back when the crown is ready. Very friendly crew and office and exam rooms were clean right down to the smell awesome job guys...

Comfortable the entire time!A close relative of mine is a dental specialist and recommended I go to Dr. Downer as I am new to the Nashville area and havent actually been to the dentist in two years. I chipped a tooth over Thanksgiving and needed to get into the dentist fast. His front desk staff returned my calls quickly and was able to squeeze me in! I was impressed by the professionalism of all staff and cleanliness of the facilities. I also appreciated that Dr. Downer and his assistants put me at total ease the entire time I was in the chair (I have a LOT of anxiety in the chair). Dr. Downer explained things very clearly to me and showed me photos and xrays of my mouth so we could come up with a treatment plan together. I had one filling done and two crowns put in over teeth that were permanently yellowed from the inside and starting to decay (no amount of whitening would save them and I have always been self conscious). After, I left his office feeling so so so much more confident about my smile and I was pain free the entire time! His dental assistant was so attentive the entire time during the procedure, making sure I was comfortable and at ease. I also went in for a cleaning with a very kind hygienist who got me in and out in no time! I highly recommend Dr. Downer and his staff for any dental work or cleanings you need. This is a family business, and Dr. Downer and his staff make you feel like youre part of the family!

As a new pt I was very impressed with the front office staff, the dental assistant, the hygienist, and the dentist. I had been looking for a place that understood how claims work with federal insurance. The dentist and his staff are both knowledgeable and honest. I had a very thorough exam using modern state of the art equipment. Friendly, professional crew; keep doing what youre doing. Not many ppl will say they enjoy going to the dentist. Awesome dentist and staff. Great location, relaxing atmosphere. They got me in with late notice and the teeth cleaning was thorough and relatively painless despite not having been to the dentist in a few years. Dr Downer is as good as they come and the rest of the staff (Emily, Shannon, Christin) are top notch. I will be back and will be recommending to friends and family.

Everyone was kind, Including the Dentist & all assistants.I was scheduled to come back for a cleaning, but before pulling out of the parking lot- I was called and informed someone had cancelled their appointment and let me know that they could see me ASAP if I was willing to come in.
