There are truly no words for how beautifully FL Sims, particularly Ms. Linda Thrasher, treated my family during our time of bereavement.My aunt passed away Monday, May 3rd. I had no idea what to do for services and Ms. Linda walked me through it every step of the way. They make it a point to stay in communication with you and answer all of your questions. If there is any back and forth with life insurance companies and the like, FL Sims walks you through that too!Prices were reasonable and the quality was excellent. My aunts service was the most well-done graveside service I have ever attended. All the details were tastefully handled, from the order of the pictures that played at the viewing down to the prayer cards with my aunts obituary. And if you saw my aunt, it looked like she was sleeping. All we had to decide was decide our general idea for the service and FL Sims handled the rest. I cannot thank them enough--I know my aunt is happy.

On February 26, 2021 my beloved husband George Bynoe was called home suddenly to be with the Lord. In my grief I didn’t know how to begin or how this process worked especially during a global pandemic. I was introduced to Sims Funeral Services by a friend who used their services months prior. We met with the services manager Linda Thrasher to discuss funeral arrangements. I knew this was a fit and where we needed to be after meeting with a few other funeral homes. For my dads sudden passing, my family and I had to quickly find a funeral home. I called quite a few funerals, but none made me feel as calm as Sims Funeral home. Fernando is the most caring and compassionate person that I have met in a long time, and his business reflects it.The price packages are extremely fair and the lowest that I found on a tight budget. However, Fernando and his team make you feel as if you have spent millions with them and treat you with the most respect especially during this most difficult time.My family and I are very much appreciative of everything that Fernando and his team have done for my dads funeral, and we will be forever grateful.

As we were faced with the unexpected lose of a loved one, we had to make some important decisions while under high emotional stress. From the moment of the very first phone to inquire about service, up until we hugged and said “Thank you”, the service delivered exceeded any I could have expected. Mr. Sims was compassionate, patience, detailed and professional. When we were not sure of what we wanted, he made suggestions and carefully explained our options. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I cannot express enough the gratitude I have for Mr. Sims & his staff and everything they did for my family and I. My father unexpectedly passed a week ago and I came from VA that day and had to hit the ground running. Mr. Sims and the staff exceeded our needs and expectations in such short notice and did so professionally. I didnt know where to start when my mom passed . Im not from Atlanta and I knew nothing about any funeral homes in the area. Upon arrival at the funeral home and meeting with Linda I knew I had chose the right one for my mom. Linda is a blessing 🙏, She stepped in and made my mom service beautiful and professional. She went beyond the call of duty. Thank you for everything.

I called to gather information about a decedent and the lady who answered was extremely rude. She expressed attitude because she had to provide information. Very unprofessional.

F. L. Sims provides incredible customer service and care to families facing the difficulty of losing a loved one. Fernando and Lydia were awesome and handled every detail for the services of both my aunt and cousin, who unfortunately passed away within months of each other, with care and compassion. Pastor Randy provided a great graveside service for my aunt and also handled my cousin’s celebration of life. All done at half the cost of most metro Atlanta funeral homes. I highly recommend for traditional funerals or cremations.

My husband passed away last year and i didnt know what to do and a very kind Lady name Meredith she was very patience because i didnt have money up front and she helped me to set up on line so friends and family can help with the cost my husband was cremated and i was able to have a memorial service for him and i want thank her and F L Sims funeral Home in Smyrna Ga. They treat you very poorly if you applied through the state. We wanted to view our father before he was cremated because we never got a chance to see him before or after he passed.I was heartbroken to find out my father was already cremated 😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😢😭😭😢😭😢😭😭😭😭😭😭! The were supposed to call family! He still had a wife and living children . So sad. If anyone is reading this please don’t choose this funeral home we were treated poorly. If you do make sure you have money because if you don’t they won’t care at all.

They showed us no compassion on the day of my brothers funeralI do not remember the name of the woman who was directing people to come and look at my brother but they all complained that he answered them very badly, even the pastor and the saserdote told him to have compassion that he was very inhumanAnd when they sent the body to Mexico they sent it to the wrong cityIt was all a total disaster I would never recommend it
