I was planning on moving out. I decided to stay because I really like it here. I have a house in the Hamptons, but I want this to be my home. Truthfully, I feel when I come to the office I am with my family. Christine, Vanessa and Stephanie always make me smile. Thank you.
I have been living here since I moved here and I plan to be that way before I leave Long Island. I would not lived here for that long if I did not like it. The environment is good; the maintenance and landscaping are frequent; the place feels safe; and the stuffs are responsive and helpful. Besides, we have a pool, a gym, and even a basketball court. It is close to the grocery stores and parks I go to, and places like car dealers, cvs and banks next to the community. I have not had many maintenance problems but every time the technicians such as Roberto is coming to fix them real quick. If anyone is looking for a place with quality and service, you should consider here.
We were considering moving into Avalon Commons. However, that is no longer the case. My fiancé had sent two emails to their leasing office and on both occasions, his emails were ignored. We are not interested in giving our business to a company with a leasing staff that thinks ignoring potential residents is an acceptable business practice.
Roberto from maintenance came by to look at our AC. He was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the system. He explained to me what seemed to be the issue, the fix he was implementing, and that he would return a couple hours later to make sure that everything was working as expected. He came back when he said he would, re-checked everything and assured me the issue was fixed. I felt the service was above and beyond, and tried to give him $20 for his efforts, but he very politely declined, explaining that this level of service was his job. I wish I could give him 6 stars.

To say this place has there act together would be an understatement. My family and I needed a place to stay for a few months while we were in between houses. We found Avalon in Smithtown and we were delighted!! Stephanie in the office is amazing. Every call/email was answered promptly!! The apartments are immaculate and and pool is the best. My boyfriend and I moved into Avalon about 2 months ago and our experience has been amazing. It is quiet, safe and peaceful here. Our neighbors as well as everyone else weve met around the complex have been so friendly and welcoming. The office staff, especially Stephanie who has been helping us since before we moved in, has been extremely kind and helpful. All our questions have been answered within minutes. Sean from maintenance is fantastic. His demeanor and his willingness to asset the residents with their needs is very impressive. I randomly saw him at the complex. I asked him about a simple repair. He had it fixed within a 1/2 an hour. I give him higher praise. Thank you Sean.
Sean and Mike responded to my service request at Avalon Commons in a very pleasant and professional manner. They assessed which services were required for the situation, then made the necessary repairs efficiently and kept the working area neat and tidy. They did a great job!
We have been living here at Avalon for almost 2 years. Roberto is an amazing, hard working individual. He is the only one that comes to our service calls promptly, professionally and he does his work with pride. He explains everything as he is doing it and if for some reason he cant fix the problem he will make sure the problem gets fixed and he will definitely follow up to make sure things are working properly.. Every maintenance personnel should be like him...

I’ve been a resident of Avalon for many years now and I must say that it has a good maintenance service and what makes it even better is having a competent & reliable staff like Shaun. He’s such an asset to the community & company he works for. He always has a wave or smile when he sees you in the community. He’s very Professional the way he presents himself, observes safety measures, respect for your stuff and competent in doing his job. He takes his time to try to explain what seems to be the problem, does things right the first time & if he needs to come back he does when he says he would not leaving you wondering. He took the initiative & volunteered to fix the patio screen door even though it’s not on the requested job to do instead of waiting for me to ask him if he could fix it too or worst ask me to put a new service request. That’s doing his job above & beyond. The maintenance service and staff as good as Shaun makes a big difference in an apartment living. Thanks Shaun!
If there is 10 * stars, I will give.We moved from California to here, and I must say amazing from day one, Brandon, we drove cross country, we were tired, we arrived at Avalon Commons and the keys, apartment clean and ready to move in.Brandon good job, does not stop here...My son is my world, and if he like the place, we as a parents love the place, and everything seems good and excellent.we had a issue, : but the end of the day- trust my guys or future tenant- the issue was fixed, from the maintenance TEAM 10 Stars.We love snow, snow came, and everything was on time, really on time, how much more can you ask when, the Eric ( Supervisor Maintenance ) comes personally to fix the issue, so I do not have to wait. -- Thats a service, really Thank you.Office Team, Christine, Stefanie, amazing, really welcome and understanding and very calm to tenants, I like when people listen first and then answer, because Life is not perfect, but we can manage to respect and like each other. Ive been a resident of Avalon Commons since April, 2012.From the moment I arrived to apply for an apartment, the office staff was so very welcoming and definitely made my transition an easy one.Christine, the office manager is an absolutely a gem 💎. Always so professional and always making sure to take her time to listen to any issue/problem with a very calm voice.Office staff, Stephanie and Vanessa are also amazing and they even know anyone who calls before the resident get the chance to introduce themselves. They are very friendly and professional and do their job to a satisfaction.Now lets talk about maintenance.Every time I call to put an order about something that its not functional in my apartment, lets just say they are here to take care of it....one, two, three....I really want to praise one particular person which is Roberto( known to all of us as CHINO). Chino is always but always very professional when it comes to fixing any issue. Always friendly, always greeting the residents. When hes fixing the problem, he make sure to explain to the resident what the problem and how is going to address it and fix it. Once done as always you get a friendly smile and what is really wonderful. Chino comes the next day JUST to make sure everything is working accordingly. Now thats what I call service.Avalon Commons is always stays clean and very well maintained. Location is close to everything. Neighbors all over the complex are wonderful and its a kids friendly environment. I promise you that if you decide to rent an apartment here you would definitely wont be disappointed. You got the best team working for you.

We looked at all surrounding areas for 3 bedrooms apartments and Avalon in Smithtown was hands down the best space we found for our family. I worked with Stephanie Markowski during the process of applying and moving in and she was great. I probably drove her crazy with all my questions and emails I had but every time she happily responded immediately and helped me through the entire process whenever I had questions. FIVE STARS!!!! Highly recommended.

Stephanie and Christine were both great And responsive while they were working remotely. Moving during Covid was difficult but they both did a great job making sure my move went as smooth as possible. Even after moving Stephanie has constantly checking in to see how things are. Apartments are clean and well-maintained, neighborhood is quiet and secure. Office and maintenance staff are quick to respond and very helpful--Roberto from maintenance responded promptly to several minor issues we had, was able to easily fix them and explained everything he did very thoroughly. Walls can be a little thin (e.g., can hear the neighbors dogs barking occasionally), but otherwise sound is well-insulated. Would highly recommend.
I had my boiler go and not only did they get me a bigger and a brand new one but Sean in maintenance helped me every step of the way thru this process but he also was able to get us open apartment so we could shower

Just moved in a week ago and the move went very well. The complex runs a tight ship as to policy and procedures, and the related paperwork. The application was processed in a day or two over a weekend so I got the apartment I wanted. Stephanie Dilieo has been helping me every step of the way, is very friendly and welcoming, and has answered all my questions. She also did the walk-through with me and cheered me on when I got the keys to the apartment. Woo Hoo! The apartment was just renovated with all new appliances and the place was extremely clean and everything was perfect. I would recommend Avalon Commons to my friends and family whole heartedly!
Our AC went down. Both Eric and Roberto were beyond great with handling the issue as soon as they were able to. Just great service and a great community to live in.

We’re on our 9th yr living here, this review is long overdue & well deserved.The complex is in a safe & good location, the apartment & the community is properly maintained. The maintenance team is great, very reliable & responsive to service requests. The office staff previous & new ones has always been very efficient, acomodating and patient to whatever issues we may have, especially Vanessa she makes sure to respond to all emails/issues no matter how busy she may be. The rent is in the expensive side but you get your money’s worth, one thing I hope management will consider is to give incentive to their loyal renters maybe allow a 2yr-lease, waive one utlility/parking fee as in other complexes. Overall it’s a good complex to live & they have great staff to deal with, worth recommending.

The maintenance here at the Avalon is amazing! Whenever there’s an emergency, they are on call. I just call in to main center and they reach out to get a hold of one of maintenance guys and they come and get everything resolved.My favorite however, is Roberto. He’s dependable and he’s a hard worker. He’s also very respectful, bursting with energy but he works so efficiently.Additionally, I feel lucky to have Roberto as our maintenance guy because if something needs fixing, he knows exactly what should be down. Turns out....this guy really does know!I Just want to also mention that Roberto is very trustworthy and clean ;He cleans up his work. These are all great qualities to have but unfortunately it is a dying art and I’m happy to know that people like that still exists here.

I had such a great experience working with Stephanie. She is very helpful, welcoming, resourceful, easily accessible and her quick responses to email made the moving in process seamless! The Avalon was the first apartment complex I looked at after looking at several condos and I signed the lease the same day as my tour.
I contacted Stephanie DiLeo (Community consultant) today about my washer issue. She was quick to respond by contacting Eric (Maintenance) and Eric immediately responded to address and fix the issue. Roberto the maintenance guy has shown up in a timely fashion for all of my maintenance requests and is always extremely friendly and professional. Lived here for 2 years for graduate school without complaints. The convenience of having a maintenance staff cant be overstated. Steve, one of the main techs here, is readily available, approachable, and professional. He would respond promptly to my work order requests submitted online and most importantly fix what needs to be fixed. I would highly recommend.

I am a current resident of Avalon Commons and I am very happy I chose this community. Both the management and maintenance departments are like clockwork. Christine from management is absolutely amazing. She is always ready to help and very responsive. I also want to thank Eric from maintenance. Since his return, he has immediately responded to all my maintenance requests, the grounds are much cleaner, and he was able to solve an issue in my apartment that nobody else could solve. Place is OK - but be prepared to have rent increase significantly every year like clockwork. Also, very steep yearly amenity fee, and impossible to get full security deposit back regardless of how well you keep the place. There is a cool basketball court, but youll never get a chance to use it - kids from all over town (not Avalon residents) take it over daily. Maintenance guys are good though.
Just had a service call for my dryer and microwave. Put the service notice in and within 3 hrs someone was here to service us. Roberto, the service man, was great! Very pleasant and came back and forth a couple of times for parts. Got it done as quick as I could’ve hoped for. All with a great attitude, and on a rainy day! Lol. Thanks Roberto!!
My husband Dan and I have lived here for many years. We love everything about Avalon. The entire Maintenance team and office staff especially (Christine, Stephanie and Vanessa ) are great to us. If youre looking to live in a good apartment complex we recommend Avalon Commons. I highly recommend this place to live. :) What we really like is how all staff take there time to listen and to talk to you..

We just recently moved out of the Avalon Commons and boy what a trip it was. From the day we moved in we had problems. Our first week there, our dryer didnt work. A couple of weeks later, the dishwasher was broken. A few weeks after that, our dryer didnt work again. During the summer, our entire apartment was infested with flies coming through the window which took a week before anyone here was able to get someone to fix it. During the mid summer months, our AC broke and we couldnt live in the apartment for a week. Even after all of this, we were prepared to leave a positive review because of how well the maintenance team did. However, when we received our security deposit back, we found out we were charged $250 for a clean sweep fee which we declined on our move out form, as well as $400 for painting. Painting that was covering up holes in the wall. Holes we were told were allowed on move-in by the staff to hang pictures, our tv, etc. After fighting with them for 2 weeks, we got a portion of our money back and they sent us pictures of damages we left. These damages included a scuff on the apartment number on our door, water damage on the floor that was marked on move-in, signs our washer was used with some detergent marks, one missed grease spot on our stove, and yes, the nail holes. Getting in contact with their prior resident department about these issues is harder and more stressful than my wifes current job working with COVID-19 patients. If you are looking at apartments and dont mind losing your security deposit and dealing with a litany of issues upon move in, this it totally the place for you. However, if you think that practices such as this are disgraceful, I suggest looking elsewhere.

We have been residents of Avalon Common for 2 months now and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. The main office staff are kind and always quick to respond. All of the maintenance workers have replied quickly to our requests and are always so accommodating. They come within a few hours and even on days off, always helpful and professional. We are so pleased!
I enjoy living in Avalon Commons. Just had a maintenance issue where my kitchen sink was clogged and Roberto stopped by and resolved the issue shortly after I put in the request. I have had other maintenance requests where Roberto is quick to resolve the issues, very efficient and does so with a smile on his face. Thank you Roberto.
I being living at Avalon since May and for the most part has been great, service calls are answered in a timely manner and property is kept in good shape in general. My only concern is the parking situation, since May they had been telling me we will be assigned numbers and nothing has happened yet. When I inquire last week to get a reserved spot I was told they no longer do that and the assigned numbers will take care of that and they will assign one spot per apartment. This does not seem logical as for the most part families have at least a wife and a husband both with cars, one spot per apartment doesnt seem right and charging for it even less right. I certainly hope they re consider their future assignments, we already pay for parking and a high enough rent to be charged even more. Thanks.
Have lived here for over 10 years. Expensive but worth it. Especially pleased with the maintenance services. When something needs fixing, response has been fast and efficient. Especially pleased with Steve G who took care of several issues earlier this week. He was efficient, professional, effective and a pleasure to deal with.
I’m really happy with Avalon Commons. It’s in a great location and everyone here is very friendly. The commons are well maintained. The pool is clean in the summer and the gym is always clean. I have to give it to the maintenance team, they are fantastic. Eric goes above and beyond to resolve any issues there are. When we moved here, he literally crawled through the walls to fix the ac unit (not even joking) and always gets things done ASAP. Haven’t lived at a complex that has such great employees tho work as hard and quick as the group here!
Stephanie Di Leo at Avalon Smithtown is fantastic! She carries herself in a professional manner and gets things done efficiently. While looking for a home for my son to attend stoney brook university she was beyond supportive in finding the perfect place for my son. I would consider her attention to detail and caring ways akin to: home away from home for my son, and she has made a lasting impression on my family. On Wednesday, April 3, frank installed me a new washing machine and on Thursday, april4, he changed the batteries on my alarm and put in a new filter. He did a really good job! He is friendly and personable and is an asset to your organization.
Roberto is the best!! I had a water issue in my apartment and he came as soon as he could and resolved the problem. I have been a resident at Avalon for 15 years and I have dealt with many maintenance people who have worked here and Roberto is one person you will not forget. He is not only such a nice guy, he is a hard worker, always professional and very knowledgeable. When he responds to any maintenance issue I have he is always dependable, efficient and always confident in whatever job he performs. He gets the job done. I am not the only resident who speaks so highly of Roberto, many residents in the community think he is wonderful too!! Avalon is very lucky to have him as an employee. He is dedicated to his job and really cares about helping the people who live here. He deserves more than 5 stars. I will give him 10 stars!!
Steve was awesome and not only fixed my maintenance issue, but went above & beyond after a simple service call. Its comforting to know not only was the issue addressed and that he showed up shortly after my request. But his service of going the extra mile is what put him over the top. We have been living here for 2 years. Very nice place and schools around. I am satisfied with its security and maintenance. My only problem is people dont collect dog poops and the rent increases annually.
We are very happy we chose Avalon Commons as our new home! It has exceeded our expectations in every way! We had an emergency at 10:30 at night and the response was within 10 minutes! All other regular service issues are responded to within hours of the same day .Everyone who works here is very friendly and professional. Very eager to help and they never make you feel that they are annoyed or that you are making too many requests! The entire community is kept immaculate and so pretty. They clean up on a regular basis and we feel proud to live here! We love the pool area and go there regularly! Pool is heated but not overly so. It is clean and well kept.Avalon often hosts special occasions where food is served and also will bring in vendors who sell items at good prices! They even give out breakfast bags on your way to work on occasion! How nice is that! So I guess what we are saying is that its a wonderful secure community and we love living here!

Stephanie DiLeo helped accommodate all of my needs with flexible moving dates, great information about the complex and surrounding area, and overall was a pleasure to work with. The complex itself is well maintained and comfortable, in a great location accessible to many highways, and close to grocery stores and shopping areas.July 2020Updating my review. After staying here for one year, I still highly recommend the apartment complex. Stephanie and Vanessa in the leasing office are wonderful. Even in the midst of COVID-19 they were responsive and helpful with any questions I had, and did a great job of keeping the community updated on new policies as the situation changed. There were some security issues during my one-year stay (cars broken in to), but the team was quick to respond and ensure that the community was informed and that appropriate security was alerted. I still felt safe living in this community. Packages were not stolen, and people were respectful of each other. Id also like to highlight that the maintenance staff here is excellent. They are knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and overall a fantastic team.

This is one of the most friendly, efficient, well maintained and beautiful apartment/aparment-complex I have ever seen over 20 years. The staff are extremely polite, helpful and knowledgable from the time I called them to get information until now (about a year) making our stay pleasant and helpful.I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone without any reservation, albiet a bit on the expensive side. But, I guess it is worth paying that extra few dollars - it really pays for itself over time.Let me give a shout out to Stephenie at the front office - thanks for all you do.

Been here for a couple of months now. Great community in a quiet neighborhood with a proximity to restaurants, shopping centers, and pretty much all parts of long island. Spacious apartments. Every time there has been a (minor) issue with the apartment, the maintenance team(Roberto) is quick to come. Definitely recommend!
I had a quick issue with my fire alarm chirping early in the morning on a Saturday. I thought it needed a new battery but instead it needed to be entirely replaced. Roberto quickly responded to the call on a Saturday morning and, even better, came prepared with everything he might need so he didnt have to leave and then come back again to finish the job. The replacement took minutes and then I was able to leave and run my errands. Thank you Roberto!!
We love living in Avalon Commons. The staff are excellent- for example today I placed a non-urgent maintenance request on a weekend and within 2 hours Roberto arrived and took care of the issue in an efficient and professional manner!
I had multiple minor issues in my apartment and Roberto Diaz was able to fix everything right away. He was so professional, respectful and kind. Most of all I felt safe and confident in his work! This is a beautiful community thanks to people like him!

Just moved into the Avalon Commons in Smithtown two weeks ago and I have nothing but good things to say!! The apartment was left impeccable for us, the grounds are maintained so well, the pool is gorgeous, and our neighbors are so friendly! Btw if you have the opportunity to work with Stephanie in the sales office, you won’t regret it! She’s awesome and made the process so easy for us!
Roberto was the technician for a routine maintenance in my unit. He is a friendly and professional member of the Avalon team. Avalon Commons is a nice apartment complex, conveniently located in Smithtown. I have occasionally had maintenance issues, but the service staff works to address them in a timely manner. I would recommend living at Avalon Commons. I live in a second floor, one bedroom unit.
Roberto has been helping us with some issues weve experienced since we moved, such as a foul smell in the laundry room, broken blinders... And Today we were out of hot water, he promptly came to the apartment to fix it. He is very attentive and hardworking.
