We were looking for a local roofing contractor to help with some storm damage to the roof. Ricky came out and assessed the situation and then communicated with my insurance guy on-site. They both analyzed my damage and agreed that I had a recalled shingle that was discontinued as well as damaged. everything went smoothly afterwards. Once scheduled, the guys were on time every day and cleaned up before they left. The new roof looks MUCH better and we have received a couple of compliments from the neighbors as well. Since we were happy with the roof we also had Lanes install new larger gutters. when the guys arrived to install gutters they were fantastic and it was obvious they knew their stuff because they worked as a team and finished in a timely manner. After being happy with these 2 projects, i would definitely use Lanes Contracting for any future projects that may come up.

My roof was 25 years old and had a corner that was leaking. I asked two guys that I work with and trust if they had any experience with roofing companies. Both highly recommended Lanes Contracting.So I contacted Lanes. They came out, examined my roof, and thoroughly explained everything they would do, including much needed improvements my old original roof. They and gave me a written estimate with two different costs for me to select from. I also got an estimate from another company. Lanes estimate was significantly lower for the same type of singles and improvements.A few days after I accepted their offer, the nicest lady from their office called and gave me the date the work would be done. She contacted me several times before the roof was replaced, and asked if I had questions. She was ALWAYS so nice.On Friday morning, Lanes crew showed up, walked around the house, confirmed everything that would be done, and asked if I had questions. They replaced my roof and cleaned up everything, all in one day! From beginning to end, everyone so nice and professional. I am so thrilled with my new roof. My house looks like new! We are in the process of having a shop built on our property. We contracted with others for the framing, roof, siding etc. only for them not to show up as committed. We just had a new roof put on our house and we could not be more pleased about the excellent work done by Lane’s Contracting, Inc. Ricky and Clay inspected, measured, discussed work needed, and prepared a reasonable estimate of all work to be done. They were extremely professional, cordial, and thorough in describing in detail what would need to be done. All of our siding and trim replaced, and they did a really quality job as well as coming in at a really reasonable price. Their costs for painting are questionable, so Id use someone else for that part, but when it comes to the actual siding, roofing, or similar -- these folks are tops.

I used this company to install a new roof. The work was so high quality, I rehired them to paint the inside ceiling of my home. Now I am hiring them to repair my deck, two of my sheds, and place new siding on my home. When that is done I have more work for them. They are professional; the office is professional and friendly; and the quality of their work is first rate.

We have lived in many places and had to have windows replaced in many of them due to the age of the homes we have owned. We are down in Clinton and finding someone to come to us is a bit of a challenge. Our first impression came from us reaching out and Shannon was very cordial to us. Kyler came down and did the initial discussion and he was very honest, open, and relatable. Then the pricing was done and after obtaining several bids, doing our homework on the window quality, we decided to go with Lanes and could not be happier. Throughout the process which took a while to get the windows due to COVID (not their fault), Sarah and Shannon were just so understanding and helpful. Then once the windows were in, Sarah was super helpful in getting a time and getting them delivered to the house. There were little hiccups because they replaced 21 windows and there was rot in some of the windows that needed to be replaced. Eduardo was the installer and with his team, I did not doubt the quality at all as Eduardo is very transparent and a good communicator. Ricky, who runs the place, stopped in twice as well; once during and once afterwards. This process is stressful but from the start, Sarah and Shannon took away the stress and the rest of the team worked just like them. Polite, understanding, reasonable, and a wonderful experience. Ricky came out to my home 2 weeks ago. He advised me that he would write the quote up and get back to me in a few days. I have called the office twice, and still have yet to receive a quote, or follow up phone call. Very disappointed.

Last summer, I was contemplating making the biggest investment in my home ever - a new roof! I didn’t have to think long before I knew that I wanted to get a quote from Lane’s Contracting because the owner, Ricky Lane Salyers, was someone I knew. Ricky and Clay promptly responded to my request for a planning estimate and came to my house. Within hours I had a quote to consider.It wasn’t until February of this year when I finally made the decision to replace my tin roof with architectural shingles. Once again, Ricky came out and we discussed the process and decisions to be made. Every step of the way he was there to assist me.My roof replacement was not an easy job. Underneath the tin roof, there was a second roof - a wood shake roof - that required intensive labor to remove. Additionally, cuts in a couple of beams were found and had to be repaired. The roofing crew could do it all - there was never any “down” time to go get a contractor to complete the carpentry work - the crew was already there!I cannot say enough about the crew that worked on my house. They worked HARD and with SKILL and KNOWLEDGE. There was rarely a moment they were not full force working, barely stopping to eat. At the end of each day, they made sure the roof was tight and no water would penetrate in the event of rain. Additionally, every day, the site was left clean - no materials or debris lying about except in designated areas or containers.Upon completion, Ricky came by to see if there were any items yet to do. He made sure that a couple of small items, which his project manager already had in the works to be done, were completed.When choosing a business to work with, one needs to not just look at the success of the business, but at the measure of the people who run it or own it. I went on line to find a gutter installation company. Had an estimate from the big company. I questioned the price and it was reduced a little. A few weeks later I found Lane’s Contracting on line. The owner came out a few days later and gave me an estimate and his opinion as to what I was missing. I went with my gut and hired Lane’s Contracting. First of all, the price was considerably better and I was getting more product, based on their suggestion.I called for a delivery date and was told it would be complete within 2 weeks. Well, they came yesterday, which was less then the quoted and did the entire removal of the old system and installed everything in a few hours. I could not be happier in recommending Lane’s Contracting to anyone in need of their services.

Great place, very impressive. The roof was leaking, but due to solar panels we had a limited window of access, when the solar company was able to remove and replace the panels for the roofers. Lanes rearranged their schedule so the could get the job done, and returned on a Saturday to make sure it was complete. If I need another project within their realm of expertise, they are the ones I will call.

My roof was leaking to the point of the ceiling caving in and me having to dump out buckets of water during every rainfall. Lanes Contracting was not the first people I talked to but they were the first ones who seemed very friendly and informative of all the when, wheres, whys and hows of my roof repair work. The pricing seemed fair, on average with other quotes I heard, and too be honest, if you find someone cheap then you will probably get cheap work with a lack of professionalism to match. Overall, I was happy with the price. Most impressive was the professionalism that I felt they projected. Their work and the singles are under warranty also. The work was done with in a day and Ray, the bossman was on hand afterwards to go over the work that was done. He even was happy and OFFERED to pull out his latter and take me up on to the rooftop to check out what I paid for. As well as provide progress work pictures of the job as it was done. Very happy and highly recommend Lanes Contracting in Smithfield NC.

We needed to have our back steps replaced with a very short deadline. Made the call and was on the books for the next day! Great work on the steps, and the crew that came was also excellent. We were explained the new building code and that our steps would look a little different from the old ones. We also were given suggestions on what needed to be done to our front steps for a later time. Would highly recommend this company to anyone!

I called Lane contracting for roof leaks. They were honest and up front about the needs, without being negative about the previous work, or requiring more than necessary to be completed. Very thorough with the specifics needed for repairs and no pressure to complete more than necessary. They also came out same day, in the rain, to check on a roof leak, inspected both inside and out to assure needs, and made necessary adjustments to stop the leak on the spot! Great response time and honest, fair pricing. Highly recommend!

Lanes Contracting was excellent in helping us with our roof, skylight and vinyl siding repair after a recent hail storm. Ricky sat down with us and walked us through the entire repair process so that we would know what to expect, including promising to protect our newly planted landscaping areas around the house, which they did :-). Once we signed the contract Sarah continued to stay in contact with us to set up the delivery of the shingles and let us know if the repairs were going to be delayed any due to weather. Luckily it was only delayed 1 day due to an expected storm on the original start date. Lanes crews were fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. We are so pleased with our new roof and they matched the siding almost perfectly to the 15 year old siding that was already in place. Their professionalism and attention to detail is outstanding, we will definitely be using Lanes Contracting for any future construction / renovation needs !

Personal attention and professionalism. Getting a new roof is unpleasant. Its expensive and loud. But working with Lanes made this process as good as it gets. Since buying my ~100 year old house last year, Id sunk more than $1k into roof repairs. When I asked Ricky (Lanes owner) out for an estimate, he cut to the chase and explained that I could continue to spend money on repairs or fix what previous owners hadnt. At that time we didnt know the extent of the problem, but knew the existing roof wasnt working. When the crew tore off the shingles, they found NO plywood decking. For decades, owners had been covering up the original boards that made up the roof, haphazardly patching problems and leaving up to 1 inch gaps in between those boards. Needless to say, the job ended up bigger than anticipated. Roofs arent cheap, but Im confident I have the best one on the block. I feel secure, my home looks better, and no more worrying about leaks when it rains! The crew was quick and the office staff was professional. Ricky was great to work with and is the type of person that makes you feel like youve known him for ages. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Lanes Contracting.

Lanes Contracting replaced our roof, scraped our popcorn ceilings and painted all walls and trim, and replaced a window that had a broken seal that resulted in the glass looking foggy. All the work was done in an excellent manner. Eeveryone was professional and went above board to ensure that we were completely satisfied. I would recommend them without reservation.

My project is 2 phase. The first, remove all the old roof shingles, replace any rotted wood and install new shingles & vent boots. Lanes team did just that and their Crew was courteous and Angie at Lanes kept me informed of material delivery and when the Crew would arrive.New roof is installed (in one day) and the clean-up was excellent.I did have one concern since I had an old electric roof vent but the Project Supervisor went into the attic to insure the electrical line was properly terminated as to not cause any electrical issues.Phase two to start soon, new siding. I have Masonite siding which other Companies wanted to just cover over. Owner Ricky was steadfast that the old siding be removed and I agreed.Pricing from Lanes is very completive with other quotes I received from Raleigh/ Durham companies.
