George helped me with my phone purchase and was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He made sure I understood everything about the phone and was super sweet during the transfer of phones. My phone had A LOT of pictures that slowed down the transfer but he was so kind even though it took forever.
This location is owned by Verizon, not a franchise. Excellant service! I have been going there for about 15 years.
This place deserves zero stars.. Staff is horrible and refuse to help. They wanted to charge me an additional $40 for a BOX. They were very aggressive and unhelpful. I chose this location because its close to home but I will never step foot in this location everyone should steer clear just go to the one in garner they are much more knowledgeable and friendly and dont charge $40 just for a BOX. Maybe some customer service training is needed for the employees. Customets will actually spend money when treated properly.

I went in yesterday with a galaxy s9. My phone was 2 years old and it was time to upgrade. As soon as i walked in my sales lady was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me get some accessories i had been looking for. Overall i would recommend anybody looking to upgrade to go here.

Useless. That is the only word. We have been with these guys for years and after 10 minutes on the phone with the smithfield sales reps I am leaving them. They refused to quote me a deposit for a line over the phone. I WAS DOING MY BEST TO GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS! The rest of my family is switching to spectrum I was just trying to buy a new phone (in cash) and get a new plan. They absolutely would not tell me what the max deposit would be. I didnt want specifics just a maximum. As long as its less than a grand I wouldnt even bat an eye. Nope not happening they couldnt even guess. Fine so spectrum it is.

My phone quit and could not be repaired. Salesman sang the praises of the promotional discount they had on a Motorola phone. I had to have a phone so I got it. He was extremely helpful til all the paperwork was said and done, then he suddenly had a different attitude. He could not get me out of the door fast enough so he could move on to next person. My questions were answered with a im not sure or I dont know No instruction on new phone at all, I only know how to use it by being self taught. Not very good customer service.

Had such a great experience today. Went in to start a new service plan and was helped every step of the way! Robbie was working with training a new employee and was doing a great job making sure she was doing things right and being thorough. Everyone in the store was very friendly and actually engaged in conversation. I left completely happy with the experience and my new phone. My husband and I upgraded our phones to the iPhone 11 today. We had the best experience we have ever had in a Verizon store. We were assisted by Mr. Duane Haight, who was very professional and knowledgeable. He was patient and took time to answer all our questions. He was able to transfer everything from my old iPhone 6, which had not been updated in years, even though we had been told by different Verizon stores that the transfer could not be done. We have nothing but high praise for Mr. Haight. He is a great asset to your Verizon store. Verizon needs a Mr. Haight in all their stores. We will definitely recommend Mr. Haight to all our family and friends.

Janet is the sales rep you want to see. She is very knowledgeable about the phones and the plans. She will help you decide which phone best fits your lifestyle or if you already have a phone in mind she will help you with that one. She goes above and beyond the Call of Duty. I called her needing a particular model phone and they did not have it in stock at the store. She drove an hour one way to get me the phone that I wanted from another store. Had it waiting for me when I arrived the next afternoon at a pre-planned time. Every time I call or go into that store I ask for Janet and will continue to do so as long as she works at that store.
This was THE most excellent cell phone experience ever. Where to begin.. wonderful atmosphere, friendly, professional, courteous, down to earth, no BS (pardon my French lol) . You are a person there, not just a sale. I have switched carriers back and forth throughout the years..it was aggravating, rushed and you seem to sweat to death in these places. Here, you are seated at a desk, they get to know you, what your needs are, find the best phone and deals! They work hard for your best interest instead of theirs. Courteous to every person that walked in that door, acknowledged, assured they werent being forgotten. And oh my, did Janet and Rachel go above and beyond for my 3 line fiasco transfer lol... I was so hesitant to go back to verizon, but because of this store and those two wonderful ladies, I dont think Ill ever leave!

I love Verizon in Smithfield and our Account Rep. Mr. Rick Starling! He helps me keep our company connected. We only have 15 lines but there seems to always be a need of some kind and I can call Rick or have one of our employees call him and its taken care of! I have never had one complaint from any of our employees about the service they get from Rick! He makes my life easier! And helps me to keep our company communicating and moving every day!
I have had two very good experiences at this location. Joan Matthis was my sales representative both times. Joan is very knowledgeable of the products, very patient with my decision making, and took the time to put on screen protectors. I didnt demand, or even expect this high quality retail experience. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Its like they dont realize their jobs are CUSTOMER SERVICE. No one acknowledges you when you walk in, there is no place to sign in so they know who came in when, and then when they do finally ask who is next you have to fight for your spot! After waiting an hour a sales rep came from the back and took the girl who just walked in saying there was no wait, but 4 others were waiting! Get organized and teach your sales reps about good customer service!

I had to pick a star unfortunately. Just left from there. The gentleman who helped us was absolutely awful. He wouldnt let me explain my questions or offer any suggestions for helping with a freaking $350 bill every month. He talked over me every single time I tried to tell him something. If I talked a little more loud trying to get my point across, he got even louder to talk over me. Customer service at its worst! One of my biggest pet peeves is customer service that act like they dont care! I pay Verizon $3,600 a year and that is what helps pay their salary! There is a lady by the name of Janet that works there that Ive known for a long time and she is great! Other than that, AWFUL! Looking forward to the day that I can pay these phones off and get the heck out of Verizon!

Honestly the WORST Verizon branch. “Verizon Bob” was so disrespectful towards my grandmother and was trying to make suggestions on a phone HE messed up of my sisters. Previously he had erased all of my sisters information on her phone making her have to go to Apple TWICE to try and fix it. Her phone was sent to Apple and they could not fix it due to what he had done. When she went back to Verizon to tell them about the issue he repeatedly told my grandmother it wasn’t his doing and not his problem, waving his hand in her face to make her be quiet and suggesting things that wouldn’t work. Corporate had to get involved just so that my sister can get a new phone. I will NEVER go to this branch again. As a person who works in Customer service, this is beyond disrespectful.
I would have liked absolutely nothing about it had it not been for Cellular Sales specialist Jorge Garcia. That man singlehandedly saved 2 longtime, pays-on-time-and-in-full account holders! He tenaciously kept (patiently and politely) after the corporate Verizon people until finally, AFTER FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS, he was able to get them to do right by us. He never raised his voice, he never got flustered, and I genuinely believe that it never occurred to him to give up. THANK YOU JORGE!

My husband dealt with a lady named Janet Hubert and he told me to come and look for well she wasn’t here so I got a Janet aMaya it was wonderful. she help me and I’m an older lady so she help me to understand. she took time with me and made it very simple. someone I had spent 10 years in the employment industry so I know how hard it is to find good qualified people, but someone did an excellent job In hiring both of these ladies.

This location really didnt deserve the 1 star that I had to put but anyway.. my experience was very rude! I have a contract phone through Verizon but my wife have a prepaid account through Verizon, I been with them 2 years and my wife have been doing business with them for over 5years. to make a long story short I purchased my wife a $85.00 phone from Walmart for a Christmas gift and was sent to this location to get the phone unlock.. first off every time I go in this location to pay my wife phone bill they say I cant pay it there because it is a prepaid phone but end up I can pay it there, but anyway the guy that was helping us looked at my wife and asked her who bought the phone for her and I told him I purchased it and he told my wife I should of bought her better phone... I feel as if that was very rude and in call for. I have no problem with Verizon service but some of the people in this location can work on their customer service skills a little more. And I am just speaking on my very own experiences in this location.

If you want to avoid traffic in DT Goldsboro, this is a quick in & out Verizon spot. Wait time was not even 3 minutes. They answer all my questions, even repeated ones. I would come here again if need a quick purchase.
Good experience with the sales staff here. I normally only go to the corporate stores but these guys actually had the phone I wanted in stock on black Friday. I was in and out in under thirty minutes and all my questions were answered. The staff here have a personal touch because they are professional sales people and are commission based; not pushy mind you but alot more attentive than a by the hour corporate store employee etc. I was given my sales representatives personal cell number for any issues etc.
They didnt have any of the 3 phones I was look to try out. This place doesnt have many phones to look at and hold. You must ask a salesman if they have the one you like in stock.
I visited Verizon in Smithfield for the first time last week. Immediately upon entering I was not impressed with the greeter, who awkwardly passed me off to another sales associate. Neither sales associate seemed interested in offering me any technical assistance or educating me on any of the phones I inquired about. In my opinion, rudely pointed me in the direction of the iPhones and leaving me alone at the display. I was ready to leave and locate another Verizon that is on my route, HOWEVER Joan swooped in to save the day!!Joan was immediately helpful in asking me about my purchasing points and current phone. She was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and steered me in a direction regarding a purchase that best suited my needs. She was not pushy- yet sealed the deal in a respectful and confident manner that left me feeling empowered that I was making an informed purchase. She was thoughtful in the timely set up of the phone and accommodated my time constraints. Joan also sent a follow up text following my visit. I feel confident in recommending Joan at Smithfield Verizon.

I came to this store on Sunday around 6:45 or so. Though their website and the hours listed on the building say they are open until 7 the doors were already locked and employees in the parking lot. One employee (Fabrizio) did come back and unlock the door and I told him I was interested in the deal for getting an iPhone 8 with the purchase of an iPhone X and opening a new line. We discussed that the deal ended that day but he told me they were closed even though it wasn’t 7:00 yet. He told me to come back the next day and he would see how he could help me. Had I known (like he did) that I wouldn’t be able to get the same deal since it was ending that day I would have insisted he help me when I was there.I told him I was interested in buying two new iPhones, cases, screen protectors, and accessories for each but he obviously didn’t need or want my business. Because he didn’t want to help me, I have now missed out on the opportunity to get the iPhone 8 and Verizon has missed out on a new line of service.Verizon spends so much money advertising to get more customers yet their employee turned one away.
