Carstar of Smithfield saved me a lot of money by repairing the door on my van instead of replacing it like another auto body shop (Gerber Collision ) said was needed. The staff was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and nice. And most importantly they did an awesome job repairing and painting the damage on my car. I had my 2021 Mustang GT in there for some repairs on an accident. I must say, the wait time was rough, however NOT THEIR FAULT. As someone who works in the towing industry it’s very hard for body shops ANYWHERE to get the parts and help they need. Even outsourcing is a pain. And that’s where the wait time was coming. Not from CarStar themselves. But the gentleman that was supposed to be in to recalibrate the front end sensors on the vehicle. CarStar of Smithfield’s, Bruce, did a great job in making sure my vehicle was gone through meticulously and put back together flawlessly. The car looks fantastic. Just like it did when I bought it clean off the showroom floor. Thank you gentlemen and ladies for your hard work.

I must say I was reluctant to bring my car here because I wasnt familiar with the business name. When driving up I saw it was a large facility, large waiting area, smelled wonderful! The couple of people I met were great, one being Shanoa (sorry, I think I butchered her name). She is very friendly, attentive to your needs, and her number one focus is to insure you have a good experience with the company. Good job!!

Very poor experience oil all over car when I picked it up and I had to zip tie the bumper back on because they didnt put new clips in. Im not one to usually give bad reviews, but this one is deserved.

The body shop work was great but the customer service they have outside the body shop is terrible. I was given 4 different dates on when my car would be completed. They had my car nearly 3 weeks for a repair that would normally take roughly a week to repair give or take the time it take for the part to come in. I would call one day and the guy would say its going to be ready on Friday and he will call me back. He never called back so Friday around 4:30 I called (taken I work in Raleigh and they close at 5:00), the guy responded with theirs a sticky note on your paperwork saying your car will be ready on Wednesday (November 27th) taken they will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. I called Wednesday to confirm and again the guy inform me that he would call me back. 4:45 came around and no call back. Monday I called and got a different person and the female said she will check and call me right back. I never got a call back. So I contacted my attorney and when she called, she stated that they said they never gave me a completion date(so I just pulled these dates out of no where) and my car will be ready on the 3rd (The following day). So I received a text saying my car estimated completion date from (pending) to 12/03/2019. So Tuesday came along and at 9:04 am I received a text saying they are nearing completion and if they encounter any delays they will contact me (they never called). So again on Wednesday I get another text saying my completion date went from 12/03 to 12/04. Again I wasnt surprise that my car wasnt ready on the 3rd. I called on the 4th and someone yelled in the back that they are putting my car back together and it should be ready by 12:00. 12:30 come around and nothing. So at 4:48 pm I received a call letting me know that my car is ready to pick up. I informed the guy I work in Raleigh, so theres no way I can make it to Smithfield in time to pick up my car before they close. So I finally received my car on the 5th December whereas the original completion date I was told was for the 22nd November after I dropped it off on the 18th November. Again the bodywork was Fantastic but the office staff need to be on the same page before giving different dates. If they wouldve told me they do not know how long it will take, given they have to order parts or they are running behind, that would totally be understandable
