I got my medium length hair cut to a pixie. I was extremely nervous about it, because my hair is one of the few things I liked about my appearance. My stylist said we’d leave “three fingers” of length and go shorter if I wanted. That is not what happened. I don’t know anything about haircuts, so when she told me she was going to use the clippers as scissors would take too long, I didn’t know how short that would be. Plus, I had to remove my glasses so I couldn’t see it in the mirror. My side length is barely longer than one finger. That may not seem like a huge difference, but it truly is.She appeared to have the technical skills down. The owner seemed very nice and conversational. I have seen nothing but good things from this salon, so I was shocked with my outcome. I wouldn’t have even left a review, but I have truly been unhappy with my appearance since. I was inconsolable for the first couple of hours afterwards, and have now resigned myself to wearing ball caps at least until the sides grow out.Leaving my review at 4 Stars only because I know what usually comes out of this salon, but I’m hoping the owner will address this with their staff.

The knowledgeable + talented On Stage Stylists created a dream salon experience! I was confident and knew I was in great hands with the On Stage styling team from the very beginning; during my hair extension consultation. Very knowledgeable, professional, and incredible service. The salon atmosphere is trendy, friendly, and super clean. My hair extension appointment started with a warm welcome from their stellar Front Desk Coordinator. From there I couldn’t believe how quickly the talented staff were able to install my extensions and style my hair. I walked out a new woman and couldn’t be happier with the outcome! The quality of their product is amazing. This was my first time getting extensions and after this wonderful experience, I know it won’t be my last!

Kali has been cutting my hair for over 3 years and I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone but her. I constantly get compliments on my haircut and color. She has also helped my hair restore some of its healthy texture. I travel from the south shore for my appointments and I’m always happy when I leave. There are so many great services available at this salon and I like their product lines.

I came in today to have my extensions taken out and have peekaboo highlights with the same colors. Isabella was amazing! I absolutely LOVE my hair! She did a phenomenal job matching the colors to what I wanted. Wanted something fun, but a little more in the subtle side for work. Shelbi is a great cosmetologist! She not only has done an amazing job lightening my hair, preventing damage from multiple bleaching sessions, and giving me great tips for hair care at home, she is also super fun to be around! She also is a jack of all trades and does basically every spa treatment available out there and her results speak for themselves. You couldn’t find a better place for all your beauty needs! I went to OnStage Salon for coloring and styling this year - I was well overdue for a mommy makeover! The atmosphere was so clean and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I have been coming to her for over a year and the transformation from when I first started coming to now are nothing short of amazing and I credit her for all of it. The only day and time I could go had 1 stylist available. Appt. was made. To be honest I never saw one review on the stylist that was available. I wonderd about it. Then just went for it! Checking in Amiee approached with a beautiful smile. I knew then I made one of the best decisions. I had no idea their Mardi Gras party was that day. Amiee and I shared photos and colours... I made the decision to let her do her thing. After winning a great door prize, food, daiquiris, meeting the Krewe of On Stage, great Mardi Gras discount. After making my next appt. I left completely satisfied. Highly recommend Amiee for great colour and cut.

Mallorie Ory (Mally ) has been my hair stylist for two years and I wouldnt trust anyone else cutting, coloring and styling my hair. I found On stage Hair Studio after leaving a salon very upset after over processing and damaging my hair which resulted in balding in the crown area of my head and hair breakage. I met with Bernard Ory (owner and Mallories father in law ) and he suggested Mallorie to me. It was hair love at first site . Mallorie is the kind of stylist who will listen to your hair concerns and will suggest her professional opinion what she thinks will work best for your hair type. She is not the stylist to push products or hair treatments just to make money. I have recommended several girlfriends. granddaughter and even brought over my 82 year old mother. So if your looking for that stylist that will have you looking fabulous not only when you leave the salon but several days later then she is the stylist for you. Remember the old saying invest in your hair it is the crown you never take off.

I highly recommend her, due to her knowledge and quality of work. Past hair stylists would always miss coloring some of my grey hair and would not use enough hair color. Mariah takes plenty of time to ensure that my color is perfect without a single strand of grey. Additionally, Mariah is very friendly and creates a genuinely relaxing and caring environment for her clients. Mariah is not just an excellent colorist, she cuts and styles my hair the way I ask her to. I do ask for and trust her input because of her extensive knowledge as a stylist. Having had previous bad experiences in the past, I dont trust my hair (which is not only thick but also curly) to just anyone anymore. But now that Ive found Mallory, I can say that I now have a premanent hairstylist. She takes such amazing care of my hair, and all the other employees are so nice. 10/10 definitely going again.

This is my second visit to this studio, my first was to have my hair washed, bleached, and French braided for a festival I was attending. The stylist did an excellent job and the cost was worth it. (Forty dollars plus tip if I remember correctly) The braids were tight and held up the whole time. My second visit did not go accordingly..I went in to get just a wash and braid (same price) and the staff were friendly and polite, but the stylist didnt seem comfortable in braiding hair and as a fellow professional you should never take on a job of which you do not feel comfortable doing so. (Meaning I could have come back at another time) all in all I get back to my home and my braids are already unraveling and frizzy as a tennis ball, keep in mind I havent even left yet. Now Im going to have to spend extra money and time to have this redone before I leave today

Im in Slidell from out-of-town for a wedding and needed a haircut, along with my cousin. Danielle, an extremely nice hair cuttering apprentice, took the pleasure of cutting my cousins hair and my hair. She was new to mens haircuts so the owner walked her through both of the haircuts with tons of detail and finesse. The haircuts came out fantastic and Im extremely thankful to have such a nice look before the wedding. The rest of the staff were really nice and down to earth. The haircuts and styling they gave to other people while we were there looked stunning. All-in-all, on stage hair studio was a great environment for a haircut and they had excellent staff to make for a lovely experience. I recommend it to anyone in the area.
