We got food from the Cafe here, it was gross. One we ordered 2 orders of the loaded chicken tenders we only got one with toppings and they gave us an order of chicken tenders. We also got the Oreo smoothie, that tasted like water with powder in it. Cafe is not worth the cost. Food is gross. Find somewhere else that makes healthy food.

This business is TERRIBLE!. My wife entered into an agreement Feb 2020 which expired Feb 2021. Do to the gym being closed many months because of an Act of God (COVID-19) they are trying to extend the agreement. My wife was hoping to improve her health prior to my retirement Mar 2021 where we would start traveling full time in our RV therefore we would have never entered into an agreement knowing it would extend past Feb 2021. The office staff has shown ZERO understanding and has even threating to have a lean placed on our home. Is this a company you want to do business with, I think not knowing how they do business.

Recently I had a terrible experience at The newly opened ‘Spa & Lifestyle Store’ at Cross Gates Family Fitness at the Military Road location. I’ve a cross gates gym family membership for all 3 locations so of course, I signed up for the VIP promotion for the Spa which is advertised at $49.99/ month for 12 months but for the first 49 members who sign up now, it’s $24/ month annually (btw, without ever getting a massage done beforehand, big mistake).Then, I signed up for the ‘Rejuvenate massage’ (60 min for $95) with Anna. I was specific about my needs with the front desk as I Lift heavy and run outdoors so needed someone with strong hands and Anna was recommended and an appointment was made for last Saturday @8am. This masseuse ‘Anna’ was terrible and even when I told her couple of times that she needs to go hard, nothing. After Anna twice said that I can cancel it and try to reschedule it with another masseuse, I ended the session after 20min. Now this isn’t the end of it as I went to the front desk to reschedule and when I was asked about the service, I didn’t sugartold it and told her, No Good. The front desk woman who apparently took it personally (probably getting commission) started rambling about how she never never had an issue with Anna and blah blah blah. I let her rant before asking, do you lift or run? Anyway, I again described my needs and asked for someone with strong hands. I was told that there’s a masseuse at another location (Pontchartrain) but that she couldn’t accommodate early morning or in the evening so I reluctantly scheduled another appt for 9am on upcoming Friday. The front desk woman again started rambling about how this other masseuse has her boyfriend who’s supposedly 250lbs in pain. Ah, that would be a ‘Fail’ but ok. I told her that I signed up the VIP service but if the 2nd masseuse didn’t satisfy my needs, I’ll cancel the contract. To which, the front desk woman replied, no you can’t as you signed an annual contract. On my way back home, I started thinking how obnoxious this lady was and That I just signed up for the VIP service with an annual contract without ever actually getting a massage done beforehand. However, it was only couple of days ago and if I’m not satisfied with the service it is my absolute right to cancel the contract as it is not a Prenup. I signed the contract in good faith and was gonna give another masseuse a try before deciding on anything. That being said, I was Not gonna patronize a business which hires employees with an attitude problem. I called back the Spa and told them to cancel my future appt and have the director of Spa or the manager of cross gates gym call me back as I would like to file a complaint against the rude employee and cancel my annual Contract. To wit, I’ve yet to hear from anyone at cross gates (incompetence much) so I’ll just dispute the VIP annual contract amount with my credit card/ bank. If you ever decide to patronize ‘The Spa & Lifestyle Store’ at Cross Gates at Military Location, pls do so at your own discretion!Sent from my iPhone

I love coming into work out and the staff are so nice. From day one I was greeted with a smile. Also, sales manager Missy was the best. She is very professional and will explain everything to you. I really appreciate there concerns for each person to work out safe . Awesome place.

If you’re looking to get a membership at Crossgates on Military go see Dave. He is fantastic and very thorough about what Crossgates has to offer. He showed me around and answered every question that popped into my mind. Very welcoming atmosphere at this location. I highly recommend! Thanks Dave!

They’ve been charging me while they’re closed for COVID-19.Even after I called them and told them do not charge me .And now after I called them again to cancel the membership they do not want to cancel it even my friends have the same problems so be careful people don’t get ripped off.

Cross Gates as a gym is great but one employee can ruin it for the entire company . When a guest does not have a pleasant experience with one employee sometimes it’s a reflection on the company as a whole . Jill at the service desk at this particular location was very insensitive and her tone of voice came off as rude. I understand they have a job to do but you should not have someone with that kind of attitude calling the shots . The service desk is the very first encounter your members will experience. If that experience isn’t great it can ruin your chances of potential new members or returning members. I suggest giving Jill a customer service class and maybe even a hug before allowing her to be the first experience your members will experience .

Love this place!! No gym in slidell can compare. Its always clean and smells great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The classes and aquiptment are great. Theres endless things to do for family and fun. Worth every penny and would definitely recommend to everyone looking for a great family gym.

I really enjoy have a convenient place to work out close to home. I have found their fees are a bit high for what I use there. IT seems everything I use gets extra fees attached but the pool (which I dont use) stays the same.

I had them for almost two years. My kids loved it. Customer service is not the most helpful but I can deal with that as long as my kids are happy using the pool and daycare.

Nice gym equipment clean,day care a plus, racket ball, tennis courts, workout classes, great pools but no inside pool a little pricey for the family rate.

I was a member here for 6 months. The first male staff member I met there gave me a lecture about how the heart is a muscle, even though I was a biology teacher, and all I asked him was how to work the buttons on the treadmill. Another male staff member at the front desk made a slurping sound insinuating that he wanted to lick all the sweat off of me after I was done a tough workout, which is sexual harassment. They never had enough equipment to go around in the exersize classes, even though this place obviously makes a lot of money. The kick-boxing class did not even provide punching bags. They expect you to punch the air. Their equipment in the weight area was scant and outdated as well. Many of the members here were also snobs, and even the gyms voice message refers to their members as better people than other people at other gyms. I will never set foot in this place again.

This is the best gym in Louisiana actually, the best gym ever ..it has something for everyone they offer biking classes, racquetball, aerobics, free weights, swimming pool, daycare, Physical Therapy, masseuse, geriatric classes, food, Shops,Spa . All for an amazing price a month too I wish they were everywhere .

Equipment (bars and weights) old, some falling apart. No one racks their weights, so you have to hunt for what you need. Shower room needs attention...

The change from Slidell Athletics to Crossgates has made it a little too pricey and too much of a boutique gym. They charge for every single thing even to show your child how to operate equipment and even if they are over the age of 12 they cant workout with a parent until they are 15 which is ridiculous

This Crossgates Family Fitness club located in Slidell, La is a good place to workout. Families can enjoy a beautiful, relaxing day at the pool without being bothered by anyone. Crossgates opens up early in the morning for those who like an early workout, and closes late for those who like to get a late workout in. There is equipment for all kinds of workouts and it is all updated and new equipment.
