I loved this bakery! Not only were the pastries amazing but the custom carrot cake with cream cheese frosting I ordered for a birthday was the best Id ever had! The staff was so patient and helpful as I picked out different treats for my office and asked a million questions. The prices were also great for the quality and service. I highly recommend this bakery and will definitely be going back!

My favorite breakfast spot in Skowhegan! Not great to sit in but the spinach feta croissants and raspberry scones are delicious. On the pricier side for breakfast and coffee. Decent coffee per my husband. Great staff!I also had them make me a smash cake and they did exactly what I wanted and it wasn’t badly priced. Great little downtown bakery.

You could very easily open the doors to one person at a time inside, miss your stuff, im not local so calling ahead and also not being able to see what is available doesnt work

We have used the bankery on several occasions. The first photo is a flourless chocolate cake with triberry filling. The rest of the photos are our wedding cake and cupcakes. Everything has great taste and its all decorated perfectly. Always fairly affordable. They also have great treats at the shop ready to go

Hello -I have to share that a couple of weeks ago I traveled to Portland for a outdoor celebration my granddaughters Birthday .I chose to buy my pastries at The Bakery . My family and I was very pleased all was delicious!But, On this day October 9 my sisters Birthday Whom lives in Skowhegan.. I live in Portland and wanted my sister to have some specula pastries so I called and placed an order with The Bakery . I had made a mistake with my order so I was calling back to change it . CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE .At a time when life there needs to be kindness -To the women who spoke those unkind wordsBe Nice .I also want to say if it wasn’t for it being for my sister on her Special day I would of canceled my order .The pastries are well-made and delicious.But I won’t be returning to The Bakeryrespectfully,

Discovered this gem after hearing others recommending it. My cannoli was superb and my wife had a decedent chocolate covered brownie. The staff was friendly and helpful.

They made the cake for my daughters wedding this weekend and did a phenomenal job. My daughters cake had graphic representations of special moments in their lives, first date, proposal, etc. The artist painted these images on the side of the cakes. Absolutely incredible. I wish I were able to share a photo of her cake. And it tasted delicious!

Ive never been disappointed in the cakes or cupcakes Ive gotten here. They are always delicious and are the most beautifully decorated in the area. I recently ordered a cake the same day (which I wouldnt recommend doing!) and thankfully, they were able to accommodate my request. The cake was great, and fabulous as always.

Ive been visiting relatives near Skowhegan for over ten years I never knew this place existed until last week. Amazing desserts! I cant wait till my next trip to Maine and will definitely stop several times! The Paris-brest is the greatest!

Their cinnamon rolls are the best. My youngest loves the cake pops. We walk there every few days

We had a small cutting cake made here for our wedding. It was vegan (we requested that, they have other options) and so delicious! A lot of the time vegan cakes are dry and this was certainly as good as any cake Ive had with or without dairy. Also, it was beautiful! I asked for a pretty specific design and flower colors and they did such an excellent job, I couldnt be more pleased! I wish I lived closer so we could try some of their other baked goods!

The baked goods are incredible! So tasty and good. My only company is that they run out of things early in the day so I often cant get what Im looking for. I live an hour and a half away. However, this doesnt change the fact that the food is absolutely scrumptious.

Was intrigued by the maple bacon cupcakes, having heard of bacon as a flavoring. However, the only bacon was a crumble on top, and the frosting was sickly sweet on a plain yellow cupcake.Tried the m&m cookies, and there was too much salt for my taste - noticeably more than other similar cookies. Perhaps theyre of the school that thinks salt enhances sweet flavors, but there was way too much.Not at all impressive.

I was a little disappointed with the Eclairs...the filling was kinda dry and not enough Chocolate...They want a great Eclair they should have one of their cake decorators Heather Vallier make them. She makes the best I have ever eaten.

Amazing!! The staff is awesome! It is in a unique location in downtown Skowhegan in an old bank and the way they have renovated the inside is gorgeous. Their choice of pastries are spectacular with yummy selection from raspberry cream horns to die-for croissants! They decorated their cakes expertly and use fresh, local ingredients.....YUM!! If you didnt know they were there, youre missing a treat!!!

The setting is actually an old bank - hence the name. Very interesting to look around. We ate lunch there, enjoying a delicious veggie flatbread and ouzo chicken salad, then got pastries (to die for) to go. Everything looked tempting, but from personal experience, I can highly recommend the scones and croissants

Amazing! We used The Bankery for the cakes for our wedding last month. Matt was awesome to work with, and was especially responsive and helpful with determining quantity and accommodating our gluten free crowd. Everyone raved about how delicious the cake was!! We were pleased with the cost and it was very easy and efficient combining with our floral from Skowhegan Fleuriste, with only one delivery charge.

The food is very good. Cakes r the best Ive ever tasted, as are the scones. My issue is with being overcharged. This has happened to me at least 3 times. As much as I like the food I think I may stop giving them my business. My sister & I stop in a lot & get the half priced pastries. What happens is they often still charge u full price for the half priced stuff. U dont get a receipt unless u ask for one and then its not itemized so u have no idea what u pay for individual items. This last time, yesterday, I once again paid then realized it was more than it shouldve been. I called & asked the prices of cream horns & scones. The woman confirmed the price & that I was charged full price for the cream horn. No apology or offer to refund. Its only 1.25, but if I wanted to pay full price Id have gotten a fresh one, not the bargain ones. The most annoying thing is the woman who rang me up said These are all the half priced items correct? And still charged me full price, then didnt give me a receipt. Ive been here a lot & try to save when I can because their prices r quite high.I know this has happened numerous times, but its a bit embarassing to go back & complain about being overcharged & hold up the line.If I do get a big craving for a scone perhaps I will get ONE and only one, so Ill know what I am charged for that one item.Their pastries are quite good though and cakes are the best around. Just be aware if buying half priced items.

I drive an hour from the Augusta area to buy things at this wonderful place! Breads, rolls, cupcakes, pastries of all kinds. Such quality products! I cant say enough about them. Definitely worth the ride.

Very nice business. Everyone there is so friendly. Great fresh flowers, nice house plants that can be ordered as well as delicious baked goods. I also enjoy the Stonewall Kitchen products that they have to offer. Skowhegan is so lucky to have a business like this in town!

Ive always gone to the bakery (everything is incredible), but I only recently realized that the fleuriste has great gifts! I picked up stocking stuffers, and a small holiday ceramic, plus they made a beautiful arrangement for it on the spot.

Nice place with upscale quality and detail. Unfortunately, the kids were not fond of their buttercream and would only eat the cake part.

I have gotten 3 custom cakes from them over this past year.... none have tasted all that good, dry and flavorless. I keep trying them in hopes it was just the flavor choices but this last one just sealed the deal for me that they just dont taste good. They also spelled my sons name wrong on his cake. Weve tried and tried but were at the point of going elsewhere from now on.

The staff were nice and helpful. And the desserts I purchased were delicious.

I needed a cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and didnt live in the Skowhegan area any longer. I asked a few friends and they all said the Bankery did a very nice job and was reasonable in price. I called and told them what I wanted, my parents didnt want a fancy formal cake and they were married on Halloween. When I picked the cake up yesterday I was amazed. It was perfect, they knew what I wanted before I did! My parents loved the cake as did all of the guests. We got many compliments. It was also one of the tastiest cakes I have ever eaten. They helped make my parents special day even better!

Have gone to and had many baked goods from The Bankery, so when it came time to order a 60th birthday cake for a very dear friend, I looked to them for the cake. BIG MISTAKE! I went to their website and chose a cake from their pictures. I made some changes and I paid nearly $150 for the cake. I was extremely disappointed. The cakes looked nothing like the picture and the almond cake was dry enough to have been a week old. I wont be back!!!
