I love this place so much! I moved to Sioux Falls all the way from Texas and was living on my own for the first time. I have never had to deal with car troubles on my own before. Everyone here was so kind and helpful. I felt valued as a customer, and they always could get me in and have the job done quickly. The inside is nice and welcoming as well. This place was amazing!

I bought a used vehicle that had a 7 day return policy on it. I wanted to get it checked out before I decided whether to keep it or not. I took the car to T & A to have them evaluate it to see if there was anything wrong with it. When Mark C. called I was prepared to be told I’d need to have multiple things repaired. (I feel like anytime I’ve taken a vehicle into a shop they always find something “wrong.” Mark told me he didn’t find anything that needed to be repaired or replaced. I was very pleasantly surprised. I immediately knew I’d found the place I’d be taking all of my family’s vehicles to. Not only was the staff friendly, they were knowledgeable and trustworthy as well. If you’re looking for a reliable place to service your vehicles, T&A is it. Highly recommend.

Not happy with their service. Its been about a month now. My fiance set up the appt based on location. Walking distance. My AC was fixed for a couple days it ran great. Filters were changed so it ran so much better. Then the squeak comes back within 3 days of it being fixed. And the AC loses coolness again. The squeal gets louder so I take it back and leave the VW again for a day. And I get told its now the fan clutch which would be another $700 on top of the $400 already spent for what...? A temporary fix! Im not happy any way you look at it. My fiance is a mechanic whos very busy at his job but I shouldve been patient and had him fix it, because now were out that money with no good AC that causes problems if I turn it on

I ended up at T&A by chance. I’ve had plenty of bad luck in the past with auto repair shops. I’m always hesitant considering my lack of car repair knowledge. Mark was great! He broke everything down for me and explained it in a way that made sense to me. He is honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend!

I was referred to T & A by Boyer Garage for some A/C problems. I stopped by so they could check the car and give me an estimate. We agreed on what would be done, and I took the car down the Next day. As he said, Mark provided me a ride home and then picked me up when the job was done. I would highly recommend T & A- they did what they said they would.

My car was jump started last night just to get home. As I was about to leave for work at 7:30AM it wouldn’t start up, we had to do a jump start again, and I had to take it to the closest auto shop that was open as I had to get to work by 8AM and the other shops open at 9AM. So I drove to this shop, and found friendly people! They told me that they will take a look at it. They offered me a ride to work, and they picked me up to pick my car up. Which I really appreciate! I didn’t have to spend money on an uber/Lyft to go to work. The place was clean, people were friendly, and they attended to my needs.

Took my car in which I stated I thought it might be rack and pinion problem. At first they wanted to charge me to get estimate . I asked them several times if I would be charged for estimate . I was told probably, but were not sure. Eventually I was not charged . After an hour they came back with an estimate of 852.00 dollars to fix rack and pinion. I decided to go to a mechanic my brotherin law suggested. Super nice guy and very upfront with me. Took me 3 weeks to get car in, but well worth it. It was not rack and pinion, it was weak power steering pump. Total bill was 200.00 dollars. Works great! This guy is my mechanic for life! Its hard to find honest mechanics but I finally found one.

T&A has been my trusted go-to auto service since I was in college over 20 years ago, and now my husband and parents come here as well! Its a locally-owned, independent business with knowledgeable long-term employees who greet us by name and remember to ask how our road trips went. The service departments scheduling is so well-organized that they often get things done while-we-wait (theyve got great magazine variety, and a cheap soda machine). We tend to drive our vehicles over 200,000 miles, and the T&A folks really help us keep the cars going on a musicians budget, without compromising safety, like when theyve tracked down one or two equally-used matching tires so that we wouldnt have to replace the whole set. Weve also found some great gifts for family and friends in their auto care and accessories areas (Marvin the Martian mudflaps for my brother-in-law)!

This place was wonderful i had a Thursday appt but asked if i could drop off wed afternoon,2:30 because of work hours was surprised when they not only had time to look at it but also fixed it and i was able to pick it up same day. Very polite

The technician wouldnt provide us any type of cost to replace a specific part and was adamite that we had to bring it in to get a cost. All other repair shops would provide at least an estimate. The customer service could be improved.

The service from the T&A staff was wonderful from beginning to end. My family and I were traveling out west when our rear air conditioner broke and i called in destress. Marc and Kyle took really good care of not only our vehicle but also our family. Vet impressed with the. customer service-oriented focus and technical skills of T&A, particularly when it come to air-conditioning knowledge!

T & A is as good as it gets. I drove into town from way out-of-state with a newly installed A/C system that was turning into solid ice in and out of the truck. The staff at T & A made time for me and gave me an honest fair quote for finding the problem. They did find a hidden electrical issue, which was not easily seen. Only an experienced skill A/C person would know where to look. While the work was being done, they drove us back and forth to our motel and then to lunch. The A/C works better than ever now. Dont worry. These are honest people. Take your car to them.

Called in looking for a remote starter for my suburban. Scheduled an apt and was able to drop my car off and get a ride from them to work. A couple hrs later my car was done and was given a walk through on how to get the system to work. It works great and I found the price to be super competitive.

We were headed on a cross country road trip when we stopped in a BP and accidentally filled up the truck with diesel (FYI at BP green is regular and black is diesel - do not make my mistake). We eventually got towed and chose T&A after asking around quite a bit. Once in, which was around 4:30pm, we were treated with honesty, understanding and kindness, truly cherished aspects at an auto shop, especially after making this gas mistake. They squeezed us in, gave us coffee and we waited for words of future work and unbelievable expenses. Instead we were told a great price and got on the road at 6pm! These folks are AMAZING. They went out of their way to help us and I would recommend them to travelers and locals alike.They did not recommend any work that didn’t need to be done. They greeted us with smiles and good energy. Welcomed us to the couch, WiFi and everyone there seemed to greet us.THANK YOU!

I got my serpentine belts replaced about a month ago. They started squeaking about 2 weeks later due to the breaking in period. I called Darryl and told him whats up and he got me an appointment first thing the next day. Dropped my car off then got a call that my car was ready.... no charge and they tightened my belts. My experience with this company has been great. I highly recommend them for their workmanship, honesty, and availability. Thanks T&A for a good experience!!!

I strongly advise against doing business with T&A Auto Service. We brought our truck in to get our AC fixed and a mechanic backed it into a pole. They wrote a statement on our receipt saying we would fix it and they would pay for all damages. We were very understanding that accidents happen and kept it off their insurance. We got an estimate from a family member who has done auto body for 30+ years to fix it for $1,200. Suddenly they got defensive and acted as if we were trying to take advantage of them, because the manager had a family friend that said he would fix it for $500 after seeing only a picture of the damage. We provided them with an estimate from Vern Eide (right under $1,400) but they still refused to pay $1,200. For a week they had us run all over town getting estimates but still refused to pay the estimate we gave them for the only person we trust to fix our vehicle (which was also the cheapest). Instead they tried to force us to go to a shop that will give them a deal or one that they trade work with. They charged us full price to for our AC repair (nearly $1,000) but expected us to bend over backwards to get our vehicle fixed at the cheapest possible price for them. They payed no regard to the fact that we spent hours going back and forth to their shop and getting estimates due to their mistake, and it is our vehicle so we have the right to get it repaired at the shop of our choice. We ended up needing to go down to their shop for the 3rd time with a police officer to file an insurance claim and go that route. The owner then took almost a week to call his insurance company so the claim couldnt be filed right away. Beyond disappointed in the way they do business. I feel the manager wasnt at fault and in the end he apologized for the matter. Our AC has worked well so far, so Im not speaking negatively of their repairs. The owners unfortunately dont care about their customers and will do anything to try to save a buck. If an employee does any damage to your vehicle you will be in for a nightmare.

SCAMMERS.Came here to fix my cars key fab. They proceeded to tell me it was broken and had to order a new one for $120 + reprogramming. I could not afford that so I told them I would do it another day. They had my car in the back for way to long after I got this news. After I waited a half an hour for them to check my cars mechanics I left thinking something was wrong. Tried my key fab and it worked just fine. Took my car to my normal mechanic today because of the bad feeling I had in my gut and found out that I have an axel going out on it. Looked freshly messed with (grease smeared) he said. Very disappointed that you guys would try to rip off a young girl like myself...now I have to pay $200 to fix it.
