We are very happy with Sharps so far. We are new to owning a home and caring for a lawn, so we hired them for fertilizing and weed control for the whole season. They have done a couple of applications so far. The yard looks great and is growing like crazy. Not a single dandelion in sight. I am also happy that it includes an application to control chiggers.

Great lawn service

This is my first year using them. So far everything has been excellent.

I was looking for a company to match the curbing we had gotten a couple years ago around our house, we wanted a matching curb around our rock garden. The arrangement started out well, and we were going to take out the sod, but because the sod cutter we rented didnt cut we made a last minute change to have Sharp lawn care also cut out the sod as well as installing the curbing. I was told it would be an hourly rate per worker, and I agreed to that. The whole day was a cluster of disorganization. The crew was suppose to come in the afternoon they arrived first thing in the morning. They didnt have the stamp that was needed so one person had to go back to Sioux City (from Le Mars) to get that from UPS. They did not bring a sod cutter. We offered to rent one from Orange City, they stated no they would get one from the company they usually used in Sioux City; it was not available. They used the trencher (6 to 8 inches wide) that they used for the curbing. It did an ok job, but did not cut clear down, and left all the grass roots. When we got the bill it was way too high. I called to try to present my objection to the bill I thought was out of line. No consideration for every point I made. A total disappointment will never utilize their services again, and will try to dissuade everyone I know from using their company. If you do use this company, DO NOT AGREE TO ANY SERVICE UNDER THE HOURLY RATE, THEY WILL SUCK YOU FOR ALL THEY CAN!!!!
