Just moved from another state and went to try this salon. I had the chance to find a treasure, and her name is Mel (Melanie). She is a kind, professional, and talented hairdresser. She did a great job. Im so happy I found her. Thank you Mel!

I HAD MY HAIR DYED GOLDEN BLONDE AND SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB! MY SISTER IN LAW HAS BEEN THERE TO.SHE HAD HER HAIR DONE AND THEY DID AN OKAY JOB.

I made an appointment yesterday and when I got there the the sign said they were at lunch and will be back at 6:30 however nobody came back so I canceled that appointment and change it for the next available appointment on their website which is at 10:15 the next day. when I got there I waited for 12 minutes before anybody even greeted me and when they finally did they said I’m sorry we don’t have any appointments available. We told the others that booked on the web to come back. The store really needs to get more organized. the only reason I was attempting to go there was because it was closer to my house in my normal salon but needless to say I will never be back

So grateful for the wonderful staff at this salon. Not only has their sanitation and mask wearing procedures been phenomenal through this whole ordeal, but they always go the extra mile to make my grandmother(who has alzheimers) feel safe and at home everytime we enter their facility. Great Clips wont do that! Thank you guys so much!!

Despite the negative reviews I decided to give this a try for a simple split end trim, I scheduled an appointment with the lady over the phone for 10 am . I arrived to an empty shop with a sign on the door stating that they will open at 1 pm ... A simple text could have informed me if something had come upsoo in my opinion that was highly unprofessional and showed lack of care towards customers . In the future, no matter how much of a hurry I am in I will stick to going based off of other reviews .

I went in this evening for overall color and some lowlights . Cori was extremely helpful, polite, and explained the process! She also suggested products to keep up the new look. The staff was kind and respectful. I highly recommend visiting Cori if you want a wonderful experience. Ill definitely be back! Thank you!😁

Saturday, January 23, 2021. Height of pandemic, no masks being worn by staff . Very irresponsible and upsetting.

Had the 1st appointment in the morning. Yet it took 1 hour for my daughter to get shampoo & cut. Didnt even blow dry or style. Other people were put before us. Whats the point of having an appointment. Id understand if we had a later appointment and they were running behind, but we were the 1st aappointment in their book that morning.

My hairdresser was kind and did a really good job with the haircut that I went in for. Will visit there again.

I showed up an hour before they closed. No customers were waiting and no one was getting their hair cut. The women stated she wasnt cutting anymore hair today and was cleaning up. Told me to come back tomorrow. Must be nice to be open for an hour more and refuse customers. Open sign was on too.

Asked for a simple blunt cut just above my shoulders. did a perfect length on one side but got the other one too short and now my hair is just below my ears from having to make both sides even. not happy won’t be going back.

I have came here several times, and I will say that since the management has changed I have had wonderful experiences. The team in the salon seem to have a great skill set and are extremely nice and friendly. There is no awkward silence, just conversations and laughter. Melody is an excellent stylist!

I wanted to talk to a lady there about getting my hair done because she’s cut my hair a long time ago. she told me to contact her about when ever i need my hair done again. but don’t i call was waiting to talk to the lady i wanted to talk too (don’t want to call anyone out for rude behavior) but not even 30 seconds later i hear “is she still on the phone” then i hear a big sigh (in a rude way) then they hang up on me. definitely won’t be going there anytime when i need to get my hair down.

April is fantastic. I have natural curly hair and was looking for someone in the area to cut mine without making a mess of it. April did.. . Thank the Lord!

Love, love, LOVE Famous Hair in Simpsonville! I have been using this salon for ten years. I am very spontaneous and rarely make an appointment (just walk in) yet the staff does everything they can to accommodate me. I like changing my look often and they are great at interpreting and executing my new do. Long, short, coloring, high-lights, root touch-up...they have done it all for me! Melody is my regular stylist and she is awesome! However, if she were not available, I would not hesitate to use another stylist there. I also love the atmosphere where I can let my hair down (pun intended) and have friendly conversations that are always sprinkled with lots of laughter!

Melody is an amazing hairstylist she is the hairstylist for our whole family, we will see none else. She is the best, you will leave with a smile on your face and be prepared for the compliments you will get on your hair!!

Not kid friendly. Asked for a patient person. Lady said thats not me. She sent me off with the supposed manager. My son doesnt like haircuts. Thats why I asked for someone patient. After she rolled her eyes numerous times and huffed and puffed with an attitude. I already felt embarrassed due to my sons not liking hair cuts. She definitely made me feel worse. I finally requested a full buzz cut :( I initially asked for a comb over... disgusted and humiliated. Dont take your precious children here....

Worst haircut I have EVER had. I went in and asked for a TRIM and specifically said I wear my hair in a pony tail and a bun often, and that I wanted to keep my length. Simply wanted to trim up the dead ends. I wound up walking out with half my hair gone. It is so uneven and choppy and I absolutely hate it. I firmly believe my child could have given me a better trim turned haircut and I am so disappointed. A month later and I am upset every day over this!

I can honestly say that I got the worst professional haircut I have ever had in my life. I have been to the famous hair salon a few times before and gotten really great haircuts, however, the staff has changed and I think the girl who cut my hair must be a new beautician. I had a picture of the haircut I wanted, but the haircut I got was not at all like the picture. My bangs are so short they stick straight out the rest of my hair is just blunted off in a square type kind of bob! I look like a page boy! My bangs are shorter on the right side, and in the back the right side is longer than the left! My hair looks terrible! It really looks like a self done haircut. Honestly, I could have given myself a better haircut then this at home and I am not a beautician. Also, the salon isnt very clean, they should call it Infamous Hair!! People I work with asked me if I had cut my hair myself, thats how bad it looks!

Worse haircut of my daughters life!!! I showed 2 pictures, was very specific on how I wanted to be done and how short i wanted, very simple straight all around . Aimee started cutting without even getting the hair wet. She chopped her outside layer so bad that is unfixable, i never asked for layers, it looks Horrible!!! I will be posting pictures!She ruined her hair. She had long hair so she had plenty of hair to work with!I cant even hide the mess she made on the back and sides. I am extremely disappointed!!!*******************************************

Cut my hair shorter in back than on sides. Left it long on top .More interested in laughing with the other employees than cutting hair ..wont ever go back. Did not cut my hair at all like I asked for. I look terrible.

I’m so upset with this place. My husband took our son to get his hair cut here while me and my daughter went next door to get our nails done. When we were done my son and husband were already in the car. He was sleeping so I didn’t really think to check his hair I never had to before. We get home I get my son out and I was in utter disbaleaf. My sons hair looked like someone just chopped his hair while blindfolded. I’ve never out of all the places I’ve taken my son had such a horrible job done on his hair. It’s uneven, some parts or long some are short and some are almost bald to the skin in the back of his head. I could really just cry. I called and they said they would fix it. I decide to not even take him back because next thing I know they’d mess it up more and he’d be bald. They shouldn’t have done this in the first place. I do not write reviews but please trust me I do not want anyone else to ever have to go through this. This place should not even be in business.

I walked in on Sunday afternoon and got in right away. I was pleased with my hair cut and color .

I called and asked if they did bayalages here. They said yes so i had it done. However, the lady who did not did not brush it on instead she just used foils. When it was finished it looked horrible because it was dark on the top with contrasting light blonde (not toned on the bottom) and not ombre and gradual like a bayalage should be. The lady rushed and seemed like she did not care at all during application or when she was pulling pieces of hair to color. Worst service i have gotten from any salon ever! I could have done better at home with a boxed kit than pay 85 dollars for that!
