Anyone thinking about using this business just take a look at the owners responses to the negative reviews of the service he provides. His responses to customer reviews reflect no accountability, excuses, personal attacks on the customer, and an expectation to do things on the owners time not yours. This was my experience with him as well. After reading his responses to his customers complaints one has to wonder where the ratings are from his supposed client base that stretches across the Southwest? Only 17 reviews since he has been in business with a client base that stretches across the Southwest? If he does have that huge of a client base, and he does such excellent work as he claims, where are their reviews?Use your own judgment and do read the reviews and his responses to them before you leave your computer at this business.Other peoples most recent reviews will prevent you from learning the hard way that this place is a two man show with horrible customer service. Too bad there is not a zero rating on here.

Customers needing a reliable computer service beware of this business and its owner. Talks a good game but in the end you will get horrible service, unreliable customer communications and rude treatment from him. I wish that I would have read the reviews that were not from his friends giving him stellar reviews. What I received in terms of a service is what everyone that gave this business a 1 rating stated about it. If I could give a zero as a review I would. It was the worst customer service and treatment by a business owner that I have ever received.

My experience with Nick was nothing short of frustrating. What I was told would be an easy fix for my computer with a one week turnaround time turned into him having my computer over a month and returning it to me in the same condition as when I took it in to be repaired.Over the course of a month what I received from him was a litany of excuses and personal problems he had that prevented him from servicing my computer. After 3 weeks of having my computer for what he said would be a week turnaround we had the following text exchange.NICK Fan arrived Saturday. Replacing part tomorrow afternoon, will see if any more needs doing. Same as always, no ETA, you can pick up laptop as-is anytime, just let me know whenThis text came after I asked him for a finish date for my computer and a price for the computer part.He basically put me in a situation where if I didnt do things on his terms he wouldnt repair my computer and threatened to give it back to me as is if I didnt comply. I asked for an update and got the text below from himYour logic board has necessitated repair in two locations, and I’m now going to a third. There is a cascade of electrical component failures that I am having to address while maintaining the systems a huge chunk of our community runs on. I’m stretched thin. When I first received the system it failed to boot half the time. That has been resolved. If you are needing a reliable computer, replace it. If you need this computer, it will take more time, and I cannot accurately judge how much. Heat patch is cleared from the fan replacement, CPU is still throttling down, next step I’d take would be to hit the board up with the camera and multimeter Tuesday morning and find the next spot.I then asked him how much all that he mentioned was going to cost and got this response from him.As I’ve stated many times, I won’t do any work that would need to be charged without your approval. I don’t do that kind of business. Since your system would not even boot to the desktop when you came in, the entire motherboard was covered in tar, you had liquid stains in multiple places by the air intake, and the system now boots consistently, it is far better than when you brought it to me. I keep documented evidence of my work and will not have it criticized. I am currently out of pocket in both time and parts to help you with this computer, and I am not being met graciously for my effort. Please make time tomorrow, at noon, to pick it up. As per my last text message, my final recommendation is to replace the computer as part and time cost exceeds what I have available.I would be happy to buy back the new power cord if you no longer need it, but my time will remain accounted for in attempt.Again he puts me as a customer in a situation where when I ask him a question and he doesnt like it he tells me to forget him fixing it and just come and pick it up instead. My response to him was Sorry Nick if I insulted you in any way. I was simply trying to communicate with you as you had said you would scrub the board and the fan was not included in that conversation. I asked you how much it was going to be because of that and then I didnt hear back from you, hence my inquiry this morning. I do appreciate all you do and have done and again my apologies if you misinterpreted my questions as a lack of appreciation. I cant pick it up tomorrow. What are some other days and times I can pick it up?NICK Today is back to back, I’m at a recently deceased estate helping get legal and financial taken care of.When I asked again for a pick up day and time for my unrepaired computer that I already had paid him for he respondedApologies to not be able to communicate, even with a new administrative assistant we’re still parsing over 90 calls this week. I will call to schedule as soon as I can get a minute in front of my calendar and my attention isn’t split with an appointment.I finally picked up my computer a month later with it in the same condition it was in when I brought it into him.

Nick is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything computer-related. He not only compiled and installed a program Id been struggling to run (the reason I came), but he also provided me with ample resources to learn how to use terminal/Unix so that in the future I could do similar things on my own. The hard drive he replaced my old one with runs very well and is making this computer-oriented research semester vastly easier!

One star because the system wont allow zero. Mr. Prince may be a savant at fixing computers; he is one of the absolute worst businessmen I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Disappeared without notice for so long (almost two weeks--the first time) that I had to call the police to check up on him. Returned fewer than 20% of my calls. Had numerous ways available to contact me with information and status about my repair and ignored them all.I have two words of advice for Mr. Prince: Manage Expectations. When you run a business and accept products for repair, your customers expect that youll be available and communicative. If youre not able to meet that standard, let people know before they leave their equipment with you. If youre dealing with a device thats newer than what youre familiar with, say, Sorry, but this item is so new that I may not be able to get parts--perhaps you should send it to an authorized repair center.
