I called several times and emailed 2 twice, asking for someone to contact me about my lab results and to schedule me for a procedure and got no response. The receptionist was very rude acting like it was not her responsibility to have calls returned, and telling me they were very busy. She talked very down to me as well. I contacted Dr. Vanderloos by email and also received no response. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone they are very unprofessional. I even left a message for the Lady who does procedure at the Medi Spa and go no response either. I was prepared to spend $3,000 on the procedure, but I guess they dont care about customer service. Look elsewhere.

I needed to see Dr vanderloos because she did an unnecessary C-section with my son. Now I having issues years after the situation and wanted her to tell me what the problem is. The secretary is EXTREMELY RUDE and continuously cut you off when speaking PLUS hangs up in your face. If this is the first person you encounter upon calling are visiting the office I wouldnt recommend this Dr office to a dog. Her customer skills are HORRIBLE. She NEEDS TO BE FIRED SHE MAKES THE DR LOOK EXTREMELY BAD BEFORE EVEN MEETING HER

I have been going to Dr. Vanderloos for years, but my last visit will apparently haunt me for a while. The lack of office organization has caused so much stress and unneeded anxiety.Nov 2019: Something happened and they misfiled my insurance, which should have covered the visit in full like it does each year. They assured me that it would be ok when I asked about it. Then I missed a call from them months later (on my birthday, June 2020) about an unpaid invoice; I tried to message them about it on their Athena Portal to understand how I could owe anything. They never responded and instead sent me straight to collections, which I found out from the collections notice.I called and was screamed at by the receptionist because my husband and I were on speaker phone and she was uncomfortable with that. She hung up and we called back. I worked with Katie to pay the Invoice and to be removed from collections. But apparently I was not removed from collections, even though I sent them the money.February 2021: I am now dealing with a derogatory mark on my credit (attached photo). These can last seven years, which is going to affect any new mortgages, car loans, or credit cards. Tried messaging them about this when I saw the hit on my credit, but no one responds. I have reached out to the collections company at this point.I would have paid the invoice November 2019 to prevent this trouble and then dealt with the insurance company myself. The money was not the issue, it was communication. Just tell me what is happening, not that I am ok then throw me under the bus. I have clients as well and I have always worked with them on payments and invoices. I cant imagine being so heartless as to send a client to collections when they are trying to actively work with me to solve the issue. Or keeping the client in collections after payment.

I really like Dr. Vanderloos and her staff, however today I ended up being seen almost 1.5 hours after my appointment was scheduled. I could hear consistent movement/laughter and conversation right outside of my door however nobody came to say well be right with you or sorry this is taking so long. It took a whole hour for someone to come in just for the initial conversation. Again, Dr. V is awesome. She has a good spirit and bedside manner-- but I think that the office could improve on time management/efficiency in terms of patient wait time/appointment scheduling.

Dr. Vanderloos has been my gynecologist for a year, & she is excellent! From the smiles upon entrance into the office to her hugs prior to departure, Im so pleased with my treatment. Her online system for questions/lab results/scheduling is awesome. I love that I dont have to always pick up the phone to call if I need something - I can go online, leave my question or request & a member of the office staff responds quickly. Im so grateful to have found a Doctor who sincerely wants to know my needs & how Im doing, in addition to providing quality medical care. I highly recommend Dr. Vanderloos!!!

Dr V. has been my doctor for more than 23 years. I trust her as a physician and I have developed a personal bond with her over the years. Dr V. connects with you on a deeper level than just doctor / patient, she knows my children and remembers what they are doing in their personal lives, and I know hers. To have that type of relationship with my physician is priceless and rare. The staff is always kind and helpful. I was about 15 minutes late for my last appointment, a couple of days ago, and i was still greeted with a friendly smile, i apologize for my tardiness and that was that. I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience in Dr V. office or on the phone, and that is amazing !!!!! I love Dr Vanderloos and I believe she genuinely cares about me and for me. Dr V. and her staff are irreplaceable.

Took wife to see Dr. Catherine V. She was very kind, and understanding. She explained everything that she wanted to do and why. She gave us time to ask questions and answered them very professionally. My wife would say this doctor maybe far away from us, but will continue to see her regardless. Staff were very professional as well.

I came in 2018. The doctor seemed nice but after the initial appointment I was having trouble with the insurance paying for my IUD. After that appointment, it seemed like I was inconveniencing them. She sent me a message on her portal to cancel my appointment for another patient. At that point I was wanting the IUD implanted before the insurance made the a decision on the final appeal. I just kind of gave up on this office. Eventually after 8 months, the insurance finally covered it. As far as I know, the office still has my IUD. FYI, the medical device company charged me directly so the office didnt deal with any of the insurance for the IUD. All they offered in the office directly was the mirena IUD.

I have never felt more comfortable with a doctor! Dr. Vanderloos and her girls make the office visit a pleasant experience. It is very easy to be open and talk to them about whats going on with you- not only does Dr. V give you this feeling, her nurses do too and for someone on the shy side and who is full of questions like myself, this makes talking so easy. I couldnt ask for better❤️

I was in search of a gynecologist and saw wonderful reviews for Dr. Vanderloos everywhere, so I made an appointment. Several visits later, I can honestly say Ive never met the attentive, caring Dr. Vanderloos that the other reviewers seem to be seeing on a regular basis. Im not sure she exists, and if she does, then surely the doctor I saw was a pod-person. If you dont want to read a long review, skip to the bottom. Ive made bullet points of the highlights. It took 1.5 hours past my appointment time each visit to get back into an exam room to be seen by the doctor. However, several women walked into the office well after me and were called back almost instantly, even though Id already been waiting long enough for Y3K to happen. From chatting with them in the waiting room, I learned that theyd been going to her for years. It seems as though she gives heavily preferential treatment to her already-established patients.Once I made it back to an exam room, I waited some more, all while hearing the doctor chat merrily with one of her long-time patients in the hallway, and the doctor eventually came in. Dr. Vanderloos herself is cold, apathetic, and treated me as though I was an utter waste of her time. Ive gotten more affectionate looks from spiders about to meet their end via the bottom of my shoe. For a routine pap exam she made small talk (in quotes, because she actually just talked loudly over my answers to the questions she had just asked me), completed the exam faster than I knew was humanly possible, and certainly did not ask if I had any questions or concerns. She rushed out the door so quickly I had no opening to ask anyway.Follow-up appointments have been no better. In fact, theyve been absolutely worse. Vanderloos was visibly impatient every time and clearly wanted to leave as soon as possible even though the collective time I saw the doctor between all of my appointments was probably less than ten minutes. There are too many great doctors out there to waste your time going to this office of soulless mannequins pretending to be professional medical staff. I will absolutely not return to this doctors office. Any other gynecologist in Shreveport will treat you with more professional courtesy and respect than Dr. Vanderloos.Bullet points:-Minimum 1.5 hour wait past your appointment time for every visit with no explanation given-Doctor has terrible bedside manner and attitude-Doctor does not care about you unless you have been her patient for years already-You will leave dissatisfied and without being helped-Dont waste your time

The entire staff was very nice and took the time to go over all information with me. The environment is very welcoming.Ive been to several OBGYNs and usually feel very uncomfortable. I have PCOS & will probably never have children so it was very nice to go to a ladies doctor that didnt have all the walls plastered with baby pictures. I felt like I was important, not just my ability or inability to procreate.

I really like Dr Vanderloos and she does have a great bedside manner. The office staff are indeed delightful. However, this review is for my total abdominal hysterectomy I had several years ago. I moved away from the area so I never saw her after my checkup but I wouldn’t go back to her if I was still close. The reason is I feel that she encouraged me to have the surgery and looking back I wish that she had tried to help me wait it out a little longer. I didn’t have any tumors nor endometriosis, only continual bleeding. Which can be daunting and scary, yes... I agreed to the total because she told me that ovary cancer is the hardest to predict and I was at the age where mine were “dead” anyway. No, she didn’t coerce me and yes, I willingly signed the paperwork because I was done with the emotional rollercoaster. However, this is not a good time to make these kinds of serious decisions. Have a second opinion, please!!!After my surgery, I went to the emergency room with severe pain on my incision site. I felt for sure something had broken loose, but the Dr at the hospital and the attending nurses made me feel like I just wanted drugs. They gave me a strong shot of Demerol which didn’t touch the pain I had. I finally was half carried out by my husband when I was told nothing more needed to be done, there was no apparent infection, no stitches pulled loose (although how they could tell is beyond me because there was no ultrasound performed or anything of that nature), and they didn’t even offer a wheelchair to get me to my car. I realize the hospitals actions aren’t Dr Vanderloos, but I later found out that the extreme pain was a result of 2 things: the previous ceaserean incision scar tissue and the retractor that was used during my surgery. Some nerve had been affected causing extreme pain. I have a very high tolerance for pain, so when I say excruciating pain, I mean dire, to the core, raw pain. I had had 3 c-sections and each subsequent surgery, the ob/gyn had removed the scar tissue and sewed a new incision on fresh skin. This area which is very tough scar tissue from 20 years prior, had been butchered across and back jagged manner. It was a mess and still is. I didn’t think to ask beforehand because I assumed that it would be done as before, with the scar tissue totally removed. I asked her at my follow up appointment and she acted like I was nuts for even thinking it would be done that way, as if she’d never heard of it.The retractor pain affected my abdominal -groin area for years after. I feel that she could have spared me this if she would have made a clean scar and did the surgery in a cleaner manner. I wish I could see a video of the actual surgery because it seemed like I was just hurriedly butchered. She prescribed me hormones but I was ballistic on them and after several attempts to regulate them (take a half, take a whole, take a half for 3 days etc etc) I just went off of them completely. I am not exaggerating in the least when I tell you that it took me a good 2-3 years to come back to myself after the surgery. I feel that Dr Vanderloos could have prepared me for this quite a bit more than she did and I feel like I was rushed into it. Also when I asked her about sex after, she said she had had one person complain of lack of libido but (her words were) “she probably didn’t have very much to start with!” I lost every bit and it caused me emotional distress. My review is long and detailed, but I encourage all of you to please get a second & maybe third opinion, hang in there for as long as you can if your bleeding had no apparent cancerous or tumor/endometriosis causes, and check with a Dr who can get your hormone levels where they need to be so you won’t go through the terrible, drastic changes that I did. I did not know until several years later that there are doctors who will test your hormones presurgery, and then slowly get them back with hormone therapy to as close to the same levels after surgery. Do your homework!!! Please! Spare yourself pain and heartache.
