6/24/2019 - The Sears Technician, Micheal, claimed he removed these two pieces of paper from the fan housing of my GE side-by-side refrigerator. He claimed they were preventing the fan from turning, which caused the refrigerator to over heat and stop. He wanted to charge me the labor cost for the repair and replacement of the fan motor, which he did not repair or replace. I refused. He indicated I was still responsible for the diagnostic cost. I reluctantly agreed. After he left, I reached out to Michatech Appliance Repair of Shreveport. The technician, Mike, showed up and and explained that the fan was not turning/working at all because the motherboard had failed. He explained it could have happen during the recent serve storms that included lighting. Anyway, in less than 30 minutes the repair was made and the refrigerator was in proper working condition . The following morning the temperatures were 0 and 37 respectively. I have subsequently contacted Sears requesting a complete refund of the $109 diagnostic fee. The technician employed by Sears was incompetent & untrustworthy. Moreover, his attempt to charge me for work he did not perform is an example of why people elect to purchase a new appliance rather than being fleeced and taken advantage of.Update: Tiffany M. As far as the repair service goes, they came when they said they would and fixed what was wrong with the refrigerator. However, if anyone from Sears, Inc. happens to reads this, please know how dissatisfied I have been with the entire process of trying to get my refrigerator fixed. My initial request for service was on July 15, 2020, yes 4+ months ago and my refrigerator is just now fixed. This process was so terrible that I ended up having to buy a new refrigerator just to have one because Sears couldnt get their act together. If I had know how terrible the service was, I would have never purchased a protection plan and saved my $535. If Sears had any customer service at all they would have either refunded my protection plan purchase or bought me a new refrigerator as a way of saying sorry for taking forever long to fix my current refrigerator. I will never purchase anything from Sears ever again
This mower has to be worked on every time we start it. The repairman is always nice, courteous and helpful while getting the thing running again
Both servicemen were kind, courteous and very knowledgeable about the appliances they were working on.
Hi,My service experience was great. The serviceman was polite, thorough in his work and took care of it in no time, at all. He explained about the fire extinguishers that he had in his truck that were for sale, and Im thinking of going to Sears and picking up one. My repairman, Jerry, was great. He was so polite and gave me a lot of useful information to take better care of my dishwasher. He called me twice before arriving, once to say that the system wasnt working properly so he would call prior to arrival rather than receiving a text. He also told me about the house warranty plan which I purchased.
Sears repairman called before coming and was pretty much on time. He assessed what was needed for repair, ordered the parts, which would be sent to my home, and we scheduled a time for him to come back when it would be convenient for me. The parts arrived and I received notification of the appointment coming up for installation of parts. I heard from the repairman again when he was about ready to come to the house. Installation did not take long and as far as I can tell, everything is working great. No problems. Repairman was courteous and prompt.
The Technician was very knowledgeable of the product. He was on time and very courteous. He explained the proper use of the machine and how to prevent future issues. He was efficient and quick!!!! I would use him again and highly recommend him.
James was on time ( called before he came), got right to work, and fixed the refrigerator so it works like new. He had all of the required parts on his truck. Sears had predicted the cost which was in line with what I expected. He was good at his job, gave me excellent advice on how to keep my appliance working well. I will use this service again and recommend it to friends.

I had a test ran on my garage openers I needed a logic board replaced I didnt know I had to wait 2 weeks after the 4th of Oct part didnt come until 18th tech came back on the 24th installed the hm board next day garage went up every 45min to and hour thank God for good people I called Sears they were rude I had to call a garage expert they were kind enough to come out today on Sunday to fix the problem Sears Im disappointed when I said good people Im talking about my neighbors who watched out for my house
Technician was knowledgeable, courteous and made repairs speedily. He also made usable suggestions on how to prevent additional problems in the future. All in all a professional job well done.

Terrible experience. I paid for Sears to repair my kenmore pro dishwasher. They came, tinkered around with it, started a wash cycle, said they fixed the problem and left. So, after the cycle finished, I loaded up my dishwasher and tried to run a cycle and it broke again. They did not fix the problem. I called to have them come back and they told me that it would be no charge (DUH!!) but that the soonest they could get back out would be a week! ONE WEEK!! They already had my money, didnt repair the problem, and I still had to wait a week to have a MAJOR APPLIANCE repaired. Will never buy from or use Sears service again!!

Horrible customer service
The man who came out was great.he put the parts in but for some reason it want rinse and spin.i have to put the washer on the spin cycle for it to do that.i cant afford to pay any more to have it fixed correctly at this time so Im stuck having to do that .it does do it right every now and then.
The serviceman was cordial and helpful--efficient.However, as he attributed the problem, in part, to a lack of proper clearning...and we do accept that as an accurate assessment for which we were not totally aware about the proper cleaning of the rubber casings where the doors meet.... we are still left with the doors not closing
Huge rip off! I told them making my appointment that the switch on my front loaders was broken and they said we will send someone out! I said I can get it to work but I dont want to spend a ton of money fixing it if thats what it will be. She said oh we will send a technician to asses- after his 90 dollar visit to tell me the switch was broke ( obviously I called to say that) said it will be 7-800 dollars to fix! I told them upfront I didnt want to spend a ton of so not bother then stuck me with a close to 100 dollar bill! Rip offffffffff
Good Service, but quite pricey!
The repair man had a air of confidence and went straight to his work. He arrived in side the time I was told he would. Repairing the mower did not take long and was not only done quickly but he fixed a related problem that would have caused trouble later on.
Your representative arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and completed the repair in a short period of time. he was very personable and polite.
The repairman was prompt and very knowledgeable. He got right to the problem and repaired it. He explained what he was doing and what had caused my problem. I couldnt have been more pleased with the service.
Tech arrived as scheduled after communicating well prior to appointment. He showed up, analyzed the situation, remedied the situation and showed me how to avoid recurrences. Its working well now so kudos for this visit.

Sears has the worst service ever and do not adaot to customers. I would not even give them 1 star. They suck. Service guy came out and charged but atill not fix. They kept giving me anither service date on days not available and over another week out. 8 to 5 and no weekends. Like people dont have jobs. I accommodated to their tines Monday. I should not have to do that again but no luck. Never use Sears again. Totally suck and not worth the stress or my time. So on the edge right now.
I had an appointment for today between 8-12:00. Its 2:00 and I still havent heard from them. I called the customer service line at 12 and was told they would send an email to the local provider and I would get a call immediately. Still havent heard from them. Very frustrating to take a day off from work and not be able get the work done.
Good repair work for the right price, but very slow. It took two trips over almost two months to get the job done.

We are disappointed in the time element of this entire dryer repair. Called them on February 2nd and they wanted to schedule for March 4th - think of that, a whole month on a warranty repair that we had paid for years ago. They did gratefully work us in for February 19th. The repairman that came to the house was ABSOLUTELY GREAT - fortunate for us he had the parts (heater coil & fuse) needed on his work van because the repair center or whatever its called (they didnt call until the 16th to evaluate possible parts needed) failed to get the anticipated parts to us on time so if he had not had spares we would still be waiting. The anticipated parts showed up three days after the repairman plus what actually had to be replaced was not among the shipped parts. What can we say but thanks repairman for coming through for us! It would seem to us that appliances and warranties are being sold without adequate repairmen to make timely repairs!
Had 7 appliances checked in one day by one technician. He was on time, very thorough and polite.
Got service almost 25 days earlier than scheduled. Quick analysis of problem (jammed valve on ice-maker). Gone within 30 minutes.
Repairman arrived on schedule, knew what to look at for the problem and got it done. Very courteous............
