My now 11 year old son attended Kumon for 2 1/2 years. I noticed a huge improvement in his reading and comprehension. The staff were always helpful and respectful to us and my son. We were included in every part of his learning while he was a part of the center. Even when he had difficult days, the staff kept their patience and had his learning as a top priority. I would recommend Kumon to anyone who has a child that struggles with reading.

We love Kumon. It is such a family atmosphere. The instructors are so kind and patient and help the kids so much. We had Mr. Mat and he was great! My 7 year oldFelt very safe with him. Ms. Lovina is so caring and she truly has the child’s best interest at heart.

Weve been a part of the Kumon-Shorewood family for several years. We started with our oldest, who is now going into high school and is an A student. Our youngest is now in Kumon and excelling far beyond what we expected. In choosing Kumon, we simply wanted to provide our kids with a solid foundation for academic excellence. Kumon has greatly developed my reading and writing skills. I remember struggling to write essays properly and I hated it. When I started Kumon everything changed. I began writing advanced essays and started to not hate it as much. Ive always been strong in math, but Kumon taught me quicker and more efficient techniques which made math classes easier. As a Kumon assistant I can share my experiences with other students to help them better understand concepts they may not understand. Kumon is a place where students can learn without being judged or scared. I highly recommend it for all students.

Adam came into the program in the middle of his second grade year. Teacher said he was falling behind in math. It was very confusing for us as parents because he seemed to be excelling in reading and all other areas. He is also very social and a great swimmer. It was from the first meeting with Ms. Lovina that we started to understand the standard way of teaching in our school system might have been failing Him. Our son only needed to Be Taught right and be put into a well monitored system of learning. Needless to say he has flourished, and his math confidence has been restored. That is huge for children! He is in fourth grade now and doing math homework is a piece a cake (because he has already seen it and worked on it at Kumon). Yes he is ahead! Kumon has improved my reading speed, my critical thinking skills, and prepared me for all genres of literature. And despite my strength in math, Kumon has taught me many unique and efficient ways to approach difficult math problems. Kumon has also helped me outside of class. It has taught me to manage my time, get my work done, and to follow a plan. Graduating from Kumon has given me the confidence to pursue the career of my choice.

Kumon has been a wonderful experience for our son. He is having his best school year yet, and that is due to what he has learned at Kumon. Not only did it teach him the foundational reading and phonics skills that he never mastered at school, it also has given him the confidence he needs to know that he can succeed : ) I would recommend Kumon to any students, whether above or below grade level. I am grateful to the staff at Kumon in Shorewood, particularly Mrs. Lovina and her husband. Both of my children were assessed when they started. This allowed me to see where they needed help. It also gave me a better understanding of why they were struggling. Both of my children have come a long way from where they started. My daughter no longer has anxiety when test taking. She now feels confident because she understands what she is doing. They will continue the program until they graduate. If I could do this all over again, I would have definitely started them sooner. Kumon is a good investment for their future.

The Kumon Reading Program has tremendously helped my son, who was struggling to read and falling behind in school. Being a Kumon assistant has been an amazing experience. An academic skill I learned by being an assistant is increasing my vocabulary actually! Some of those DI and DII level packets have some words even I didn’t know!As for Life skills, Kumon has taught me that simply by explaining concepts to others can truly help one master those concepts. Having to explain calculus concepts allowed me to realize more about the subject my self.Overall Kumon has made me a better scholar and a better character.

My wife made the right decision in having our 10 year old son, Leonardo, go to Kumon Learning Center in Shorewood, Illinois. He needed help with mathematics and reading. He entered at level A, now he is currently at level D. For some kids, studying comes natural, but for my son it has taken a little while. He didnt want to go to Kumon since he would have homework from school and Kumon; but now we see the results. My son has noticeably improved his self esteem and confidence in math since starting KUMON. He is much more focused. Kumon is the best thing that has happened to my son. For years he struggled with math and reading and despite the efforts my husband and I took, every year seemed to get worse. Even thinking that he had a learning disability, having the school test him and create an IEP for him. That did not work either. When we met Ms. Lovina, a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. It was almost as if she knew my concerns about the IEP, what he didnt learn in school and why. Since we have started with Kumon in July/August 2018, I have seen a swift improvement in my sons confidence in school as well as his grades! Hes always so excited to come home and show me an A+ grade on a math test or recognition he received from his teacher about his great work. I am truly grateful for the staff at Kumon. Thank you!

It is the best Kumon center in Illinois and Ms Lovina Saxena excels in her job. She gives her heart and soul to all the students with proper discipline which takes the center to another level. My child has shown tremendous results academically. She loves coming here and is now excelling at her level. She is confident and is shining. I feel blessed to choose Kumon for my daughter, even her social skills have developed amazingly. The Kumon reading and math program has helped my son tremendously over this past year. Kumon helped my son, Nic, improve his grammatical and mathematical skills, which resulted in my son getting admitted into an engineering program with a scholarship. The instructors Mrs. Lovina and Mr. Alok really cared about the success of Nic. Everyone at the center worked hard to help my Nic achieve his goals. Nic was able to graduate from high school with high honors. Nic was also able to obtain AP college credits entering college. Kumon will be a great investment into your child’s education.
