I felt pressured to sign up after my first free class and gave over my credit card before realizing that in addition to the high monthly fees I would have to buy an expensive heartrate monitor. When I started getting charged for missing classes because my job requires me to be on call, I attempted to cancel. It was extremely difficult, no one would call me back, respond to my emails or texts. A couple hundred dollars down the drain and the only class I had was my free one. Very disappointed.
I love the workouts for sure, but I also LOVE the staff at the front desk. They are so kind, make you feel welcome, and already make it a point to call me by name.
This place has been so great in a countless number of ways! Through their newly implemented processes, it’s been clear that their top priority during COVID is the safety of their members and staff; and in return, our mental and physical health benefit from what this great workout and environment provides.If you’re looking to be motivated and held accountable, this is the place to be. The coaches are so welcoming, knowledgeable, motivating and supportive. Not to mention, the sense of community they have built allows you to meet so many great members and friends that begin to hold you accountable as well! What more do you need?! It’s truly been a lifesaver!

I feel welcomed, motivated and excited every time I come to class. I love that the workout is always different. The studio is clean and well equipped. I have been a member here for over three years and I will continue to stay a member! You wont regret taking an intro class here!
This is the best workout. You show up, the work out is planned out, and the coach pumps you up the whole time. Also the treadmills are pretty insane and have really low impact.

I can’t recommend OTF Shorewood, enough. While I love going to Orangetheory in general, there is something special about the Shorewood location. The staff and coaches are beyond kind and so motivating. They go out of their way to make accommodations for everyone, whether you are returning after pneumonia or have a broken toe (lol), to ensure you get an awesome workout! And somehow, even during the most difficult classes, they find a way to make it fun. Thanks, everyone! Coming to the studio is such a bright spot in each day!
Facility is safe, staff is helpful and friendly, workout was great. I pushed myself more than I do when working out independently, but without injury.

You show up, and the workout is all ready for you. The interval workouts are very effective and only as tough as you want to make them. Coach is there to help you. If you’re feeling off that day, you go a little lighter. If you’re feeling like going for it, you go for it. Coach will be there for you either way! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I love the group fitness aspect of Orange Theory! The coaches are awesome and helpful. The studio is upbeat, clean, and welcoming! This place is a life saver for me. Every staff member is kind and encouraging. The instructors are wonderful and very knowledgeable. They truly have your health in mind- there are no gimmicks like initial health assessments to tell you how much weight you need to lose in order to sell more services (Im looking at you Golds). Everything can be tailored to your specifics needs and there is no judgement.
Orangetheory is the best. The workouts are different every day and teach you how to push yourself. The coaches and staff work to keep you motivated and they build a great community. Ive been going there for three years and love it as much today as when I started. Maybe even more!
The workout is AMAZING! And definitely addicting! Everyone can go at their own pace without feeling pressured by those around you. The schedule has pre-fixed classes so that can be challenging sometimes to fit the workout into your schedule. It’s definitely worth the effort and you always leave class feeling good about what you’ve done!
I love this gym and would recommend it to anyone. Being that it is a profit making chain in our area, it would be nice to hear that the coaches and staff are being taken care. By that I mean with health benefits like insurance or bonuses that could be used to buy public insurance. I realize that not all employees are full time, however a place that promotes health should be doing just that, not only for the members, but also for the people who work hard to make it an amazing gym.(I am not an employee or personal friends with any of them. Just trying to bring to light something that should be addressed)

Fun, fast paced and effective. Ive been a member for only 3 months and I see and feel results. I can actually run an under 10 min mile now! Overall the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and attentive and the workout is explainable.
I was looking for something to shake up my mundane routine. OTF has offered exactly what I was looking for. I love knowing every workout is going to be different, challenging, and fun. The workouts are scaled for all levels, and the trainers offer informative guidance and motivation throughout the session.

This is the absolute best workout Ive ever done and best gym Ive ever belonged to! My husband and I moved to the area 7 months ago and had heard from many friends that Orange Theory was amazing. We decided to give it a try, and joined right away. We are so glad we did! 5 months later and we still absolutely love it. Not only is the workout challenging, the staff is absolutely amazing. From the staff at the front desk, to the coaches, they are a motivating community dedicated to making everyone better. 10/10 recommend OTF Shorewood!
I love Orangetheory. I think my favorite part is that cardio is worked into the entirety of the workout. So, what would usually take me hours to do in a gym by running and then lifting weights gets done in 60 minutes. Though the intensity is high, Im in and out with a solid workout for my day.
I enjoy not having to think, being told when to increase the effort ... I appreciate seeing my heart rate and the color coding which helps me know when I can push more or need to slow down ... Instructors are very friendly, professional and helpful. Staff is as helpful and friendly. Equipment is well taken care of. Place is clean. Great spot to help one achieve their fitness goals.

OTF is awesome! I have even a member for 2 years and it’s great. It’s awesome because you never do the same workout and they always push you. It’s nice because they have locations everywhere in the world, so when you travel you can still do the workout. The coaches are encouraging and the front desk staff and kind. Pricey, but such a great environment filled with people who are ready to cheer you on. Great coaches that are there to help you do your best and stop you from injuring yourself. So friendly and they always know my name when I walk in which keeps me coming back.
I’ve been going here for a year now and it has changed my life completely! I had so many gym memberships that were just big wastes of money. I would never go or if I did, I never pushed myself or wouldn’t even know where to begin! I would pass by this location almost every day and wonder about what made it different. I ended up watching a few reviews on YouTube and was interested. I called and set up my first class (which is FREE!) that day! The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. Coach Trevor showed me everything I did and walked me through what a typical class is like. I immediately loved it! Best workout ever! I used to have the lowest membership but as I became more motivated over the months, I am now an unlimited member and it is SO worth it! I go 4-5 times a week and feel great! I feel motivated to go and give it my all. This studio is great and I have been to many other OTF studios that don’t give me the same feeling of HOME that Shorewood does!

OTF has totally changed my workouts and gym experience. It’s so worth the money, more than any other gym! In just an hour you get a full body workout and burn 600+ calories. The coaches are so encouraging and the hour flies by! I love that I can go to the other locations when I’m traveling and easily book online. The only downside, the no-entry after 5 minutes has made it challenging to commit to some of the schedules due to work/traffic. This is a great fitness community.

Im hesitant to try work-out classes; I dont come from an athletic background, and I get nervous in classes where I feel like everyone is watching me. But I love Orangetheory! I find the workouts very challenging, but thats the point! The theory behind Orangetheory is motivating, and Im definitely feeling and seeing the results after going regularly for a month. The Shorewood location has great energy from all the coaches. Kristin especially takes time to correct my form on the weight floor and rowing tempo in an encouraging manner, and shes not too intense or overbearing during the overall workout. I expect Ill be coming to Orangetheory Shorewood for a long time.

I like that it is fast paced but I am working at my own level/ability. I love that we each have our own workout station with weights, bands, etc and are assigned a machine. The coach is right there when you need him/her. The hour went by really fast.

The Shorewood studio is great. Having been to several OTF studios now, I have found this one to be friendly, have really good flow in terms of lobby and studio space, and the music / coaching sound is always right on (not too loud, not too quiet). Ive really enjoyed my workouts with Trevor and Kristin. Their coaching styles are thorough and encouraging. Im excited to make this my home studio soon!

Its intense, but when I leave I feel like I really worked out my whole body. I like that we get a designated spot that is only ours for the duration of the workout. Also, the place is super clean and always smells nice :)

I cant get enough. Orange Theory pushes me to work harder than I ever have or would on my own at the gym, and I can SEE and FEEL the difference. Im stronger, I am running faster than ever before, and I feel so great knowing that I am doing something so good for my body!The workouts arent easy, but they make getting going easy, and thats HUGE. As a teacher with too much on my brain all the time, I really appreciate that everything at OTF is already planned for me and requires no mental preparation. I just go, follow directions, and always get an excellent workout.The coaches at Shorewood are great as well. Theyre encouraging, motivating, very knowledgeable, and really welcoming to new members!

You need OTF in your life. Great coaches, killer workouts and a model that keeps you and your body guessing ... in a good way. OTF, regardless of your fitness level, will kick your butt and for me, its what I needed. You probably do too - even if you dont think you do. Easy parking at this location too ... and a ton of food and coffee options are close for your post work out enjoyment.
Coming to OTF in Shorewood has been life changing. Everyone who works there is so inviting and warm and they really do make you feel like you belong.

I have been coming to OTF Shorewood since they opened which is more than a year. It’s one of the first gyms I have consistently stuck with for that long and they are great workouts but it has more to do with the people and community here. I’ve met so many wonderful people in my workout classes and the coaches and staff are great! Try it out! :)
I like the structure of the class and the variety of exercise. The instructors are upbeat and create a great environment for staying on top of your best workout.

Absolutely fun (and addictive in a good way :))I have been to OrangeTheory since the past year now and always looked forward to my class. My favorite part about classes here is that you spend atleast 30 mins doing cardio which is such an important aspect of health for keeping your heart healthy. In addition to that, they focus about 20 mins or so doing strength training with weights which is essential to build your lean muscles.The idea is to have 12 points in the Orange or red zone for you to burn calories due to EPOC for upto the next 36 hours which is great.What I also like about OTF is that they have different styles of classes as well as competitions. By styles I mean, they have strength based, endurance based as well as power based classes and by completions they have various challenges going on all the time which helps one to have a personal goal in addition to just showing up for class .. for example they had a rowing competition last year where you had to track your rowing distance for 30 days and the highest rower would win some OTF goodies.High energy workout and unique every time! Great, fun and humorous coaches keep it going every time.
Joining OTF has been the most critical part of my journey towards a healthier, happier me. I joined in October 2017 and have been going at least 3 times per week every week since. Business and personal travel are rarely at issue because I can usually find another OTF where Im headed. The workouts are never the same and are always challenging and fun - I can honestly say Ive never been bored in the 325+ classes Ive attended so far. The Coaches and desk staff are friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience so far. I’ve lost over 25 lbs in a healthy and sustainable way.

I attended a free class at the Third Ward location this past winter and was impressed by the staff and setup of the studio, especially the technology aspect of the heart monitors. Staff discussed the no hassle plans, flexibility, and camaraderie that the on-screen displays provide.Fast-forward a few months and a class at the Shorewood location could not have been more different. Memberships have a 30 day cancellation policy, essentially making you pay for two months of classes even if you only wanted one, and the heart rate monitors are an extra per class add-on. I opted to pay the ridiculous drop-in rate (for $28 I still didnt get a heart rate monitor) because everything about this experience reeked of all of the tactics that fitness centers use to make it difficult to quit and really do a disservice to the very people they claim to help.Afterwards, the gym called me and said they would waive the 30 day cancellation policy if I just wanted to do a month. A pity that this offer wasnt available from the start. I cant tell if this was a genuine offer or more bait-and-switch and I dont plan to find out.

Ok, if you go back two moths, I would have recommended this place! Staff are friendly but that IS IT. The company is nothing but a fitness center based on MONEY, no one is there to care for you health. If you are going to sign up for this place, you should know a couple of things that they may or may not tell you until you are about to cancel your membership. There is a 30 days cancellation notice, which basically means you pay a month without going to gym if you move or have other stuff in your life going on that prevents you from going to this gym. Even if you place you account on hold, there is a $15 charge per month, just because! Honestly, for people who dont know anything better in the Shorewood area such as myself when I moved from Nashville, it was okay, but will I do it again knowing what I know now, NOT AT ALL.

Classes are always full, so you have to schedule way ahead of time. 9 times out of ten, I hate the music. I really like the actual workout, but now I am going on a big vacation and I have to pay to freeze my membership. And I can’t do it online- I have to go there to sign a form. That is annoying.

Love OTF Shorewood
Im an Elite member. The trainers are warm and encouraging - they dont breathe down your neck or make you feel self-conscious but will gently correct your form when needed. Having PCOS, I struggle to lost weight and was starting to lose hope but I finally have started to see the weight come off just by making the change to go to OTF semi-regularly. I also had far more endurance on an annual hiking trip this year than I did in the past just trying to train on a self-directed basis. The facilities are clean and thanks to the variety the hour is challenging but doable, & goes by fast. When I first started I had trouble with the rented heart rate monitors not working but havent had an issue with that the past couple months. Sometimes the area on the floor at this location can feel a bit cramped but its nothing major. Highly recommend it for people who are busy that need a push to get effective work outs but dont like having their own trainer.
