I love H and R block. Jessica was my tax prep expert and just wow! She was amazing and I will be going back to her next year. They are worth every penny.

At the Shoreline office of H&R Block I am never sure if my taxes are done. There is hardly any communication from the preparer and I am left wondering if they will be done on time. I also find I have to call to find out where they are in the preparation of my taxes. An email would be good when they begin the preparation, another if they have questions, and then one when they are finished.

I filed online because I saw extensive marketing from H&R Block about filing online or dropping off my materials as opposed to going in for an office visit. I uploaded all my tax materials and there was a lack of communication and follow-through on status of my tax preparation. My associate messaged me a couple times within the next week and then went radio silent over the course of the next 3 weeks. The speed at which tax preparation was done is simply unacceptable (it took 30 days and I had to initiate a follow-up 6 times. I messaged via the Portal 4 times and called 2 times and left a message with the front desk receptionist. My call was never answered. I had to call a 3rd time and finally got through during a time when my associate was in the office.)I was not given an apology or a discount. I wont be coming back.

High prices and advertised deals that I never got, leading to quite a surprise when I checkout and my bill is 4x what it was supposed to be.

I went to this place. I had a 1099 form and two w-2. I was charged $270+ to get these 3 forms done. Then I still had to pay the IRS $415. Basically it cost me just shy of $100 a form. This upsets me cause I was going to H&R block for 2 years prior. Last year I had five W-2 and only costed me $100 and some change. IM DONE WITH H&R BLOCK. Ill never come back again. I called them and all they could do is give me 20% off of next year taxes. I will go to Jackson Hewitt next year or figure out how to do it myself. Im sure itll be much cheaper.

First time here.... Totally disappointed. They do not tell you how much you would owe them personally, until you have filed your taxes. They charged $261 for a basic married jointly filing that took under an hour.We usually use TurboTax but this year decided to go to experts. NEVER AGAIN. They confuse you from the very beginning on how much you owe to Federal and then dont tell you that you actually will owe as much to H&R block itself. We paid more than if we just did it ourselves.

We decided to think of last years visit as a fluke and give it another go this year at the Shoreline office. A mistake. Last year the process took a lot longer than it should have taken, and this year it was on track to be the same experience. Seeing that our appointed preparer was going to be the same as last year, we left to try doing our taxes ourselves.Word of advice if youre looking to not spend 2+ hours doing your taxes, get to know a preparer and make the appointment with them; dont leave it to random selection or you may be there a long while.

They have real tax experts here! If you ever need someone to help in a legal case involving tax issues they have excellent tax representatives who can help you in a tough time. Thanks!

H & R Block was able to straighten out our tax issues last year regarding foreign tax and helped us again this year with the same issue.

I went to this location for years! You are the best!

I contacted them to do my taxes, and stated I wanted to decide if I wanted to have them file my taxes or someone else, (I have had them prepped at another office but wanted to make sure something wasnt missed) They told me that they wouldnt do that if I have had them done elsewhere already, but they would be happy to review it if I had already filed.
