After moving into our home last summer we had had nothing but trouble with heat and AC. After multiple attempts to repair with other companies and many $ spent! I finally called Evergreen. I was a new customer to them and Wow they did a great job. Not only did they diagnose my problem correctly the first time, but they promptly returned with parts to make repairs. Our Service tech Todd was super professional and even took the time to explain the problem and repairs. Absolutely only using them going forward.

I used to work for this company when I lived in Portland, was an excellent company to work for. I have found in this industry employees are generally used and abused. This wasnt the case at Evergreen, employees are treated like humans and taken care of. The quality and standard of the work performed is definitely in the top 10%. Most companies will slap in new HVAC systems without any concern for Craftsmanship. This is not that company. This company cares about giving you the best information out there to help you make decisions for your home comfort needs.

Started using Evergreen last year for annual maintenance on furnace, AC and gas fireplace. The same tech visited for the 2nd year, which is nice to have that kind of continuity. The maintenance made everything run much more efficiently. We noticed an improvement in heating costs this winter, and the AC worked much better. The fireplace previously would not always kick on, but always works after service. Very pleased.

Michael was very nice and helpful. For example, I told him that I didnt know anything about my gas fireplace, that is I didnt know how to use it, He patiently showed me how to turn/off a couple times and then he let me do it myself while he was instructing me step-by-step. In addition he helped me wrote down the steps he showed me. I really appreciated his kindness and patience on helping me. Overall, I received an excellent service.

We were having trouble with the ignition switch and for Noah, it was an easy fix. What was mind blowing is that he took out every little stone and wood piece and cleaned them individually. We are a small local family owned business and did some work for them. When they saw the quality of work that we did they started referring their clients to us for air duct cleaning. The HVAC wasnt working.... they were able to get a tech out the same day (that was a surprise) and Todd showed up right on time... texted before hand so I was able to arrange my work schedule to allow me to meet him. He had the issue figured out in 15 min, and fixed in less than 60. Was super communicative and made sure I understood the issue and the fix. the cost was less than I had prepared myself for so another pleasant surprise. In our heat wave this summer, these guys showed up the next day and repaired our furnace blower vent. They came out and inspected, found the part and had it installed within 3 hours. Great service for a much needed repair in a hurry.

We converted our non-functioning gas fireplace with a beautiful electric one. We finally have ambiance and a heat source!! To say Evergreen was fantastic would be a great understatement! Then, when the day came to install, Shaun and Tannyr were unbelievable! Showed up on time. Very thorough in everything they did. Polite and helpful. Couldnt do enough to make us happy. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. They were extremely careful with our personal items and cleaned up as they went along. At the end of the day, Shaun explained how to work the remote for the new fireplace so we could easily operate it. He didnt leave until he had swept and vacuumed the floors. On the hottest weekend of the year, the fan capacitor in our AC unit blew out, and we were left sweltering in 110 degree heat. I’d used Evergreen before for maintenance on my furnace and gas fireplace, but, when I called them for emergency AC maintenance, I didn’t expect them to have anyone available to help right away. Thankfully, I was wrong about that. Evergreen responded to my early-Sunday morning call almost immediately, and Aaron was at my house by noon. Our AC was back online within a half-hour. I really appreciate Evergreen’s responsiveness and Aaron’s professionalism. Consider me a customer for life!

I called because my heater was not heating. when it was discovered exactly what the problem was, I was told that the part was a common one and they would get the part as quickly as they could to get me heat. I was called the same day and told they would be at my house the next day and repair the problem. The workmen arrived and went to the heater and within an hour, the problem was solved and I had heat. What I expected: to hire Evergreen Gas Heating and Cooling to fix my gas furnace. It seems they have a lot good reviews.What they did: cleaned the burner part and the furnace worked. I paid $340 for a furnace diagnostics and a maintenance. The service includes filter changed but I got to bought filters from Amazon and changed them myself because their technician didn’t bring right filters.What happened after 8 days: my furnace not working again. So it turns out the problem was actually not fixed. I called them. They told me the part they just cleaned 8 days ago needs to be replaced. They can do it for $535. I reasoned with them that the problem was actually not fixed in the first time so I am OK with paying for the new part but I won’t pay for the labor because they simple should pick up what they didn’t finish. They defended themselves and said what they did was right (yeah? then why the problem reoccurs 8 days after?) and my furnace is just old (that’s why I need to hire someone to fix it when it doesn’t work. Does anyone gonna pay $340 to someone to check a working fine, brand new furnace?), not try to really think about why the problem reoccurs and what the client thinks about it. Told them this gonna lead a bad review but obviously they do not care. I guess for them, as long as most of their reviews are good enough to keep their business going then it doesn’t really matter to look what they are doing.Do Not hire them unless you want to waste your money and time.______________________________________________________________Reply to the OwnerThanks for looking into this. I called on Tuesday, in the middle of the heat wave, & they were still able to get me in within 2 days. They called back Wednesday to say they had time to get to us today & fixed us up so we can sleep in our bedroom tonight. We have a thermostat that needs replacing but since our air conditioner is working they’ll come back when others aren’t waiting to get relief from the heat. After I had called 2 other AC companies To send Technicians out to find out what the problem was with my AC and they were here just a short time each one only to come to the conclusion that I need to buy a whole new system. I decided that I should be asking for another Technician because I just couldnt see how my unit that hadnt been used that much could be so bad that I need to buy a brand new one. Id heard of Evergreen gas heating through my son who does different work with people in this business and I ask the Tech to come out and evaluate the problem I was having. Anthony was here early the next morning to help me find the problem, and within minutes he had located the problem and as it turned out instead of happening to pay for a whole new unit it cost me a service charge. I also want to say that Anthony explained everything as he went through this evaluation of the problem and I found that he is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I cant say enough of the appreciation that I have for someone that is honest.

I was turned onto this company through NW Natural . I had a falling out with our previous heating company because they were not good with communications. Evergreen Gas Heating & Cooling score high points for communications about scheduling and sending out their technicians. The tech they sent out was awesome himself, very understanding of the if its not broke, dont replace it just because its old idea towards our furnace and even created a piece to keep it going because that particular part wasnt available any longer. We gained a few more years use of our furnace that is old but still reliable and a new company to keep it maintained. Hi - I work in the HVAC industry and for many years a very ethical company had maintained the systems at my mothers home. Sadly that relationship ended when the owner/operator was forced to retire with serious health problems. I asked our residential reps for referral to their most ethical and respected dealers. We selected Evergreen. Their sales rep TJ was impressively competent technically having been a tech in the field in his prior life and no less skilled in the art of helping people make important financial decisions with the right amount of directly relevant information. Isaac was the senior lead on the work and was as conscientious in staying on task and doing nice work (I know enough to tell) as anyone I’ve seen on my commercial side of the business as were the rest of the crew. Final commissioning by working service manager Anthony was performed to the same high standards. Evergreens owner Bill also came by as he does on every job to check on both crew and the work. Every single member of the Evergreen crew was so considerate and professional that I feel really good about my mom’s new hvac relationship, and would unreservedly recommend Evergreen to others. Evergreen installed the Bryant HVAC system of my new house, built in 2019, and I ran into a problem with the air conditioner not cooling in April 2021 so it had only been through one summer of use. I did not choose them to install it, the developer that built my house did, but I figured since they did the install they would know the most about it or have it covered under warranty. It was a $150 fee to have them come out to diagnose the problem which I was fine with as it seems standard to pay a fee to any HVAC technician to find the problem. However, they found that it was low on refrigerant and the technician didnt have the equipment to find out where the leak was so it was an additional appointment to find the leak and repair it. Their follow up estimate to me was high so I decided to get a second opinion.The second opinion charged me $99 for the diagnostic fee and said that would include figuring out where the leak was as long as the leak was at the AC unit or the furnace coils. The second company found the leak instantly. It turned out that the service valve wasnt closed tightly when it was originally installed so the refrigerant slowly leaked out to the point that it couldnt reach the optimal pressure to operate. Evergreen said this wasnt covered under warranty even though this was clearly an install error of their fault. I had the second company finish the job and the final price came in at less than 1/3 the cost of the original estimate from Evergreen even after the extra $99 service fee. Overall the rest of my system works great so for the most part Evergreen did a good job installing my system but I will not be using them for any repairs services in the future.

Evergreen was recommended to me by my neighbor. She said they arent the cheapest, but they are great. She was correct on both counts. They arrived when they said they would, diagnosed the issue and then came back and installed the parts needed. The best thing I can say is when my heater suddenly stopped working a few days after they where here, I called and Koby was back in less than an hour to reset a switch, that might not have even been related to the original repair, gave me a suggestion on what to do if it happens again, and there was no charge.If you are willing to pay a little extra for professionals and excellent service, then I highly recommend Evergreen. Our gas fireplace wasn’t working since we messed it up during the power outage. Other companies told us they needed to Oder parts and quoted us $350 to repair. The fireplace was only 14 months old so we knew no parts were broken or worn out. Evergreen came out and adjusted a wire and it works great! The charged us a house call. We have had other professionals in to help repair many items in our new home and Anthony and Koby were best all around at what they do.

We had 4 gas leaks and NW Natural had to turn off our gas/heating on a particularly freezing cold day. I called around to many different contractors and Evergreen was the only one who understood the urgency and made space to come out, same day, to fix the leaks. They were on time, professional, thorough, and explained every part of the process and cost upfront. Ive already recommended them to several friends in the area and will continue to do so.

Todd was the technician sent out for our annual furnace maintenance this time and he was prompt, friendly and professional.

My A/C failed the night before one of the hottest days of the year and Anthony came first thing in the morning and fixed it!

We were freezing in our home because we lost electricity for about 4 days from the ice storm. The only possible way to get heat was to get our 3 gas fireplaces to work, but they have electric starters. He came on short notice and managed to get 2 of the 3 to operate and that was enough to get us through this situation. And, the following day, I needed to ask a follow-up question. He called us back and gave the info I needed. We’re very grateful for his work.

If my cat could give stars, Evergreen would get 6. After my gas fireplace insert failed, Aaron from Evergreen spent an afternoon quietly rebuilding it. The result: an efficient room-warming glow. Proof: that night, my cat parked herself in front of the fireplace for four hours.

Very good service, professional and valuable

Each year we use Evergreen Gas Heating & Cooling for maintenance of our gas fireplace. Because our condo is small, we use the fireplace as our primary heat source. We have been very pleased with the service we receive. This year, Aaron was the person who performed the maintenance. He is extremely professional, showed up with a mask on, and was very friendly. He got right to it and his inspection and maintenance was very thorough. I highly recommend Evergreen Gas Heating and Cooling.

We were blown away by our service technician Anthony. He fixed our gas furnace switch and fan quickly and professionally. He even cleaned the window, interior and entire unit for us. When he left, it looked like we had a new furnace installed. I highly recommend this company.

I bought a new gas stove from a box store and when the technicians were removing the old stove, the gas valve on the gas line broke and was leaking (this was not due to the fault of the folks installing it as apparently this valve is known for this). Unfortunately, this meant turning off the gas to the house and going without heat. Evergreen was able to send people out quickly and they did a great job of replacing the broken valve with a sturdier replacement and getting everything up and going. Unfortunately, prior to them coming, I had ripped my linoleum floor moving the stove around to make sure it would fit where the old stove had been. The technicians ripped it a tiny bit more, and refused to charge me for labor or parts. I practically begged them to take payment, since the rip was my doing, but they refused. Class service and amazing professionalism. I will be using them for all my HVAC servicing going forward.
