I’ll let the photos speak for itself. Taken right after I left the salon. I payed $108 for these awful nails. I did not tip.why would u tip awful, terrible work, consul technician was so nasty and rude and rushed the entire service. Well you see how the nails look. Rushed!!! Horrible, the owner followed me out to my car HARASSED me YELLED at me because I refuse to tip her for this terrible service that cost me $108 !!!!!! Should have called the cops on you for following me to my car. It is NOT a law to tip HORRIBLE service.

I approached Melissa requesting a donation for our local elementary back to school night and she was very supportive and generous. Melissa cares about the children of Shelton and was very happy to donate gift certificates to support the event. It’s so awesome to know that she helped without hesitation!I’ve also been a customer of this spa and can say, upgrading your pedicure is the thing to do ! After the service you are brought to a relaxation room with leather recliners, dim lights and relaxing music to experience a 10 min foot massage and a paraffin foot treatment. The massage is my favorite part of the pedicure and have to say I’ve always had a good one there.There are spa packages available at reasonable prices. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed. Appointments are recommended.

Can’t say enough about the excellent service I receive at Blue Lotus. They are so accommodating to my ever changing schedule. I have Eva, she will never disappoint. I show her what I want, she delivers every time. Soothing atmosphere, I always fall asleep while my nails are being done. Rachel is perfect, she knows the clientele, she always checks to make sure you received the service you wanted. The owners have an eye for detail and it is represented by their staff. Never had an issue- they cater to their clients. Excellent, lean surroundings, definitely worth more than 5 stars. I drive 40 minutes just for their services ❤️

Very attentive, not rushed. Ive only had a manicure there so far. I love that they have a concierge team, so the person doing your nails can focus on you and not answering the phone or door, etc. You do need a reservation, but Ive found you can call before you arrive and they can usually take you in.

I have gotten my nails done here a few times and they always do a good job. This time I felt very rushed. I understand with COVID-19, that they must stick to a schedule but I called a few days in advance and made an appointment for exactly what I got. First, I was never asked what shape I wanted my nails filed and my nails were not filed to even lengths. By the time I realized she wasn’t sticking with the shape I had it was too late to correct. As I was getting my back massage my nail tech made me pay my almost $100 bill while I was trying to enjoy the massage (which I was expecting and prepared for so that’s not the issue) and then was indicating to tip her right then in her envelope. The nail tech also checked a paper schedule as my nails were in the UV dryer. Again, I get that COVID has businesses stressed. But, I did make an appointment and spent a decent amount of money there. I have gone other places, spent less, and not been so rushed.

I walked up and saw the sign no walkins. I went back to my car and called- explained I was in the parking lot and could they accomodate a manicure- they were able to. Very Covid conscious. Place was spotless and I had a great manicure from Lori. The salon is also very tastefully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. I will definately return.

My Mother has been a loyal customer since Coco Spa opened their doors over 15 years ago. She has gone nowhere else for her nails. Even when scandals struck and technicians left, my mom stayed. During the Isaias storm I was without power for days and needed my children to go somewhere and my Mom stepped up forcing her to cancel her nail appointment. She was told since she didn’t give 24 hours notice she from now on has to pay for her services up front when booking future appointments. She was so upset and they wouldn’t budge.She posted a review regarding this on Yelp with her first name and she subsequently received a call from the very rude manager Rachel stating her future appointments are cancelled and she’s no longer welcome as a client there. Who conducts business like this? In a pandemic? My family has purchased gift cards for her for her upcoming birthday and want our money back.

This was my very first time going to blue lotus spa. my neighbor got me a gift certificate for watching her cats. The place is absolutely beautiful! I was the only one dressed in sweats and a tshirt (I felt out of place) but Jessica and Danny went above and beyond to make my experience exceptional. I 100% will definitely recommend and return as a customer. I signed up for their awesome VIP rewards card. Im super excited to go back. Keep up the great work! Im excited to try the facials and waxing next.

WHATEVER YOU DO -DO NOT GET A LASH LIFT HERE. I got chemical burns IN MY EYES. Lashes were very over processed and fried right off. It’s been two months and my eyes are still swollen. And now also hairless. 😎

Horrible customer serviceWay over pricedThe lady did a gel manicure and was almost done when they realized she wasn’t using gel polish. Had to do the whole thing over. By the time I went to bed, two of my nails were already chipped. Never offered the hand paragon wax because she was in a hurry to fix her mistake. All they offered was a $5 off coupon next time. I will never go back.My friend wanted a pedicure with additional callous remover they told she had to pay for the $50 pedicure to get it. Just ridiculous.

Horrible customer service. First time customer at BL. The pedicure was horrible because there was zero massage. Then got a manicure and was asked if I wanted a complimentary massage and I said yes but never received one. If they provide bad service and no included massages then maybe they should lower their prices for such a quick service. The establishment was however nice and clean. My nails came out pretty nice.

I have been there a few times, and my nails have turned out okay. Not stellar, but okay. I recently moved to a different town and have been getting my nails done there. I went home to visit family and decided to get my nails done. I got powder gel, which i normally get, and normally it can last me between 4-6 weeks (and i am pretty rough on my hands). I got my nails done on Monday. it is now thursday and they have already chipped. Mind you, this gel manicure was easily $30 more expensive then the place i go to in my town. I will most likely not be returning.

Great experience. But I had a facial followed by a couples massage. They transferred everything to the couples room except for my wallet, which was sitting on top of everything else in the facial room. I thought that was very strange. No money was lost, but I immediately cancelled my cards within my wallet.

I have actually never left a negative review before. But after my experience with Nina, I felt it was necessary. First off, this place charges 38 for a gel manicure- which is considerably high when there is no massage or wax and the gel manicure I received was by far the worst manicure I have ever received. I am comparing this to about 5 other places that I have been to. It was uncomfortable from the beginning when Nina was frustrated that she could not get my gel polish off stating it was a “bad polish.” She did not ask if I even liked my color before quickly moving onto my next nail. When I asked if I could change the color- after all I am paying 40 dollars for a manicure, she got extremely rude with me. She asked me what I wanted and I told her a pale white. She quickly rushed through my nails and I kid you not- the manicure was done in less than 10 minutes. I left with a thick, uneven coat of white out. It was so bad that I went to my usual salon so they could fix it that night. They even said it was a rushed job. Overall- it was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. Not only was Nina’s rudeness uncomfortable, but I ended up with an awful rushed manicure that was so bad I changed it that night. For 40 dollars and no massage, wax, etc- not worth it at all. Then she hands me a paper and without telling me anything about it, says fill this out. It’s a paper asking for all my information. I said no thank you. The only good thing is I had a glass of (cheap) wine to help me keep my cool!!! Seriously sad becuase I used to love getting pedicures here.

Ive been coming to blue lotus 1-2 times a month for over a year now and I love it! The atmosphere is very clean and relaxing; everyone is very friendly and professional. Someone is always there to ask if you want a drink or complimentary massage, as well as always making sure you are comfortable and content. They offer a wide variety of services, and do all they can to fit you in for an appointment. I highly recommend blue lotus to everyone!

If I could give this place a negative 10 stars I would! I cant believe this place has the WORST customer service Ive witnessed. I have been going on and off for years and ask myself why cause overall the workers do their job and its close...they cant help it if they work for terrible managers! I spend over $60+ dollars every 2 weeks to get my nails done (UV gel). I recently had an issue with a new product which they charged me an extra $20 and it all chipped off. Not only 1 time, or 2 times but 3 times. So when I went back to get them completely redone for the 4th time would you believe they charged me full price. I argued with the manager for over 10 minutes. For the amount of money I have spent there over the years I just really dont feel it was handled properly at all. Ive never left a bad review in my life but this just hit a nerve. Also one other comment I have to say are the male employees stink like smoke so bad that when you leave after being handled either for nails or a massage you stink like smoke! GROSS!! Im done!

Very clean spa like atmosphere. I found there to be too many rules. Prices seemed high for the length of services, pedicure seemed rushed. I rather not have the free wine and have more time and attention to detail with the service. One bonus I did appreciate was the parafin dip with the manicure.

I was rear ended in car accident and it was the day afterwords. I could not move my neck. Blue Lotus has amazing massage therapists. I walked in and got a 15 year experienced therapist who knew exactly how to workout the tension in my neck. Professional perfect private spa rooms that were the right temperature. Sometimes you have to wait to get nails done even with appointments, but good things are worth waiting for. Personally, I think the nail techs put a little extra love in each job that the receptionist has difficultly timing it when she tells you to sit. I love it when you get a pedicure and one of the massage therapist comes over and takes over the massage part for the nail techs. It helps free the nail techs and you get a professional foot rub. Bonus!

Everything time i have went to this place i don’t feel welcomed. ONE TIME i went i had brought my mother keep in mind it was a sunday. Now we are religious but don’t attend church and sunday are like the comfy relax day. so we went with sweatshirts and sweatpants as soon as we walked in we got judge mental looks that we didn’t belong there i don’t know if anyone else has experience this. the pedicure and manicure weren’t bad but i feel as tho they gossip a lot about you and judge way to hard!

This place consistently switches technicians mid-service. Literally everytime Im there, I am helped by 4 different people. Also watch out when picking a color. I picked a Zoya polish, which is just as standard an option as Essie or OPI, and somehow they charged me $5 extra for mani and $5 extra for my pedi. When I asked abouh the extra $10, she replied that the color is supposed to last longer and pointed to the base and top coats. I told her I didnt ask for anything above normal and that noone specified that to me. Rather the lady who seated me (tech #1) grabbed the base and top coats on her own volition. The tech then indicated that there is a sign near the polishes to announce the upcharge. Let just say...if there was a sign, it must have been conveniently placed so as to hide the info. I also find it interesting that Ive gone there countless times over the course of 2 years, spending hundreds of dollars, and NEVER has anyone ever offered me a loyalty membership. Coco or Blue Lotus...mgmt needs to he mindful of these things. People dont like to be handled over and over and certainly nobody likes the old bait and switch with prices. With that said, the spa pedicure is not good enough where I would continue to patronize this establishment. $58 and I have to wonder how many people I gotta tip?? Its crazy and unnecessary. There are too many other choices in nail care for lackluster customer service. I will however make sure to give props to Agnes for giving a nice mani/pedicure and to Tony, the massage therapist, who did a thorough job w the reflexology.

I used to come here a while back and the service was great. In the last month I have been there twice and both times received bare minimum in service. They were very short on the phone while I was making the appointment. This past week was there for a pedicure that maybe lasted 15 min. Then was asked if I wanted a complimentary massage and I said sure hoping it would make up for the lack of relaxation during my pedicure. No one came back. My moms nail polish was taking forever to dry so they offered to put quick drying oil. They smudged her nail and the fix was to take it all off and only put one coat of color and tried to send us on our way. While the place is clean, don’t expect over the good customer service.

After five years of Blue Lotus being my exclusive salon for mani/pedis, it’s time to move on. They’ve always been somewhat inconsistent (except for one fantastic person I used to see for gel tips when I had them) and a little more expensive than other salons in the area, but I kept going back because I enjoyed my visits the times they were good. I always upgrade to spa pedicures, except for today - because the pants I wore wouldn’t roll up high enough. I got Alex (who I’ve never had before), he whipped through my basic pedi in 15 min & put me at a dryer without offering a quick massage or any other service - it’s like he just wanted to be done with me. I’ve spent thousands of dollars in this salon (though I never seem to have enough points on my membership card to redeem for service...interesting...) and the one time I get a basic service, I feel like they rushed me along & out the door! Seems like a lot of new employees there in the past few months, I don’t even see the same manager anymore. My advice - Blue Lotus is always a gamble, so choose wisely.

Never going back here. I have been a faithful customer for YEARS now and today was the last time Ill ever go there. The people in there know me by name, I go regularly every week. I got a French Manicure for $18 and a complimentary back massage. I gave the woman (Dorothy) a $5 tip for her and the man who did my 5 minute complimentary back massage. She looks at me and goes, Is this for the back massage as well? I said yea, thats all the cash I have. She goes well we have an ATM over there.... First time - last time. Spa pedicure & fill. My finger nails are a mess. They look like they were done by a child. The person who did my fill was rude and rushed so the gel didnt even have time to set. It has bubbled up and my entire fill has to be redone! The pedicure wasnt much better. She cut my nails so short that I am in actual pain when I walk. I paid $120 for this. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

I went to Blue Lotus because it was near the area I lived in, and looked fairly nice and high class. The prices where expensive for the treatment i received this time around. When we got inside the ladies took our jackets.I was a uncomfortable because the second i started to take off my jacket they started to laugh . As for the nails them selfs they where ok, the lady who did our nails seemed to be rushed for some reason. before writing my review i looked at some of the other people comments and i saw that they felt the same way as well. My sister an I wanted the same color but to make the process faster the lady asked if she wanted a color that was similar, we explained that we would like the same color. overall Ive have had good experiences at this nail salon and some bad you have to go on the right day where the good manager is there and the better ladies as well.

My bridesmaids and I came here for mani/pedis before my wedding. There were 5 of us so we expected to be there for a couple of hours. Everyone was extremely friendly and immediately showed us to our chairs. They were able to accommodate all of us and get all of our pedicures done and then moved on to manicures. They did a great job on everyone and we were out of there in an hour and a half. We all mentioned that we wished we lived closer so we could go there all the time. I highly recommend Blue Lotus to anyone!

I have been coming to this spa for a long time and have spent thousands of dollars in services. Yesterday I paid 112.00 for mani/Pedi. I asked for change for a 20.00 to give to the guy who did my massage and nails. The VERY RUDE owner said, 20% tip is expected, you’re only giving 5.00 each? How cheap?? I told her after spending over 100 dollars on services to a loyal customer, it is bad practice to berate and bully someone in to a bigger tip. She pointed to the very overpriced ATM which they own and said, you can give a better tip than that. I said I am not obligated to tip at all and told her I would not ever come back!! Went in on a Saturday not too busy. Ive seen it busier. Gel manicure was a rush job. Noticed when I got home it was full of streaks. Will never again refer anyone here and am throwing out my loyalty card. Another sham. I found it to be over-priced for rushed service. I suggest asking for the breakdown of the total due to different prices depending on who you ask. I got a pedicure and partial manicure (cuticles trimmed, clear polish only). It cost $45!! Monroe spas are around $30 and are much nicer.Also, beware! I got a toenail infection from this place. Its caused by microspores that were not properly killed off by autoclaving tools!! Very mad and disappointed, I do not suggest nor will I be back.

Overall my experience wasnt bad..but it was exceptional neither!I went in for a Facial Package with a gel manicure ( upcharged for that) ...for my birthday!!! Sara the dermatologist did a Wonderful job..loved her! Nina, who was handling my mani-pedi, was not so good and I felt rushed and was told it would be an additional charge (on top of the gel upcharge) to do 2 colors for both my hands and feet. Tony, the massager was Wonderful as well...so when it came time to pay with all the upcharge my bill was an additional $30..the end is what got me...I gave a bigger tip to Sara & Tony, because I felt like they deserved it..Nina, I gave a lesser tip, because I felt like she was rude, rushed the mani-pedi, and overall not accommodating at all..Well the lady in the front told me I HAD to give her more of a tip because she did my nails...I never felt so angry...Since, when do you demand a customer to give a tip??? I went there three times and was harassed by the manager EVERY TIME… she is rude and unprofessional… I once paid with a credit card and asked that the tips be included in the tab (which i have done in several other locations with no problem) and she said NO, that I should use their high fee ATM machine.. when I said I wouldnt do that she said you are not tipping your servers, how rude That was NOT my intension I am a very generous tipper, I just didnt have the cash.. I went a second time with cash in hand for tips not to have any problems and my $27 pedicure lasted 10 minutes, yesterday I went again, I used a $25 gift card to pay for part of my service (they gave me a dirty look) and came back saying it was only good for $20, I called the card and learned they did not know how to use it and that they charged it for $24 but since I only signed for $20 I have to wait for the credit… I had to ask for my gift card receipt that they fished from the garbage… They have no respect for people… do yourself a favor, go to ROSE NAIL in fairfield and for $27 you get almost an hour pedicure with massage and wax… and you will be treated well
