I took my stepson to Alex for a trim and fade. OMG! Alex did not disappoint! He was amazing! They are friendly, great prices and most importantly they are the ABSOLUTE BEST at fades!!!! BOYS...MEN and WOMEN...get your hair did here!!!! :)

I went there yesterday for my hair color and haircut .few days before my appointment they asked me to send them the picture of my hair and what color I want it so I send it to them including the haircut style I want. I forgot her name but she has blue long hair. I can tell she doesn’t know what she is doing and no experience just the way she touched My hair to put on the color that you can’t even feel she touching my head. and the worst Thing is when she washed my hair the colors still in my scarf and all over my face I have to tell her to washed the back of my neck. And just getting worse I want highlights my hair turned dark, grayish, blues. And haircut was awful. I still pay and tips her . Customer service was terrible!!!

Lets talk about a small business done right. Ive been getting my hair cut here for over 3 cumulative years and have never had a bad experience. Tim and Melissa are phenomenal patrons and excellent barbers/stylists and the same can be said my barber, Mr. Alvarado. Be warned though, theyre in high demand! Make an appointment by calling!

I tried to get in several times for a color fix after I had left with wet hair(my fault I was in a rush)and was basically ignored each time I reached out. So I had to find another salon. They seem to do a great job with vivid colors and the barber side of things; but lack professionalism when it comes to customer courtesy.

Will be going back. I just hope the next time I can get with someone who uses a straight razor. She was great for my son since he has a fear of the traditional barber tools and the sylist use different methods that dont irritate his sensitivity. He is highly ticklish and getting his haircut has always been a problem. This boy is even ticklish on his arms, anywhere you touch him he is likely to fall down laughing and that is no joke.

Anytime I need to get my hair done this is the place that I go. Marissa always does my hair and she’s a hair coloring artist lol.I’ve been going here for 6 years now and I highly recommend this shop!

Fit me in for a haircut before my senior prom. And it was amazing service. .... I still come here. I went to prom in 2017 and i still choose them in 2020. They all are family and i just cant see myself choosing another barber. They price pretty reasonable. And they have just outstanding service.

Never have been disappointed with a cut by any of the staff here! The coloring by Marissa amazes and the barbers straight razors are in point!!!Even better customer service and all around great people!

Called twice (left message) on two different occasions to schedule an appointment. Not once did they return my phone call either time. Not a great way to bring in any new business. I will look elsewhere.

I love UHH!!! Marissa has cut and colored my hair many times in the last few years, and I have always had a huge amount of trust in her because she is amazing!!! She listens to what you want and she has the ability to make it happen. My 9 and 10 year old daughters come to UHH too and have loved their haircuts every time! (My husband loved UHH before we did and he recruited us to come try it out, and I am glad we made the move!!!!)We haven’t had Tim do our hair, but He clearly has a talent as well. It is mesmerizing to watch him cut the hair of other clients. He puts so much care and perfection in what his does! I am grateful to have found a salon that has kind, skilled workers!

My wife and son came in to get his hair cut. They were told it would be an hour wait and they would call then when he was next. They left for an hour, then came back and were told it would be another 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, a total of 2 hours, they still werent called and walked out. The last time I walked in on a Saturday 30 minutes before they closed to be told the barber that was doing walk in appointments had just left. It will be worth the extra drive to Greenwood or Wanamaker to get our hair cut. They may do a good job on your hair but they have A LOT to learn about customer service and taking care of your customers.

Tim and Marissa are awesome. They love what they do, and they are constantly working on their craft, constantly improving. When they close up shop, they often spend hours in the evening watching hair styling videos on YouTube and reading up on the latest techniques. These are not simply two people who put their time in at beauty school and never bothered to learn anything beyond that. They love what they do, and they are constantly expanding their knowledge, working to perfect their already incredibly impressive skillset, and discovering new gadgets and products to add their styling toolkits.Im moving to Indy in a couple of weeks, but Im going to continue getting my haircut in Shelbyville at UHH.
