Loved Martha ... return was much lower and i could not get any answers to follow up why

Terri Meyer always does an excellent job. Prompt, accurate and a great person to work with.

It was fast and easy. And the staff are knowledgeable and know how to get you the max refund.

Had my taxes done at the south side H@R block right next to lakeshore lanes bowling alley. I only had to wait for about 3 minutes before in waiting area from check in time, the women who did my taxes was very friendly and welcoming and made me feel comfortable and was quick to answer any questions I had as we went thru the process, the whole appointment was about 30 minutes and she got me a great return on my taxes I was very happy with not to mention made sure I was able to get both my stimulus payments added on that I never got, oh the womens name who did my taxes is Peggy, so if u want someone nice and smart who very helpful ask for Peggy when u call to make an appointment to do your taxes. The only negative thing i have to say is when i first called to set an appointment up and get some general information the women who answered the phone was hard to understand and seemed really confused about answering some basic questions I had about getting my taxes done there and also kept calling me a women which is weird as I have a deep voice and seemed to have a hard time figuring out when they had appointments open so a bit frustrating with that but overall great experience.

Martha makes it all so simple in todays complex world with ever changing laws pertaining to taxes.

Have been coming to H&R Block for over 30 years, and even though this years pro was new to me, Terri Meyer made me feel comfortable and was very pleased with her.

Terri was thorough and complete. She made sure I understood every part of the form before we moved to the next step.

I came in eating a sandwich and wasnt told and no sign that I cant eat, then the rep, Anita on the South Side then was as unprofessional as csn be, all they had to do was inform me that they wouldnt like me to eat. didnt have to get snippy and then complains to her leader that im having an issue after returning and she was talking to me with her mask down.. like wait its ok for you to talk with your mask down but I cant finish my 3 bites of a sandwich.. done with the double standards...

Charge of $240 for 20 minutes preparation; thats $720 an hour. I realize that cost advances each year and other circumstances are included in the cost of preparation. But what you are charging for Tax preparation has to be adjusted to a lower cost preparation in the future including next years preparation for which I am scheduled.

The service was top notch as usual but we were really surprised w/ the cost this year. For what amounted to a very basic joint return, it seemed way overpriced in our opinion. Yes, it was explained afterward but had I asked the question of cost prior, I would have declined H&R Blocks service this year. There wasnt anything difficult concerning filing, just very basic Social Security, part time income & health insurance for my wife. I could have seriously completed this on my own @ a savings of $278, for 20 minutes service. As I mentioned, I wish I had asked about the cost prior to the preparation. When ones income is as small as ours is, that $278. would have really come in handy. We left feeling we screwed up by using H&R Block when we actually would have had a better refund if we had completed it ourselves. This is in no way a negative reflection on Peggy Gabrielse part as a preparer. She was as always well informed, very professional & kind. Although an appt. is made for next year
