I recently rented a stump grinder and we ran into a slight issue when trying to collect my security deposit. Well David went above and beyond to take care of me. He definitely showed me that customer service is his number one goal. Very pleased with how the situation was handled at the end. Would recommend this place for your rental needs fair prices and helpful staff.
Reserved an auger for an entire week, several days in advance. Showed up at 8am and was told it wasnt available because it was sitting in Manitowoc and that no one was there to let me pick it up. Drove by the Manitowoc location 20 mins later and numerous employees standing around.DO NOT TRUST THEM TO HAVE YOUR EQUIPMENT IF YOURE A PRO.Update: I stated all facts. I can provide time and date that I reserved this, 6 DAYS PRIOR. Your lazy employee CHOSE not to call me and let me know it wasnt available.The same employee TOLD ME that my auger was sitting at the other store in Manitowoc.Your rating on here is obviously reflective of how your business is run. Dont blame COVID for you not being able to make a phone call. Quasius Equipment will get my business from now on.
Terrible place called ahead of time and made a reservation And tried to rent two items totaling $95 but need a deposit of 750 which I didn’t have a credit card going high enough for because they don’t let use debit and then was told last second that I couldnt use a relative and their credit card Even though I asked an employee when I made the reservation the guy that answered the call and told me I couldn’t use it last second doesn’t know how to figure anything out and only says that he can’t do anything about it and then cried That he didn’t wanna rent it to me because I was rude just because I was asking questions like how one employee can tell me I can use someone and then one who can’t figure anything out on his own tells me he can’t because he can’t do anything without the owner holding his hand
DO NOT RENT FROM GRAND RENTAL STATION!On May 1, my husband and I had rented a boom lift for taking down about 18 dead ash trees from Grand Rental Station in Sheboygan. When we went to pick it up they told my husband that they tried calling but it was double booked and not available. When I called them to ask what happened and how they would make it right, he said he did make it right by calling. When I asked if they left a message he said no but he tried calling. I am sorry but who nowadays picks up calls from numbers they don’t know? I explained we had people lined up to help and how much of an inconvenience this was. I asked again how they would make it right and he gave me a discount to rent it again from them, which we did, my second mistake (first was calling initially). I put my deposit down on May 5 to rent it again on June 5. I called on June 4 to confirm it was available since I didn’t want to waste my time again. Good thing I did as David, the owner, said it was not back and won’t be available tomorrow. I didn’t swear, but expressed my anger and disappointment. I explained that I would never rent from there again, I would tell anyone who would listen not to rent from there and I wanted my money back. I asked how a business could be run like that and I never had this problem with Quasius Rental. He must not like confrontation, because he HUNG up on me. What type of business owner can treat customers this way and still be in business (I should have read more reviews...because they aren’t very good). I called back and no one answered. I tried from a friends phone which a different employee answered and when I explained I wanted to talk to David, he told me he was in the middle of something and couldn’t come to the phone. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER RENT FROM GRAND RENTAL STATION IN SHEBOYGAN AGAIN. Don’t waste your time, money and disappointment...rent from someone else!! Thank goodness, Quasius Rental came through and had something for us to rent.
We worked with Grand Rental for two separate weddings, both experiences being extraordinary. Dustin was the main contact for both days and he was more than willing to help and accommodate us in a very professional and respectful manner. Grand Rental provided chairs and tables for both weddings, along with other wedding decorations and a tent. Prices are great, products are well maintained, and service is awesome. Rude owners!Reserved a large stump grinder, and when we showed up was told it was unavailable. They substituted with a much smaller unit, which was too small for the job. We now need to rent from somewhere else to finish the job.Teeth were dull from the start and the brake didnt work. We adjusted both to make the unit usable and safe. When we returned it, the owner SCREAMED at me. Saying we had no right to touch the machine. Thought we were doing him a favor by fixing an unsafe machine. Obviously they dont check their equipment before sending it out.Dont waste your time. Rent from somewhere else. We will from now on.
We needed carpet installation equipment and they had what we needed. Unfortunately, due to issues with the company we were trying to get the carpet from *cough Menards cough* we had to push back our rental dates FOUR times. Grand Rental was gracious, understanding, and accommodating every time, and at the end even though we had reserved it for two days we only needed it one and they refunded the second day. Thank you for the amazing customer service! We will be back!!!
Had a decent experience in July renting from Grand Rental Station for my daughters graduation party. Delivery went great, slush bowl, tables and chairs arrived on time.When we went to set up the Slush Bowl we had to you tube directions because the machine came with none. Good thing we had 3 engineers at the party to babysit the machine. Once we got it going only 1 side worked. A $75 rental and it only half worked which wouldnt have been a big deal if on Monday morning when I called to inform them they would have refunded me for 1/2 the rental amount of the machine ($37.50). That would have been the good customer service thing to do. They did not and I got my bill with a balance for the full amount. Other than that I would have given them a 5 star review... just one simple thing but that didnt happen.
I rented the margarita machine for a Christmas party and it was great! They offer lots of flavors for you to choose from. Shelly was awesome! Very helpful and informative, making it really easy to set up and use the machine. Can’t wait to rent again!
We used Grand Rental for our wedding in August and they were perfect. They were very friendly, easy to work with, and were very patient with my multiple calls and questions. I will definitely be using them again and have referred several people to them!
I rented a margarita machine for a party and it was so amazing! Everyone loved the drinks, and it was so easy to set up. I told my friends at work that they NEED to have it for a their campground parties this summer. Shelly was so helpful and even gave us a nice cart to put the machine on.
Our experience was renting a Karaoke machine was horrendous. We received the machine and when we set it up prior to the party, the play button was jammed and we couldnt get it to play. We called and Dustin stated they were closed and there was nothing he could do. Thankfully he then said he could meet us back at the shop in an hour and a half to exchange it. My friend waited for 15 minutes and he didnt show. Thankfully he then dropped it off at the party location.We set up the machine and it worked, however, the machine was very old school. Flipping through a CD case to find a song, awful sound, feedback from the microphone and barely able to hear the music/singing.When we called to complain their response was that it works fine and nothing is wrong with their machine.I think their equipment is sub-par and their customer service is even worse. Id stay away from this company.
Faced with pulling up a wedding by 3 months and only 6 days to get everything organized we called Grand Rental for help. Dustin was incredible to work with, he listened to the problems we were facing and immediately jumped into action to help us create an unforgettable event for a special family. Dustin and the Grand Rental team were great in quickly organizing everything we needed to rent, helping us source options and availability immediately. They were always ready with answers and solutions, and patient while we finalized plans; a true blessing to work with during such a stressful time. Dustin and the entire Grand Rental teams kindness during this process is rarely found at a business level, and their care for us as customers is something we will not soon forget. Wonderful to work with such an efficient and professional team who is also compassionate and understanding. Will most definitely be working with them again in the future!
Unreliable and Poor Customer Service.If you want reliable and courteous service this is NOT the place to do business. Two years in a row we did not get the items we reserved (one year item broken, one year didnt have the item) and we got no apology or accommodation from the business. I was especially surprised that this was the kind of treatment we got from the man who appeared to own or manage the business.
I rented a nacho machine for a party and it was a huge hit. I was lucky enough to have it over a holiday weekend and was only charged for 1 day. Everyone there was extremely helpful and Shelly A. was completely awesome! Cant wait to rent it again!
Ive never rented from here before and was renting some linens for a retirement party; when Dusty tallied up the total cost, I was shocked at how much it was going to be! He worked with me on pick-up and drop-off times and was able to greatly reduce the total, saving me a significant amount of money. Great customer service!
Poor customer service. Reserved tables and chairs 6 weeks out went to pick and they tried to say we couldnt get the tables because they were rented for next day. Had to return by 7 am. Then they tried to charge us for damages.I return tables in exactly the same condition as I rented them If you do rent from them make sure to inspect equipment before taking it so they dont scam you. Will find different rental options next time
Every encounter Ive had with Grand Rental Station has been nothing but positive. The manager Dustin was more than helpful in my recent visit. Will definitely be coming back in the future
Rented the slushee machine. They loaded the machine into our car Got home and started putting it together and discovered the drip tray was broken. Took a picture of it for proof. When we returned it we told them about it and showed the picture. Next day got a email charging an extra $35 for it. Called and questioned them and they said we broke it. We had 6 other people here all witnessing that it was broken when we took it out of the car, which they loaded in the car. Tried to tell us it must have happened in the transport. If that happened, that piece would have been in the plastic container it was in, which it wasn’t. Very poor customer service in trying to solve this matter.
Never had such a terrible customer service experience. You would think after spending over $100 with these people, they wouldnt try to take more money after you return the equipment. Everything was returned in original working order but they charged me for stuff I didnt even rent, and told me I forgot to return it to them.
These guys are the best! Even after poor communication on delivery times on my part, David was extremely kind and understanding, and worked with me in spite of my error. They had great products and very quick and accurate set up. Best of all, David handled what could have been a very stressful situation very professionally and treated me with respect and kindness. If I could do no stars I would! Very unprofessional customer service. Both installers and the lady at the front desk made my wedding day a nightmare. We got married on Saturday and lets just say this company is NOT the company you want to work with!! We rented a 20x30 tent and napkins. They came on Friday to set up ask my now husband and I were we wanted the tent, we told them how we wanted and they set it up. Then come to find out they just leave, they dont ask how anything looks or if its what we wanted they just left. I go outside and the sides are just laying in the grass unsure how to put them up if it were to rain. I start setting up for my ceremony and notice that the polls are in the middle of the tent. So I call and ask why they didnt double check with me to ensure all was fine, they said they were given directions on how to set it up so they did so nothing is wrong. I advised the lady that I was talking with to think about a time that someone didnt 2nd guest their decision and she couldnt think of one. Come to the end they were willing to come out and rotate the tent for an additional 235$$!! Seriously? At this point I told them to come back then did, I was down there when they were resetting up. Made sure it looked right, asked them to move it to the right a little and the guy goes You need to make up your mind we have to go! Being a customer service manager, you have extremely poor service and I hope thats what you want for your company because where I work I wouldve fired someone for treating someone the way I was treated. I will tell all brides not to use your services so they dont feel as uncomfortable as I did.

I wish there was an option to give 0 out of 5 stars because this was the kind of experience I had with this company. I had my wedding on Saturday and rented an ice cream/soft serve machine for it. I LOVE ice cream and this was something myself, my husband, and our guests were so excited about. We picked it up on Friday with no directions or printed manual and was told it was very simple. The next day as it was being put together it would not work- the motor would not run, therefore it did not spin. We had four individuals- one a mechanic- look over it, have to take it apart, and try to get the motor to run. It did so very slowly and what resulted was warm milk. Not only did our guests spend 45 minutes trying to fix it, but all the ice cream toppings my brother in law purchased were wasted. I was not about to call on my wedding day, but first chance I got to on Monday I did. I explained the situation that the ice cream machine did not work at all and that I would like a full refund. The girl, Savannah, I was speaking to said that was not possible and then I asked for a supervisor. I believe it is the owner, David, who answered, and also said I would not receive a refund, not even allowing me to explain the situation. I gave the same reasons I feel I as a consumer deserved it and he prodded me and accused me of it being my error. Again, I explained that it was being fixed by several individuals and that it was in fact the machine. He then lied and said the person who dropped it off for me said it was fine when returning it, this is completely untrue and he was never even asked how it worked. I said that I was upset with their service and that I would be writing a review about their company. He then raised his voice and yelled how do you have the audacity to call me and tell me this? We provided what you needed and if there was a problem you should have called on Saturday or earlier. I then proceeded to let him know I will be in touch with the Better Business Bureau and he hung up the phone on me. My mom then called back and the woman who I talked with initially said he was not there and would not give a time for his return, then hung up on her.I have never had such low quality products or customer service. In no way did they try to resolve the issue and instead of diffusing it, David escalated it and made me feel bad for calling to inform him of his product! Luckily my wedding day was amazing and this was unfortunately a terrible experience after, but I will forever remember this and urge everyone who reads this (yes its long, I apologize) to NEVER RENT FROM SHEBOYGAN GRAND RENTAL. David, if you are reading this, I hope karma gets you.
I rented a arch and payed for them to deliver it to me. When they delivered it it was in pieces and looked super bad and had nails bending. My mom took a picture of it before any of us moved it. When I told them about it they tried to say it must have happened when we picked it up from them, But they delivered it to our hall. When I told them that they tried to say it was the weather because they thought we had our wedding outside. When I let them know it was inside they kept trying to make up a story that fit their agenda and took 184 dollars more out my account (unauthorized) for something that was already broken. I contacted the bbb and no surprise, Im not the only person that had to take more actions. They also took the final amount of the payment out of my account without authorization 4 days before the wedding. We have over a dozen witnesses to the condition of this piece of equipment.
This place needs some kind of maintenance program put in place. Some of the equipment they have is in bad shape. Ive rented equipment from here a couple of times. One thing I rented the hyd hose was about ready to burst. It worked fine and got the job done. When I returned it back, I told one of their mechanics what I seen and showed him.
I rented the towable boom for cutting down some trees over the weekend. My plan was by using the boom I would get the trees down quick enough to return the equipment within the time constraints. My project started out in trouble when snow showed up making transport an issue and my start time delayed. David worked with me to ensure I got the job done without it becoming a project outside my budget. Their service was exceptional and went beyond what was necessary. Even though I live 35 minutes away, I will definitely rent from them again. Great job!
The worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I work retail and have had my fair share of difficult customers but NEVER have I treated a paying customer the way I was treated. The woman working the desk rolled her eyes, sighed and dismissed my issue as if it was a waste of her time. I spent 150$ there and I was appalled by the way I was treated.To address Grand Rentals reply to my review. Yes my husband Shawn also left a review. I never signed any contract. All my purchases were made over the phone.Second, my husband couldnt fit all the chairs in my car with the bouncy house so I had to come back with the second set of chairs.I would be happy to recieve a call from someone in charge at the facility. Ive emailed the owner in a private message and recieved no response. I however will not call the business number for fear of talking to the same person I dealt with earlier.
If I could give zero stars I would!I reserved a trailer months before I needed it and the day before I was supposed to pick it up, they rented it to someone else! B.S. also I rented the PA system, when I returned it, it had the power cord and mic and the mgr checked everything in. Now, 3 weeks later theyve charged me $15 for the power cord saying we never returned it! If you have ANY other options, go there before you go to GRS!!!! This place is a joke!If I dont here from the manager today and have the $15 put back on to the card they didnt have permission to charge in the first place, I will be contacting the BBB! This will be resolved one way or the other!

I had a terrible experience with Grand rental. My original contract was for delivery of 5 tables and 32 chairs up 14 steps to a deck. The person completing my order assured me this would be done, no problem. The owner phoned me one week later for my deposit, took my information including my billing address and my credit card information. After I paid with my credit card I was informed that they would not deliver the tables and chairs up the stairs. They would drop them off at the bottom of the stairs or he could cancel the order, no problem. I told him I had surgery and cant lift and he told me his own daughters carry items up stairs not understanding why I needed help. Of course I didnt want to cancel but when no apology was provided and after the rude reference to my disability I had to cancel the order. Some people think they can treat customers poorly and there will be no consequences. Walk away from this company, from my experience-they are not trustworthy.
Owner - you need to make it right for these couples getting married. I agree its hard to make everyone happy but to take advantage of young couples getting married is not good business.REFUND THEIR MONEY.

HORRIBLE customer service when it comes to the owner David. If I could give 0 stars on him alone, I would. I own and operate a home servicing business and rented a pole saw last minute which didnt work properly and the chain wasnt sharp which resulted in immediately returning it. While explaining to David the issue my contractors were having he became very rude and angry and made a comment insinuating that I was lying because he just sharpened the chain and it worked just fine before. David took the saw in back and later came out and blamed us for breaking it. While trying to explain to him again that it wasnt working properly when we got it, he continuously interrupted me making rude comments. I then said I wanted a refund which he stated I would not be getting one and that he now had to have his mechanic look at it and fix it since we brought it back broken. What a jerk!! I am surprised he is still in business after reading all the reviews. Every single bad review references David as being rude and unprofessional. Another thing I noticed is that all of those reviews are from women. Clearly he has issues with how he treats and speaks to women. I will NEVER step foot in that store again. I would rather pay double elsewhere than get treated like garbage by that guy. The only positive experience I had was dealing with Shannon initially when I reserved other equipment, and Dustin the mechanic. They were both very courteous and professional. Its pretty sad when an employee apologizes for their own bosss inappropriate behavior. Good job David on receiving yet another bad review for your own childish and unprofessional behavior!!As far as Davids reply to this review, its a total lie. I came in very calm. After trying to explain the situation he immediately became angry and rude and continued for the duration I was there. I couldnt take it anymore and gave him a piece of my mind and walked out. I later received a call from the mechanic apologizing. My employee called to explain the reason for the chain not spinning which was that the pole wasnt pushed in all of the way and had nothing to do with the fact that it wasnt working from the get-go. The following day my employees returned a different piece of equipment and David told them to have me call him to discuss what happened earlier stating that he saw my review and wanted to offer me a discount if I removed the review. I decided to keep the review on here rather than getting a discount. He initially had a response to this review requesting that I contact him to resolve the issue and has since then changed his response to a bunch of lies. How pathetic!! And to top all of that off he charged unauthorized charges to my card 12 days later 2 different times for over $400 all because he is mad. Pretty sure thats illegal.The negatice review from M was not me either as he claims in the response to yet another bad review by a clearly unhappy customer.
Horribly outdated (especially for the high price) and nothing worked. The screen didnt work, the sound was never right, the microphone didnt work right. Waste of money, especially when they will not refund for giving us broken equipment.Update based on response: We know how to connect audio and video cables, still didnt work. But thanks for blaming us.

I brought my lawn mower in to be serviced for a broken wheel and self propel option in September under a warranty. I was told they had to order parts weeks passed so I called to check on it and I was told it would be a while they would call me. I heard nothing for months, finally I called in late April and I was told it was ready. I picked it up and 2 weeks later I was ready to cut the grass for the first time since being repaired. As soon as I started it I had things rattling off from the vibration. I noticed there were multiple screws missing, one being on the handle itself so it could not be pushed or pulled. I loaded my lawnmower up and took it back to the shop to show them what i noticed and they didnt even want to come out to look at it. The worker was soo busy pushing the blam onto me I was so upset I asked for the managers card (David Kostichka) and walked out. I called the next day and I got the same attitude from the manager. He informed me that our lawn mower was ready in Oct. but no one called. He said he did not know what I did to the lawn mower in the last 2 weeks must be my fault and was very smug about it. No customer service skills at all. I had to call the manufacture myself and order the parts, which were free because of the warranty.Very shady company. Do not trust them at all.

Front end conversations with the staff were very positive, unfortunately, the execution, service & quality of the materials were quite poor for the prices they charge. Worth it to explore options throughout the surrounding Sheboygan areas.
