Very happy I joined!!! Almost all of the staff is cheery each time we enter! They have funny or motivational signs up daily as you walk into the gym area. The manager makes it a point to recognize members and talk to them. He seems to genuinely appreciate clients! He also is right there working alongside his staff and seems to respect them. This location is spacious and very clean! And if a machine does break they are on top of getting it fixed quickly. Plus the numerous spa amenities are a definite plus!!!

I love the Shawnee Planet Fitness. Even though there are Planet Fitness locations closer to my home, I go to Shawnee for several reasons. It is so clean and bright there. The staff is really kind and work very hard to keep everything in great condition. The atmosphere is truly judgment-free.

They have a good variety of machines and weights to get a complete work out. They also have tanning beds that you rarely have to wait to use. There are chairs and tables that provide water pressure massages.

This is a great facility, I had a problem with my payment due to a fraud alert ony account and they let me keep coming until my account cleared and get my payment to them. Great customer service planet fitness thanks for your dedicated service and understanding

There is really only one male front desk attendant that has been kind to me. Every woman that works there has been rude, short and unwelcoming. I like coming here but I don’t care for more than half the staff that have been talking about customers more than once when I have walked into the gym. They laugh at people working out. It makes me feel uncomfortable hearing them talking about customers and not knowing what is being said behind my back as well. For a place that preaches “No Judgement” it sure seems judgmental. The gentleman that has black hair pulled back into a ponytail is the only person who has been kind and engaging or even greeted me.

The only thing I would like better was if yall were open later than 10 on the weekdays and 7 on the weekends. I get off work late and I go after work but other than that this place is great! Very clean and the people there are nice.

Been going here for a few years. Strict on Covid wearing masks(except while on the exercise machines). Exceptionally clean and staff are friendle & very helpful. Want to give a shoutout to Bailey(trainer). She is personable & very knowledgeable in her field. Love the variery of machines.

Love this place, especially the front desk! My card for drinks had expired and she gave me my g2 on the house! Also had no idea you could actually get ripped at pf. Not to brag but I have proved that it’s possible! I went from 31% body fat to 13% in 6 months all at pf! They have everything you need to get in the best shape of your life!

Always professional and whenever I have a question or need assistance they are there with positive feedback.

The gym I have attended for years has not yet re-opened after the shutdown. So, I signed up for Planet Fitness. Although it is a smaller gym without the amenities of a basketball court or swimming pool, for its specific purpose it is outstanding. The facility is immaculate and at least when I tend to go, not crowded. There are a few serious body builders in attendance but none of the obnoxious behaviors you find in some gyms. I highly recommend it. The price is VERY reasonable.

I enjoy going because all of the staff is very welcoming and pleasant! It is kept clean and the cleaning stations are always filled! I do believe the women’s bathrooms need to have the paper overlays for the toilets, especially with Covid and spreading of germs!!

Well kept gym. They are on the Silver Slippers access. A great place to keep your body moving. I dont see how for $10 a month dues you could buy you own equipment and keep it working. This place is a well kept bargin.

The staff is friendly. The size of this planet fitness compared to others is great. The gym it’s self is good for a planet fitness. I really hate the people who workout here. They don’t know how to share. I understand having a circuit, but using two cable pulls instead of moving the arm up and down is obnoxious, especially if it’s busy. Also if your doing a circuit you shouldn’t be using equipment far away from one another. This happens about 1 out of every 2 visits. Most of the people are very friendly, it just seems like the lack of gym edict is worse here then most gyms. I guess that makes sense though.

Clean, not terribly busy, actions taken to aid in social distancing, staff was nice.

Always a comfortable environment, and I am able to complete my workout on all of the equipment; not having to wait a long time just to use a treadmill or any equipment. Most of all I am able to bring a guess, which helps a lot when you need motivation to stay on track.

They didnt have the rowing machine at this location and that is what I like to start with to get my heart rate up and engage all my muscles. But the facility was pristine and the staff were very friendly.

Friendly and clean. Not crowded at all

We have been members for years at this location. We have really enjoyed it. However, with the pandemic they closed, and then opened with reduced hours. We joined a 24 hour gym because we can only work out at odd times, but after they agreed to hold off on charging our account until things returned to normal they have started charging our account again and will not respond to inquiries. We cant even get ahold of anyone to cancel our membership or discuss saving our membership.

Ive always had a great experience when visiting this location. When I walk in, I am greeted. If I need assistance, there is no problem locating a representative. Finally, when I finish my workout, I always get a courteous Thank you for coming in!.As far as Im concerned, this is an awesome location. Sometimes, it gets busy and machines get taken up, but the best part is all the machines actually work. If there are broken machine, the most Ive seen one broken for is maybe a week or two. Awesome service and staff here!

This fitness center is very fordable, but also is extremely clean and well-kept. All of the staff are very professional, and work hard to help you with whatever you’re working towards. Meeting with personal trainer is included in your $10 a month membership, what a deal! I was given a five week workout plan, and met with a personal trainer, and I’m now utilizing the plan to help me strengthen my core and reduce my back pain. I’ve also really enjoyed the fitness classes. There is a ton of equipment, and while the gym gets busy, it does not seem overcrowded, it is never dirty, and everyone is very friendly and polite.

I like that everyone is so friendly and helpful. The club is very clean. I love all the Black card perks. The price is great! It’s just overall a fantastic experience for me!

I love the availability of a huge variety of exercise equipment and especially areas for targeted training. This location is 24hrs so works great for my husband and I since we have totally different schedules. And I have definitely taken advantage of the massage chairs and the total body enhancement in the black card spa after a good workout. Definitely worth it!

Plenty of workout equipment available, even with social distancing gong on. The locker rooms are shut down but the restrooms are still open. Make sure you show up in your workout gear.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Everything started off great. Loved it here. But then yesterday(9-17-19) my monthly fee came out which I understand. But THEN an additional $28. I called to ask what it was and they told me to bring my bank statement to show them and they would refund my money. I get here and they tell me that can’t refund my money. The “assistant manager” Tiffany is no help at all and has an attitude problem. Shouldn’t hold the manager position name. Then my dad wanted to speak with her and she completely tried ignoring me. Took 10-15 to even come out the office. She saw me waiting for her and the other employees even called her. Looked at me and ignored me. Then tried walking passed me.

I love this place. Fees are good. Variety of machines and work out regimens. Then I like to hop into the massage lounger. Great way to cool down before I leave.

Great selection of equipment, training classes, and other amenities like tanning, hydromassage and regular massage chairs, they even have a red light therapy machine.

This location (Shawnee) is awesome. Staffed 24/7 and they are super helpful and friendly. The place is always clean and I like the layout. Its a great price for everything you get. After I moved I tried a different PF and was not impressed at all. I went in to Shawnee to cancel my membership thinking it would be a huge hassle and I was out within a few minutes. It was so easy and quick. I will definitely try planet fitness when I move again. I wish the people running shawnee were at every PF.

People at desk sometimes are not friendly. But most of the time they are very helpful and friendly. Added: I see your reply below. 19 days out of 20, your peeps are really awesome. But I have had like 4 times in the last year where they have snapped at me. I wish I could give you 4.5 stars.

I love the variety of equipment and the number of each. Im never waiting for one. The 30-minute workout is great for when my schedule is busy. The locker room and showers are clean and well-designed.

This is my local club and I have really enjoyed my membership. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is well kept. And Samm the trainer is awesome!

Its nice, but they are lacking some free weight equipment that has been traditional to gyms in the past. The judgment free zone slogan is also just downright strange.

Planet fitness is everything I can hope for it to be.

My base membership is at the Shawnee, Kansas Planet Fitness.The front desk staff is always available, and ready to answer questions as needed, day or night.I have the Black Card membership, which allows me to go to other Planet Fitness locations around the country on my travels, to bring a friend along, and to take advantage of the additional equipment such as the hydromassage tables or the red light therapy.I enjoy that you can have as much or as little structure as you desire, ranging from designing your own approach to exercise, or signing up for one on one or small group fitness classes, all included within your membership. I have also been in other gyms where there are time limits on various equipment items. This is not so here, for the majority of the gym.The only thing that I miss is access to a pool, sauna, or hot tub, not an options at this particular location.

Hardly ever have to wait for a machine because there area so many options. I feel comfortable there.....No judgements. The membership is very reasonable compared to other gyms with so much to offer.Love it!!

Can’t beat the place for the price. It has all the options to target each muscle groups. I’m not trying to become a body builder so it works great for my needs. If you are trying to slim down and tone up, then I recommend without hesitation.

After a good workout you go relax in the hydro massage lounge chairs or beds & you dont even hurt the next day. 😁Black card it all the way... Bring a friend. 😍

Clean. Bigger than it looks. Friendly staff. And the equipment is well maintained! Sketchy parking lot which isnt very lit but patrolled enough by police officers to make me comfortable. If you plan on going between 5 and 7 pm on a weekday. God bless you.

Tried to call and have my home gym changed since I moved out of state. Girl who answered the phone was completely clueless and had no idea how to do the transfer. When I asked what time I could call back to speak to someone who would know how to do it, she replied with you can just call back when youre ready. I explained to her that isnt a time specification and that I would rather speak to someone who knew what they were doing and that I didnt want to call back and sit on the phone for 10 minutes while they fumble around on the computer saying thats not it or Ive only done this a couple times. Its totally fine to just state that you are unclear on that process and to give a specific time to call back to speak with a manager who will be able to assist. I guess I would still give her props for trying, but I just dont have the time to wait around on the phone while you figure it out.

I love that I can go in during peak hours and find a machine or weights and get in a workout. The dedicated 30 minute full body workout or 12 minute ab sections are also great, but I wish they had a steam room.

It’s pretty much what you would expect from a Planet Fitness. The staff is usually really pleasant, they keep the gym clean, plenty of TV’s to watch and a bottle filler station. The best part is the place is open 24/7! I just wish they would get some better choices in machines.

I like the cleanliness of the gym. All associates are very friendly. The one thing I do notlike is the air temperature! It is freezing year round. In the winter I have to wear a jacket while working out. In the summer you freeze also. If that could be changed I would give you a 5.

Honestly, I like the different people use the gym, all shapes, sizes, and ages. I love that the girl who signed us up remembers us every time we come in and shes working. I love the 30 Minute Express Workout, because I can do it and then add a couple of other machines. Im so happy we signed up.

You get points for checking in that can be redeemed for vending type items. There are always plenty of treadmills, etc. available. Classes and new trainer are great!

The gym has a nice, clean setup. Members have access to free consultations to get workout routines tailored to their needs. The woman doing it took extra time out to show me the machines and help me understand which muscles to use. Seriously worth every dollar.

Had a great experience here today! The staff was friendly, they gave me a tour, and were willing to answer any questions that I had about the facility. The facility itself is organized and clean. I ended up becoming a black card member and dont regret it one bit! The hydromassage after my workout made me feel so relaxed, which is exactly what I needed. For being a college student and having to budget money, I would definitely recommend planet fitness!

I enjoy it here. They keep the locker rooms super clean, and the machines are well kept, thats all you need for a good experience for me.

No lockers no showers no service no wifi

This planet fitness is always clean and has plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, and machines. Even during peak hours there are still enough machines for everyone. The shower in bathroom areas also very clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

The tanning beds are awful. I purchased a black card for that reason, and it seems like they have not changed the bulbs in a year. I’ve tanned about 8 times now and barely even have a base tan. Not to mention if it’s been less than 24 hours even by an hour or two they will not let you tan. Which would make sense if they actually had good beds. DO NOT waste your money on a black card if that’s what you’re wanting it for. I’ll be downgrading tomorrow.

This place is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. As with most gyms in the area it gets really busy during peak hours. The great thing is everyone Ive seen at the gym politely wipes down the equipment after they use it and the gym has plenty of stations with paper towels, and cleaning spray.

This is a pretty good gym and with the price, its really hard to complain. I mean, you get basic and advanced workout equipment 24/7 with a nice and friendly staff for only $10. I dont think the black card membership is worth it but its better than 24 hour. I quit 24 hour to come to this one. One thing I really wish is that it had a swimming pool. Also, 99% of the machines are in great condition and ALL of show detailed instructions. This gym is perfect for beginners and people who would like to stay fit. The no-judge zone is a great idea and works... for the most part. There are no world class, intimidating weight lifters working out right next to you... ever. All in all, probably the best gym in this area for your average person.

The gym is working nicely. Great workout! Doing very well with Brendon as club Manager. And the rest of the pf team! I highly recommend the black card membership.

Honestly, this is one of the best PF gyms I’ve been to. It’s huge! Tons of space to lift, and tons of equipment. If you’re looking for a clean and welcoming atmosphere to get into fitness you’ll love it. I just wish PF in general had free weights. ONLY having a smith machine to do squats is a big let down :/ and free weights that only go up to around 60lbs on the bars. This gym would be perfect if it just had a little more equipment. If you’re looking for a more serious workout and more depth to your routine you may wanna try a different gym.

I loved this gym but my bank account got messed up and it had to be closed and you have to have automatic payments to be a member. I miss jamming to my music on my treadmill and then getting a massage after! They should make it a cash pay by the month for those of us who dont have checking accounts 😓
