I called for a quote on an alternator replacement and was given a quote. I called back few minutes later because I was wondering about the parts and labor warranty. I was told it was 12,000 or 12 months. I thought about how when you buy a part from the auto parts store it has a lifetime warranty so I started to ask about what the price would be if I brought in my own part so the part would have a lifetime warranty. When I started asking about bringing in my own part he interrupted me and said I wouldnt bring a steak to the Hereford House and then hung up...This company does not deserve anyones business if they are going to treat customers like that. I was simply asking a question. If they can not answer this simple question then it makes me wonder if this company can be trusted to correctly work on anyones vehicle and if they are using inferior parts but charging way to much. I will never go there and no one should.

On June 20th, our truck overheated. Took to Shawnee Auto Center. They repaired a hose and clamp and then tested to make sure no further damage was done. It passed. Yesterday, the hose and clamp came off while husband on highway. Truck overheats. Towed to Shawnee Auto center. They called today to say the hose and clamp came off and now head gasket is blown. I asked them how they can fix this problem since their work was not good. They suggested they put in a used motor for $4500+. Ummm.. their clamp and hose work FAILED and blew the head gasket. They pretty much said Oh well!

Great service! These guys are honest and fix what is needed. They offer a full range of services from oil changes to mechanical repair. You might pay a little more here than going to a smaller shop, but the quality work and friendly staff is worth the extra bucks.

Got me in right away in a Saturday afternoon. They looked busy and told me it would be an hour and a half. 15 minutes later they are showing me my air filter which was nasty. I replaced it, got the oil change and a tire rotation and was out if there in under an hour. I will be going here from now on.

We have been using Shawnee Auto since they first opened. My father and 3 brothers are auto mechanics in Minnesota.I always call one of them when my car has an issue to get an idea of what I might expect when I take it in as far as what the problem might be and what it should cost. I never tell the guys at Shawnee Auto what they say until after they make their assessment. It is always right on. Rountine maintenance is done right as well. Oil light popped on when I pulled into work this morning. I grabbed a couple quarts from a co-worker, poured them in and went to Shawnee Auto Center, basically because they were close and open. Actually, had to stop halfway there and call a tow since the 2 quarts basically went right through. Couldve been a lot of things; turns out it was just a drain plug. These guys were honest about what was a very inexpensive repair, were able to get me in in a pinch, and were friendly and professional. Highly recommended - Ill def be going back. Hopefully not too often!

I tried to save some money and do my own auto repair. Was halfway through the job, everything started going wrong due to old and seized parts, and I reached a point that I needed tools which I didnt possess. It was a Saturday, my usual shop was closed and I needed my car for the workweek and was in a bad spot. I called this shop and they completed my repair, with parts which I already bought, in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. They will now be my first choice in Shawnee!

Person came around with a coupon booklet for this place so we bought it and started going here to do oil changes, etc. When we started going there the guy at the front desk seemed miffed that we had a coupon for free service. When they replaced the wiper blades on my wifes car, they replaced the whole arm as well and they were crappy blades. When we went back to Honda to get good blades, Honda had to charge us for the original arms because the ones we got from these people wouldnt fit the blades made for the car. We didnt even finish using the coupons that we bought. This place isnt that great. We wont be going back.

I called and got a quote over the phone, towed my car and and began the waiting process. They had it done faster than I expected, my car runs great, and they charged me exactly what they quoted over the phone! That is such a rare quality in this industry and I really appreciate it!

Ive had my oil changed at Shawnee Auto Center a couple of times and they have never tried to needlessly upsell me like they do at Jiffy Lube. Based on that, I thought it would be a good place to get some brake work done. Dropped my car off overnight needing new pads and a new caliper and it was done by noon the next day. Talked to Ron, who gave me an honest and fair appraisal of what needed to be done. They got right to work and they were done by lunchtime. Excellent work, thank you!

My go-to service shop for all of my cars. How often can you give 5 stars to a service center or dealer for auto repair?

Shawnee Auto Center charged me for over twice the amount of time the job actually took (at $95 an hour). When I inquired about it the gentleman ringing me up immediately became loud and confrontational. He said that this is how they make their money. I understand that shops need to make money but I expect them to be fare and honest about what they charge.

Absolutely superb. They diagnosed a transmission issue on my vehicle for free, and recommended I take it to the dealer as it was under warranty. The dealer tried to screw me, blaming it on my custom exhaust. Shawnee Auto gave me a second opinion that contradicted the dealer, as well as advice on who to contact at the manufacturer to get this issue resolved.Ill be giving them all of my business in the future.

Went to have my oil changed, tires rotated, and new windshield wipers on a Friday evening (even had an appointment scheduled). Left when it was dark but found out that my tires were not rotated (and the air pressure wasnt even checked because I had to air them up the next day) and now have an oil leak in my truck that has never leaked. Took it back on a Sunday to have them do the work I paid for. Small amount of apologies, no partial refunds, nothing. Needless to say I will never be back again.

Amazing customer service!

I have been nothing but disappointed in the work that they have done. They improperly installed a serpentine belt which became damaged as a result and had to be replaced a little over a year after the service was initially done. Charged an arm and a leg to do a poor work.

Fixed a leaking tire and claimed it was a nail. Only to have the tire leak air in two weeks. Quick on service, low on value.

This is the worst place to take your car. Brought my wifes car for oil change, didnt put oil back in car. Started knocking of course they deny. Took my sons car for alignment, wasnt done right. Last time, my son took for oil change because its close even though told him not to. They changed oil and said he needed $1,700 worth of work. That included tires, took to another shop received new Hancock tires and new arm on left side a view other things. Only $682.00, will not even look at that place if I broke down in front of it.

Took my car in to assess the total cost of repairs- while debating wether or not to fix my POS, or purchase a new vehicle, I asked if I could leave my vehicle there while making my decision. I was assured this would not be an issue. I would check in every couple of day to make sure I was not being a nuisance leaving my vehicle there, again, I was assured here was no problem. When I made my decision to pick up my vehicle, the guy st the front counter seemed shocked because they couldnt find my car. No one could tell me anything, wether it was towed, stolen, etc. I filed a police report on a stolen vehicle and went almost a full month before I knew anything. I received a letter from a tow yard saying I owe $1,300 for a tow and a months worth or storage. I asked who authorized the tow/where it was towed from and they stated it was towed FROM THE AUTO CENTER. My car and personal belongings were rummaged through, things stolen, car was TRASHED. I was at least planning to salvage my car for a few hundred bucks, but the tow yard said they would not release the car to me without paying the balance owed of $1300. I Was lucky the police department spoke with the tow lot and let me get a few of my belongings out of the car. As far as the dealer, they in no way apologized, felt remorseful, did anything to fix the issue. I do not trust them & still have a bad taste in my mouth with how nonchalant the owner was about the actions of its shop/employees. In no way was I reimbursed for my car or hassle! Complete con artist stuff right there! A special thanks again guys!

Have taken cars there several times and always was told I needed significant repairs. After taking to another mechanic and him looking over the quote he assured me nothing was wrong with my vehicle I had no problems with the car either. I swore I would never go back.My daughter took her car in yesterday because, unknown to me, for an a/c blower repair. This should of cost about $100 with labor. She spent about $300 because they told her she needed a a/c recharge and 2 lbs of freon. The a/c was already blowing very cold air. When I called and questioned them they could not give me #s on what the temperature was blowing and they ended up hanging up on me from tough questioning on taking advantage of people.I would not recommend them to anyone.

My father would always take his vehicles here growing up. I do most the work on my cars myself but if I do have to take my car anywhere this is the place to go!

As a woman, it can unfortunately be hard to find a mechanic I can trust. Ive been bronging my cars to Shawnee Auto Center for about 10 years now. And even though I moved and its 20 mins away, I still bring my car there.

I called this place to get some prices on brakes . first the guy on the phone Was rude and spoke on the phone with an ego with bad attitude costumer service. I remained calmed and still went in. I will never go back to this place. They tried to charge me for fixing a part on my tire that they broke off while rotating them. They tried to call and tell me very nonchalant as if it was no big deal they were going to charge me extra. My family who lives near them also said they would never go to them again after that.
