I took my girlfriend to this place to get her AC fixed... 3 different times, and they failed to fix the issue all three times. Giving 2 stars because their customer service is good, but I need to warn people to at least not come to this place with AC issues. They wont be able to fix it.

Went to Christian brothers for a rattling in my front end back in April. They said it was a loose lower control arm, replaced it, aligned it, paid about $1100 and it still wasn’t fixed. Moved to Florida, took same car to a local shop, said it was the sway bar ends, easy to find and fix, cost me less than $100 to have them fix it. I was close to having another Christian brothers here near us look at it again but decided against it, and I am glad I did. I was debating posting this, but feel that in the automotive service industry it’s important to recognize when a shop does good work and when one doesn’t. In this one instance, I was sincerely disappointed. Great friendly crew, but let down by the actual work.

I went in for a basic oil change appointment and was impressed by the friendly, welcoming nature and the honest and professional service.Pete was very thorough in explaining each aspect of my visit, and I enjoyed the immediate feedback (with photos) on my inspection and the areas that needed addressed; along with what was in good working condition.The customer service experience at Christian Brothers Automotive in Shawnee is top notch, and I would recommend their services to anyone.

These folks did a great job of diagnosing and repairing my anti-lock braking system. It only costed $42 to make my van safe again. They also fixed the A/C so its much more cozy, too.

Everyone was very polite. Worked quickly to get the job done. Answered my questions politely. They had the option for me to be shuttled home while I waited for my car to be done. All around great experience.

I had taken my vehicle for oil change. The technician could not unscrew the oil drain bolt manually. They then tried to open the drain nut with some impact tools ( technician asked me to step away and he was wearing ear muffs while operating that tool. Some time later they brought the vehicle out and said that they could not remove the drain nut and hence could not do the oil change. They asked me to take it to the dealership.When I went to the dealer they inspected the vehicle and said that the oil pan was dented due to improper use of a impact tool. The oil pan now needs replacement !! When I checked back with Christian Bros they refused to take any responsibility for the damage done and kept insisting that the dealership that serviced the vehicle previously was responsible as they had over tightened the drain nut.This in my opinion is very poor customer service.

I have been taking my vehicles to CBA for over 10 years now. They have consistently provided excellent customer service... on time, only doing needed services, helpful communication, and giving us healthy automobiles. We will be here for a long time.

I am so grateful that they have a shuttle services. I have had to take advantage of the shuttle service several times. I appreciate that when I walk in they know who I am and call me by my name. That is a sign of excellent customer service.

I’m very pleased with the work done on my vehicle. They are Experts at vehicle repairs and maintenance. Christian Brothers always has a safe friendly environment and gets your vehicle in and keeps you informed throughout on what needs to be done and costs so you can be prepared. They are very reasonable and the best in this area. I won’t go anywhere else.

I got my car towed to Christian Brothers Auto on Friday night after a blow out on the Kansas turnpike. It stayed there over the weekend. When I finally got to it on Monday Scott came out to inspect the car with me and provided a game plan to get it back on the road. He went out of his way to make sure I got ONLY what I needed, picked up the tires from down the street because they weren’t in stock, reset the other back tire (it came off the rim in the process), and had my car ready to go by 6 pm that day. These guys went above and beyond to offer help at a really good price.

These professionals are the best. Second time I have been in dire need to have my 18 year old car repaired with them. They are so trustworthy and helpful. Truly a blessing to me.

Very good customer service so nice it makes you want to come back, I got an alignment and one of the techs left a $175 snap on ratchet under my car and it fell out while I was driving 😂 no damage was done and the ratchet was returned but if you use Christian Brothers you might just get a free snap on tool!

I was very pleased with how professional, Luis, the Service Advisor is. He worked me in from out of town. The mechanics did great work and timely. When I went to pick the car up, it was raining. Luis took the keys and brought my car as close to me as possible. A gentleman, too!We will return here for full automotive work.

Was driving someone elses car and the pipe from the engine came loose from the muffler and was dragging. This happened not far from Christian Brothers. Although very busy, they quickly rearranged client cars, got this one in to secure the pipe from dragging on the ground so I could deliver the car back to its owner for repairs. They did not charge me. Great business. Ill take my car to them in the future.

UPDATE: Christian Brothers reached out to me to resolve the situation. They replaced my fender liner free of charge. Scott was very nice throughout the entire process.I went to this shop and got all four brakes, rotors, and calipers replaced along with other services. Spent $3000 for my front drivers side fender liner to fall off in the middle of the highway. Save your money and go elsewhere!

I would rate them as exceptional, everyone I had contact with was friendly, courteous and helpful. This was the first time I had work done there, I will definately go back and would and will recommend to everyone.

Disclosure: I did not receive services from this business.However, I did spend a lengthy amount of time on the phone with one of their techs in regards to a problem my vehicle was having. The tech I spoke to was extremely kind, patient, very knowledgeable, and eager to help in any way he could. He asked multiple questions about how my car was behaving, what had already been done to try to diagnose/fix it, and any other info that might have been useful in coming to a solution. Ultimately, we determined that my best bet was to take my vehicle to a dealership where I could get brand specific expertise. This is something I truly appreciate and respect in customer service. When a company or representative can say, “I might be able to do that, but I think you’d get the best results elsewhere” that tells me that the customer is more important than the dollar. This is an upstanding company, and when I undoubtedly need service again someday in the future, I will be bringing my business here.

They really came through for me on my trip from Colorado to Michigan. My engine seized due to a recall I didnt know about and they did a quick look and found just that. They did not charge me at all for anything. It was a true blessing. Super nice crew at the Shawnee location. I literally couldnt have asked for better in my time of need.

I went in for an alignment with a vehicle that is not very hard to align because of its age, simplicity, and condition. When the employee asked me why I wanted an alignment, I told him I had just bought the truck, and it was lifted with bigger tires (33 diameter, 12 wide) so I figured the alignment was off a little. As soon as I said it was lifted, he questioned their ability to work on it, assuming it had giant tires. After I told him the tire size, which is not all that big, he said they probably couldnt fit their aligning clamps around the tires. I told him I have friends and family with MUCH wider tires that have come in for alignments, and they got their vehicles aligned there with no issues. He still refused to work on it. Since they charge people for alignments that have bigger tires than me, it makes me think that they either lied to me about their clamps not being able to fit or they dont really align vehicles with bigger tires but charge the people anyways. This was a BIG waste of my time, especially since I had to wait several days for this appointment and the next available appointment anywhere else was well over a week away. Not pleased at all with my experience!

Was told a price and when picked up they added on a few of $142.00 for a diagnosis fee. Normal repair shops are honest and include it in repair if repair is approved to fix.

Took great care of a friend of mine. I was impressed how they went the extra distance to keep her costs down! So I went there to have them work on my alternator. They worked with Car shield and got the job done quickly! Thanks to car shield the service only cost me my deductible! They worked along with my insurance and the job was done in less than a day. I have never in my 52 years ever had anything nice to say about a car repair shop... until now!This is a very true story! U ready for this??I took my Audi A5 in for a rear brake replacement. Dropped it off the night prior (they have a key drop), they called me the next day to ask me why I was getting the brakes replaced and that I didn’t need it done! I KNOW RIGHT!!!! Said no mechanic EVER!! But these guys did! They were honest and up front and we’re not going to do the work if it didn’t need to be done. I was so absolutely amazed I was ready to tell them to do something to it because now I wanted to give them my money! Haha ok that was a joke but anyway, they were absolutely amazing, professional, and very courteous. I asked them to give it the once over again and explained that there was squealing coming from the back. They called me back and said yes that on one side the inner brake was worn all the way down. They fixed it and was only half of the original quote.Love this place and they will have my business on ALL my cars from now on!!

I have had a problem with an oil leak that Luis noted on 3 separate occasions. Luis told me to take my car back to the dealer because it should be covered under warranty. I took my car to a Honda dealer twice and they told me it was fixed. On this last visit to Christian Brothers in Shawnee they provided me with the previous invoices and pictures to take to Honda. They totally went above and beyond to help me get this problem resolved.

While it’s never fun to have a major repair and see how much it’s going to cost due to the level of effort and fair cost of the major part, Bill was honest and kind throughout the whole process. He showed my husband the broken parts without hesitation to ease his mind that we had made the right decision to go with Christian Bros for this repair. If you have to spend a lot of money for a repair, your want to have faith that you went with an honest company.

Yes you called me and I was not available at the time. But I called you back, and I was told to wait, but nobody answered for 7 minutes. I gave you a one stare review because of the exaggerated cost of the work that was done to my Chevy Malibu 2008. Your mechanic replaced two low beam bulbs for the price of $230 Knowing that the new bulbs were provided by me i purchased them at AutoZone. I googled the usual cost of this kind of repairs. It turns around $160 the parts included.

An AWESOME experience!! Straight forward pricing. Was given a list of the problems with my vehicle and the order of importance so I knew exactly what should be fixed and what could wait and little things I could do myself. I had just finished some frame and body work on an older Toyota Tacoma and wanted it to be mechanically sound before I drove it back to my son in Arkansas. It would have been easy to take advantage of the situation because of the age of the truck but the list I received of pending repairs and pricing was very reasonable. If you need repairs... this is definitely the place to go!!!!! Thank you for all your professionalism.

Our experience at this location was phenomenal. We arrived a few minutes late to our appointment and they were totally understanding. They still got our car started right on time! As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with hello and good morning by every employee. When we turned our keys over, Luis took the time to ask what I wanted them to focus on and look into the most being that we were there for a courtesy inspection. After the inspection was finished they walked me through what they found and texted me the evaluation report along with PICTURES of what need to be repaired. I’ve never had any auto repair company do this and it ensured that they weren’t telling us unnecessary things that needed to be fixed to earn a quick buck. 100% recommend this place!! Also, you will not be looked down upon if you do not choose to get your repairs done there or during that same day. They are AMAZING!

Very courteous and were able to get my truck in and serviced faster than I expected. They discussed a few issues they found upon inspection and offered advice on what needs to be done and what can wait. No high pressure sales or unneeded work done. Their estimate on cost and time were both accurate. They treat you like a person and not just some Idiot with a car problem. If you are looking for a place you can trust I would recommend them.

So far so good with the brake job. They have a warranty of 30,000 miles or 3 years, whichever comes first and peoples, that you need to consider when you hear the price. I got a second opinion whod have done it for 1/2. I couldnt trust their guarantee.

It took them 2 hours for my oil change even though I was on time for my appointment, and I’ve never had an oil change take longer than 1 hour let alone 2 even with them looking into my check engine light. However, the staff was incredibly friendly which I did appreciate but I will not be back

I made an appointment for an oil change. I always expect to be told that there will be a long wait, but they were ready for me and the experience was pleasant waiting for the oil change. They also did a complementary auto fluid check for my vehicle as well as checked what maintenance was scheduled. Very professional and courteous staff. Everyone was treated as if they were a long time customer.

The staff is always friendly, and the work is always fair and honest. We started out going to them for oil changes and now call them for any kind of maintenance they are able to do.

Very respectful, extremely fair prices, incredibly quick work. Brought my car in with a bent tire rod and needing an alignment on Thursday; it was finished on Friday for a much lower cost than expected. Josh kept me updated the whole way, using easy to understand terminology.

If you don’t believe in God you will after you take your car to Christian brothers because there is no other place on earth like them. They are truly heaven sent! Super Friendly Repairs done fast and on time definitely recommend.

We didnt actually have them do the repairs because the vehicle issues were under warranty. But we were happy with the evaluation work up. Most of all I liked the environment, it seems like they do actually try to live up to a code of honor or respect. Im sure I would give them a 5 if we had more experience with their work.

Christian Brothers Automotive in Shawnee, KS saved the day and restored my faith in the automotive services industry. Long story short, I had taken the vehicle my 16 year old son will use as his primary transportation to another repair shop in Overland Park for what I thought would be a brake line repair. It ended up needing a bit more, but that OP shop also sent me multiple estimates for work that would total approximately $4,500. This is a 2003 Chev Impala.Thankfully the good folks at Christian Brothers gave this car an examination and was able to correct an error by the first shop, confirm the car DID NOT need extensive other repairs and my son has his transportation back. Im not pleased at all with my experience. I brought my car for a steering leak. They told my I had to change pretty much all the steering system for a $5500 repair. I checked the price for each part with the dealership part department and Christian Brothers were charging 2 to 3 times the cost the dealership have me. Bought the part I suspected was at fault for $200 and installed it in 2 hours. Car has no leaks and steering works perfect.

My review is of my experience near the end of November or first part of December 2017. I recently purchased four new tires from a tire store and there were coupons to Christian Brothers Automotive Shawnee. I took a coupon and planned to go there for an alignment. It took a couple of weeks and I made it there. There service was amazing, they took me to work and brought my car to me. These people understood and actually cared, on a personal level, of my situation (my husband had passed in October 2017 and we got a flat tire on our Subaru on the way out to the national cemetery. Subarus are 4 wheel drives, so we had to replace all four tires, this is after paying for a full funeral for my husband). Christian Brothers suggested new brakes and the turning of my rotors, which I did. They worked with me knowing all that I had been through and knowing that I needed those brakes (something that my husband was going to replace). It was a traumatic time for myself and my daughter, but it was good to know, honestly, there were people who were not trying to take advantage of me, who actually fixed the car, helped me get to work and delivered my car to me. God bless and keep all of these employees. I dont think they know who walks through those doors sometimes, but this time, it was me, and I am glad I did.

Christian Brothers Automotive in Shawnee is the only place Ill take our vehicles. They were able to accommodate me, on short notice, for an oil change and a tire patch - with text updates (that was helpful) as well as being able to pick me up to retrieve my vehicle. Very nice people and I am glad to find a place that feels like a small town shop. Thanks to everyone there for making it such a great experience. Customer service is top notch!!

Honest and car mechanic rarely go together, but they do at Christian Brothers. Here they treat you like a family member. Telling you what you need, should, and shouldnt do. They pass on selling you items you dont need and instead focus on building a relationship with their customers. They have courtesy car and a comfortable waiting room.

I went to the Shawnee, KS location to replace the tires on my car and have them mounted and balanced. I spent all of one hour total (max) until the job was complete. The staff was very friendly and the waiting area was also comfortable. I appreciate their quick and professional service.

I’ve consistently had amazing service at CBA for years, and today they continued to go above and beyond. I showed up for an appt that I thought was today but wasn’t actually for a couple weeks and they just went ahead and got me in, which was so kind. I know it’s hard to squeeze people in in service based industry and they were so nice and didn’t make me feel like an idiot! Great people & couldn’t recommend more.

I brought my sons car in and after having it for a day, they charged him 100$ dollars for an engine cleaning . When the car was picked up the SAME problem remained. My son is 17 and I feel they completely took advantage of him. We took it to another place and they fixed the problem

I liked everything. They are honest and friendly and they even love dogs! I even got a card in the mail, thanking me for doing business with them. I will always call them when something goes wrong with my car. They are family oriented and just down right good people. I cant say enough great things about them and their service!

Went in for a random check-up before a road trip. I was recommended close to 4K in repairs. I ended up spending 2K. After the work was completed my car was making a loud noise. I took it back and they quoted $750 to fix a part that was messed with during the original repair. I was also quoted 3 different prices for the same repair. One up front, one 30 minutes later, then one after I left. I think the front office works off commissions. There would be no other reason to say 800, then 650, then 400 dollars for the same repair. If you YouTube this it’s a pretty big problem with bigger auto repair shops these days. Good music and company name though.

These wonderful people helped a single lady like me to make big car decisions! They gave me quick and honest help and service on my car as well! In a digital world, they made me feel safe, loved and at home with real mechanics, who put the money last. Above and beyond care for sure!

They are very transparent. Not pushy about extra work, though do inform what needs to be fixed and what is optional. They provide pictures of all elements checked to show what doesn’t need fixed and what does. Very professional, courteous staff. Nice, clean waiting area.
