Joe has earned my trust as an honest and proficient master mechanic that will go out of his way to help keep my cars in their top condition! I’ve been going to Joe’s for almost two years now and he has been always been completely honest and transparent with all the work he has done with my 3 vehicles. His prices are very reasonable and always makes sure that I approve repairs before he starts work on them. He explains (and shows me) what kind of issues are a safety hazard that needs to be addressed right away and what can wait for a while, without any pressure or trying to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. He has always taken care of me and my cars and has always completed the repairs on time.I found his shop on a Google search after we were ran off the road near his location and our exhaust system was mangled. We limped into his shop, meeting for the first time, and he stopped everything he was doing to get us back on the road and fix the exhaust. Since then, he has fixed everything from brakes to exhaust to engine components. His integrity and customer service is second to none, and has a customer for life!

I took a car I was interested in buying into Joes General Auto. Joe was very personable. When he was done he walked me through everything he checked and showed me hands-on what was wrong with the car as well as parts of it that should be good for a long time to come. He explained things so well and it just made so much sense when he actually showed me the issues. He gave me a very reasonable quote for repairs if I decided to get them done with him.It was easy to get in and scheduled and just great customer service overall!

Very good guys in the shop. Friendly and work in a timely manner. They are very honest and do their best to not make the customer spend more than necessary by replacing unnecessary parts. They’ve worked on several of my vehicles and even when I don’t bring them in but do some work myself, they’re helpful and give me tips which saves me money also!

Joe is a top notch mechanic. I worked as a mechanic for a major chevy dealership in St. Paul MN. years ago and would compare Joes General Auto as good or better !! Up Front !!! Honest !!! Reliable !!! and by far FAIR IN COST !!! He replaced the entire engine and front end of my 1992 GMC Truck. Joe is amazing! I ran two plow trucks with my winter business and Joe saved my tail so many times! He works with integrity and never once did I feel like he was trying to upsell me a repair that I didn’t need. Joe’s General Auto is the mechanic I have been looking for.Joe replaced a catalytic converter on my car. As I set up the appointment and explained the problems I was experiencing, Joe was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and give me a “ballpark” estimate (crack in the manifold). After he diagnosed the problem, he gave me options on the parts and the delivery trade offs which saved me money. His labor rates are extremely competitive too.He is knowledgeable and honest.
