Mathnasium of Severna Park MD is Amazing! From the moment my daughter (13 yrs old, 7th gr) and I stepped in to check it out, we knew this was the perfect environment to help her succeed in Algebra this school year. The director Allison and her Team make sure every session is fun and engaging, my daughter always leaves with a smile and a positive attitude. Great customer service and worth the investment. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I have four children in your program. They are all enjoying the individual work pace and personal challenges. I appreciate the respect and kindness each receives. It is a fun, and peaceful environment to hone those skills that can sometimes, otherwise, cause tension in their acquisition. The STEM lab and math related games help to provide an air of fun to the place. My children see it as a privilege, rather than an obligation, and I am hoping that the feeling will carry into their classrooms when they can approach this subject with a greater degree of confidence.

I have nothing but great things to say about Mathnasium and it’s staff. One of my children used Mathnasium as an enhancement to math as the school math wasn’t challenging enough. My other child used Mathnasium to assist her in doing better with math. They were able to completely meet both of their needs and deal with them on the appropriate level. They are wonderful and I would recommend them without hesitation.

My daughter’s performance since attending mathnasium is a night and day comparison to when she wasn’t attending. The proof is in the pudding!

My Step-Son went to Mathnasium over the summer. Mathnasium is a great place to learn fast and easy methods for adding, subtracting, multiplying and division. A wonderful way to keep the kids on track during the summer and refresh their minds so that when school starts they are ready. Tackling the hard algebra problems so that he can understand it better and spend less time on each problem. It was worth the time and money.

My daughter has been attending Severna Park Mathnasium for more than two year. She was one of the first students when they opened. When she started studies at Mathnasium, she was struggling in Math and consistently falling behind other students. I think it was easy to get lost in the crowd at school; however, I knew that all she needed was a strong foundation. I needed to make Math enjoyable, rewarding, and at the same time engaging for her to bring out her confidence in the face of a challenge...and not something stressful. I researched the competition, as well as considering a private tutor. I found the method by which Mathnasium teaches even interesting to myself. I recall most things being taught by rote when I was the same age, so the mental math strategies taught I think open a different level of understanding to mathematical comprehension. The lessons are taught in small group settings, but practically 1-on-1. The card punch reward system for assignment completion where students save accumulated points to purchase toys, games, etc... is one of the things that my daughter loves the most. Mathnasium also coordinates lessons with my daughters Math teacher at school and makes sure her lessons are complimentary with the schools curriculum. So, flash forward to last week. My daughter again came home with a player of the day medallion for being first in Math lessons that day. Her grades are As and Bs...but most of all she is confident. She loves Math now.

My son started 2nd grade in September 2019. He struggled with math in the beginning of the school year. He didnt understand his math homework, and his quiz and test grades were not the best.He had no interest in math, and I grew frustrated because I did not know how to teach it to him in a way that he could understand. I feared he would feel lost and fall behind in class.In October, my husband and I registered him at Mathnasium of Severna Park for tutoring lessons. Since then, he has made leaps and bounds. He received his Report Card for the 2nd quarter, and I am proud to say he received As in Math!I attribute my sons success to the efforts of the instructors at Mathnasium of Severna Park. He is much more confident in learning about math. He doesnt mind completing his math homework, now. He looks forward to his visits at Mathnasium, and all of the Instructors greet him by name as soon as he enters the learning center. I highly recommend Mathnasium of Severna Park!

We had an awesome experience with Mathnasium! My daughter began the program with low confidence in her math abilities and it was starting to show in her math grades. Within one marking period, we saw major improvements in her confidence and grades after attending Mathnasium. She was really skeptical about going, but really liked the environment and the tutors in the program because (she told me) she felt like they really cared about her. Unlike almost all of the rest of her activities (which she chose to do!!), there was never any hesitation or complaint when it was time to go to the center--she loved it so much. She went from Cs to As in math and enjoyed the extra help from people that genuinely cared about her and her progress. I really liked that the staff was so communicative about her progress and always warm and friendly when we came in. Having the Friday hours during the school year was also really helpful, since every other night of the week gets so busy.

My daughter was scoring in the 4th percentile of her school until I started taking her to math so. Now she is in the 92nd percentile of her class. It has even helped with her english comprehension as well. The tutors are extremely friendly and kind and always find ways to make the kids understand what is being taught. I would strongly recommend it to any parent

We couldn’t be happier with Miss Abby and the team at Mathnasium!! Our son went from C’s in math to the honor roll after only 4 months at Mathnasium. What’s more... I even think he kind of likes math now! The summer STEM activities have been fun and educational and I think program will definitely help us avoid the summer slide this year!

The Mathnasium tutor working with my daughter has been excellent. He is very patient and does a great job explaining things to her and helping her to develop her mathematical abilities. She has shown steady progress in Calculus thanks to the tutoring she has received through Mathnasium. Thank you so much!

I cancelled our membership at the end of last school year (2018-19) and apparently when I did that - they just put us on hold. Again in Sept 2019 I got charged an apparently non-refundable tuition. $300 mistake.

My kids love Kurt and the crew! Their math grades and skills have improved (we use Mathnasium for math enrichment), and they enjoy their time there. The approach to math is learner-centered, individualized and tailored to meet each childs needs. We are now going to attend year-round!

Mathnasium is awesome but it doesnt focusing on stuff that we are learning this school year but it is fun and they work on homework and their own papers.

Its nice to have a talented math instructor like Kurt and co-workers. Our daughter has done very well using your math lesson plans. She will be taking the AACC placement test this week. Great job. Keep up the excellent work

We absolutely can not say enough good things about mathnasium. My 8 year old was struggling and crying to go to school every day, she got a D in math after normally having good grades. She started mathnasium and LOVES going there. It finally made sense to her. She begs to go in daily. She went from a D to an A in math on her report card! All thanks to Mathnasium.

Mathnasium is fantastic! They really cater to each students needs and have flexible schedules to accommodate busy schedules. I highly recommend Mathnasium for summer math enrichment or ongoing tutoring during the school year.
