All of the staff were very warm and inviting to my family even though I know our family was big and there was a lot of us taking part in setting our services up. My grandmother was the one casket in the building when the fire happened (5/25/2021). Im happy they all came out of the building fine and they made sure to save my grandmas body and some flowers as well. They let us take our time and made us feel comfort during this awful time.

Arthur was a tremendous help in coordinating services for my mom. The care and compassion that went into helping me in the worst days of my life were truly amazing. He even went further to ask how the burial was in Florida and help with the dissatisfaction I received from the funeral home there. Couldn’t have imagined a better experience at a terrible time. Thank you just isn’t enough!

My family lost my uncle about a month ago. Arthur guided my family through this emotional time, on a Sunday no less!! When he passed away I was also in another state. Due to COVID, I was unable to get to the funeral home right away. I cannot possibly put into words how stressful not being there was. Arthur made me feel so calm knowing he had everything taken care of. He was so kind & caring walking us through this difficult time. I unfortunately have been to Giove Funeral Home too many times to count but every time the entire Giove family have been so compassionate & sympathetic. My family and I have a long relationship with The Giove Family. Arthur and his staff are very caring, professional and personable. Our experience with them has always been excellent during such a difficult time. Recently with the passing of my brother. Arthur responded right away when I messaged him during the night. We lost my father during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic. Giove Funeral Home was the only one that would pick up my father from Queens. In fact Arthur sent someone there the night he passed, around 11pm to pick up my father. No other funeral home would. He made a very difficult and stressful situation less painful for me and my family. He is very kind and compassionate and kept me informed through the whole process and made it as easy as possible as he knew how hard it was on my family. I have already referred Giove Funeral Home to others that have lost their loved ones. I would 100% recommend Giove Funeral Home to anyone.

His kind and caring manor made a very upsetting situation easier on us. He Kept in contact and walked us what we needed to do once mom passed. When my father passed away 20 years ago, my mother called her cousin, Peter LoBrutto. Peter was owner and operator of the Astoria Funeral Home. My mother asked him to recommend a funeral home on Long Island. Peter recommended Giove Funeral Home as being one of the most professional and caring Funeral Homes in the business. He was certainly right in his recommendation. 20 years later and my mother sadly passed away this past May and I naturally called Giove. They are so caring and professional. I could not have asked for better service.

We recently lost my grandmother a month ago. Im still in complete shock over it, but nevertheless they made it beautiful. Every family member Ive lost has had their service at giove funeral home, but my grandmother was the first one that Ive lost so close to me. The Giove Funeral home and Arthur made the service beautiful. They took care of everyone that was crying. I put a video together for my grandma and Arthur helped me hook it up to the tv. Theyre very personable and they treat it as if its their family. They dont pressure you into doing anything to make money off you and they also check on you. I remember I was whaling and they were there and actually brought me tissues. They make it a point to be close to the service if you need anything instead of disappearing. They made my grandmother look beautiful and had a beautiful service for her at the creamotrium. I 100% recommend giove funeral home because they will take care of you and your loved one.

This review has taken me a while to post because how do you put absolute perfection into the correct words.. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ IN ITS ENTIRETY... On September 16th 2020 my family lost its most loved matriarch ROSALIE BARTNICKI.. She was our everything. She was the air we breathed, the fibers that held our family together and she was treasured by everyone.. In my heart there was only one person/place I would have the absolute full confidence in to give my beloved mother the services she earned.. Arthur Giove and the entire staff at The Giove Funeral Home was that place.. Arthur Giove isnt just one of the most highly respected gentlemen around he is full of absolute empathy and compassion and treats your passed loved one as if they were his own... When my mother passed Arthur was on vacation and when I tell you he called me atleast 20 times to make sure his trusted staff was doing the right thing for my family that would be an understatement.. The Giove staff did not try to pressure us into any unnecessary upgrades(meaning they werent looking to just make money off us, which most places will because at that moment you are so filled with grief you truly dont know which way is up, down or in-between).. The Giove staff spoke and EXPLAINED every step of the process that happens from the moment my mom passed (which most places just told us OH DONT WORRY ABOUT THAT). Again she was treated like a family member of their own.. We were not rushed or pressured about ANYTHING.. When the actual day came of her services I walked in and my heart skipped a beat.. My momma looked like a beautiful perfect Angel the exact way we want to remember her.. It truly hurts me too much to go into specifics but she was perfect.. In the evening session when the Deacon arrived to to give her a technical final blessing 🙏 it was as if he was having a private conversation with my dad and we all were eavesdropping. And everyone asked us if he was our family Deacon. ( my husband had only had a 5 minute talk with him before he spoke).. This gentleman spoke about my mom in the most beautiful way. (Again details make me cry so to say it was perfection again is an UNDERSTATEMENT).. TO SAY THAT WE WERE TREATED LIKE FAMILY ISNT A STRONG ENOUGH WORD.. On the final day we arrived at the funeral home and Arthur gave my mom the service she so deserved.. He also gave her the eloquent service she earned as our MATRIARCH at the crematorium. There are so many more beautiful things I can say about Arthur and the entire Giove staff but most of all what I will say is THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT I WOULD FULLY TRUST THEM TO GIVE ANY ONE OF MY LOVED ONES THE SERVICES THEY HAVE EARNED AND DESERVE.. THANK YOU AGAIN ❤️ ARTHUR AND THE ENTIRE GIOVE FAMILY AND STAFF....

When my mother passed away, there was no other choice but Giove Funeral Home. From the first phone call to picking up her cremation remains, the staff was so compassionate and accommodating. I remember as a little girl that Giove funeral home has been the only funeral home we contacted when family members had passed away. For over 30 years they have been there for our family. I am writing the review because I felt they needed to be recognized as an integral asset to our community. We recently needed services for my sister and good friend who passed away. Camille, Arthur Jr, and the staff were extremely helpful with all the arrangements. Their patience and support are a true to testament to the compassion and empathy they have for grieving families while honoring our loved ones with a beautiful goodbye.

Camille Giove Vernisie is a third-generation funeral home director. I met her professionally over ten years ago. At the time, she struck me as a very intelligent, highly motivated, and high-energy person. She was also down-to-earth and personable. I felt comfortable with her immediately.Recently, my mother became very ill very quickly, My dad who was overwhelmed by grief and worry asked me to prepare for my moms possible passing. I had never planned a funeral. I did not know anything about funerals, funeral homes, visitations, caskets, cemeteries, embalming, etc. Nothing. I needed someone that I could trust. I needed someone smart. I needed someone compassionate. I needed my mom to be treated with respect. I needed to feel that everything was going to be fine.I remembered Camille. I began looking for the thoughtful and smart lady whose family ran a funeral home nearby. After searching the internet, I found the red-haired funeral director lady that I met over a decade ago.My mom was laid to rest. Camille Giove Vernisie and the Giove family funeral home took care of my mom, my dad, and my family. They did it right. When my mom had passed away we had the funeral setup here and we will definitely go here again hopefully not soon though
