XL brokerage is a good insurance company for people who are just starting out and dont have the luxury of being put on their parents brand name full coverage. Or for people that have to be put in assigned risk because they dont have the driving experience or enough time built up having insurance under their own name. As long as you dont have a really bad driving record and a lot of points the rates are cheap and the payment plans are great they have 6 months or a full year or you can just pay it off and full if youd like for instance Im 41 male and at around 39 years old I had plenty of driving experience but my car is always insured under someone elses name due to other circumstances. Finally I put my own insurance in my own name and it was only 146 a month for 11 months with a $350 down payment. I ended up having two accidents in the first year now I paid 215 a year with a 500 down payment upon renewal. I only have two points on my license. Best believe if I get more points my my insurance will go up or have another accident. But I have been doing good and Im short my insurance will go down eventually. So I believe that its a pretty decent deal that I got. Other insurance agencies keep sending me quotes of higher than what Im paying and I tell them to go scratch Im happy where I am. Obviously eventually as I get more experience I would like to switch to a name brand company and get full coverage on my vehicles when I build up a better driving record. But this insurance company is perfect for what Im doing right now.All the people that work there are extremely nice especially the owner Joe. They always have great advice. You can make your payments over the phone or in person. (Credit card, debit card 5.00 fee) Cash or give them your bank account number and routing number and they will take it from there with no fee over the phone.
