This jeep tour was perfect and our tour guide CK made our experience beautiful. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he loved his job. He gave us great suggestions on other places to visit and ran into him again later in the day ! It was beautiful running into him. The checking in process was easy and the staff inside was pleasant as well. Thanks guys for a great experience! 🙌🏻
What an an amazing experience this was, we were taken on a jeep tour through the canyon there and up to Merry Go Round Rock. I’ll tell you right now if you get an opportunity to ride with Joe, do it! He’s got a great sense of humor and really knows his stuff. His passion and knowledge of the local area makes him and asset to their team and worth every penny for this tour! So when you’re looking for something rad to do in Sedona stop by and say Hi to Joe hold on tight it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!
My fiancée and I came to Sedona Az to get married. We didn’t know what drew us here, but we came. We heard about the energy vortex’s throughout Sedona Az and wanted to start our energy individually going into our marriage clear, strong, balanced and with purpose. We booked with Safari Jeep tours and were fortunate enough to get Nathan T. It was by far the best experience!! Nathan is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, kind, and beyond genuine. He was a Godsend as a tour guide for our experience. We were truly blessed to get him and his passion for Sedona Az. Attached are just a few photos of some spots he took us to. Very intimate and private was our tour. Highly recommended both tour agency and guide.
Our guide Dom was great! Very knowledgeable about a wide variety of things - geology, indigenous culture & history, Arizona history, local flora & fauna, and the vortex phenomenon - both geological and new age meditative practices. The ride was bumpy in an exciting way, we enjoyed it, but others on our tour had less fun, so know what youre getting into. We did the Mogollon Rim 2 hour tour, and saw several neat rocks and mountains, such as Eagle Rock & Munds Mountain. At the top of our tour, we got out and did a small hike to the top of Merry Go Round Rock, where we were able to take amazing pictures of the stunning panoramic vistas and our guide showed us the best photo ops & took some great pictures of us. We were originally going to go with another company, but our concierge steered is too this one because they are locally owned & more knowledgeable. Very fun time, highly recommend!
A great day for off roading nice and cool!! Lee our driver and tour guide is awesome, knowledgeable and the sweetest lady ever!! She not only had us bouncing around on the trail in full control but kept everyone well entertained with her stories and knowledge of the area. Lee took us to some great picture points and even had us on a peak in a valley which was absolutely gorgeous!!! This tour and Lee the tour guide are definitely worth the money!!! Also a fun fact is this company is the only family owned jeep tour company in Sedona the others are all corporate owned which to me feels so much more intimate knowing that Im helping provide to a family that is providing an awesome service for us. The Mogollum, dont quote the spelling, Rim Run was an awesome experience. Hit this place up cuz you will not be disappointed!!!
We did the 8am jeep adventure and it was 32 degrees outside and 17 degrees at the top so Joe ( the driver) recommended the 2 hour tour instead of the 3 hour one. He was awesome and very knowledgeable of the history of the area. The jeep was amazing and the suspension was very plush in the rough terrain. We will definitely becoming back for another tour and highly recommend Safari Jeep tours
Such a beautiful and fun ride, highly recommend Lee for your tour guide shes full of knowledge, and light hearted energy!
After much research on trying to pick a jeep tour I decided on Safari. We did the rim tour with Charlie who was awesome. He gave info about along the drive, but also asked us questions about our Sedona stay and gave great information we can use for future trips. Very pleased to pick this smaller business that gets the details rather then a larger corporation business. Price was very reasonable and we will come back.
I went on one of the Jeep tours this week. What a beautiful and amazing time. Our tour guide, Doc, was very knowledgeable and fun. Office staff a five stars as well.Chris H.
Wyatt was the best guide ever! My boyfriend and I really wanted to get deeper into some vortex energy but sadly the fires closed the main trails that are open to the public on our trip (we are praying for rain for you, Sedona!) we were lucky enough to get on this tour and visit a gorgeous and sacred Sherpa that had amazing vortex energy. Wyatt was so great at including everyone on our Jeep, regardless of everyone’s backgrounds and beliefs, and educated us a TON on the history of the town which we loved! My favorite was our moment of chanting OM together while sitting on the ground, and taking my shoes off and walking around the medicine wheel vortex energy. Wyatt was a killer tour guide, totally rocked the jokes (both cheesy and outright hilarious) and it made for a grand finale for our trip! Thanks again Wyatt!
We did 3 hr private tour with 4 of us. we were in one of the big Jeeps that holds 10 or more. CK was our guide and he impressed us with his knowledge. He took us to sites that were probably on the usual list and that was fine. Told us about the animals, vegetation, locals, mountains and history. We will go back and ask fir CK.
Safari Jeep Tours has all the right trails of various intensity at reasonable prices and awesome drivers to make for a very family fun, exciting and memorable experience. Both Deven and Doc are great! Highly recommend this to put on the - things to do list. Not to mention - Safari Jeep Tours is locally owned and operated.
5h3 views were amazing! And the tour guide, she knew all about the local wildlife, different types of snakes, the Indian dwellings and she was super cool! The jeeps front drivers side mud flap broke on the way back and was hanging against the tire, well with no tools to fix it, she was a real trooper and drove the jeep with the mud flap grinding on the tire until it broke off completely,😉 yeah that was fun. Then we saw a guy in a ford truck get stuck on the rocky trail ...haha,,, you need a four by four with a lift,, or a jeep, haha,, Californians for sure. Great adventure. I would do it again😉 💋
We went on a Safari Jeep tour for my husbands birthday and it was memorable!Moose was our tour guide and we got a private, customizable tour.Right off the bat, Moose announced this was our tour and we call the shots. We want it more bumpy; hed deliver. We want it less bumpy; hed deliver. We want him to back up and hit the big rock to cause my MIL to shout; Moose did it!Our first trail was, I believe, the 7 Canyons, followed by a couple Vortexes in town.Moose was super knowledgeable about the geography of Sedona, the pop culture in Sedona, as well as the spirituality aspect thats in Sedona.Of my group, Im the only one affected by the Vortexes and I get motion sickness but I never felt judged or pressured by our guide to ~participate. The heaters by our feet and blankets on board gave us warmth during a couple parts of the tour where, while in the shade the wind chill took us by surprise (hold on to your hats!).Bonus, the blankets made for a great dog bed for my exhausted puppy 😄.Highly recommend Moose!
Went on a sunset Vortex tour with my husband on 05/12/21 and it was one of the best memories Ive collected in my 58 years! Our tour guide was Doc and we had a group of 8. We were hoping for a Spiritual experience and Doc delivered. From the very beginning his respect was clear, not only for the folks in our group but for nature and life, itself.Doc took care to explain everything we saw and had an easy-going manner. Our group consisted of 4 couples and I believe everyone truly enjoyed themselves. It was a comfortable ride with such beautiful views! We had time for photos and Doc was more than willing to assist...so, naturally I had to have a pic of him, too!We did a few tours while visiting Sedona but this particular one was my favorite by far. I feel so fortunate to have shared this experience with such an open group and a Spiritual guide. Thanks, you guys!! 💞 It was Greatness!
We took a 3 hour Jeep tour and went up to Merry - go - round outside of Sedona, AZ. It was an exciting experience with a few bumps! C K was our driver, historian and guide. He did a great job and couldnt have been more pleased. I would not recommend this if you have back pain which I occassionally do - My wife and I came out good so hang on and go if you can! Im 71 to give you an idea. Hope this helps!
Wyatt was absolutely INCREDIBLE. It was by far the best tour guide experience I’ve ever had. He was entertaining, very knowledgeable, and had an awesome personality. His main goal was to make sure we had the best experience possible and he 100% succeeded! Highly recommend.
Wyatt was great… he knew his stuff! He was funny, professional and knowledgeable!! We would do it again! So worth it!!
Charlie was a seasoned & awesome tour guide. I had a blast. The only way we could of seen more was from the air. Highly recommend
This was a fun and great experience it was absolutely wonderful. The tour guides are awesome and funny I highly recommend the tour guide Wyatt!
CK did an awesome job on our Diamondback tour. It was very off road the majority of the tour, you have to secure all your belongings and you will absolutely need both hands to hold on. If you are wanting a more scenic take photos at every turn type of tour then I’d suggest going with the Rim Run Supreme or Mogollon Rim Run. I would have chosen those tours myself but they were not running the days/times we were in town. We very much enjoyed this tour and the adventure of off-roaring. CK stopped at several locations and made sure we got excellent photos. While we saw the sunset the timing of the tour didn’t align with a great spot to stop and take photos specifically of that. Again I think the rim tours mentioned above would be a better option for that. CK offered lots of great conversation and facts throughout this tour. I’d recommend sitting on the passenger side of the jeep, seemed to have better views from that angle without having to turn your head. If you sit at the back of the jeep on either side it is much more bumpy and more of a wild ride then sitting in the middle or front section. Highly recommend booking through this wonderfully locally owned small business - you will not regret it!
We went at the perfect time and saw one of the coolest sunsets. Our tour guide was Wyatt (Knowledgable, Funny, and chill), probably the best tour guides we’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend!
We were staying in Flagstaff, and booked this after looking at all of the other companies doing this same type of tour. Arizona Safari Tours are the only locally owned and operated Jeep tour place in Sedona. We arrived and checked in about 15 minutes prior, and waited to have our names called. We decided to do the 5:30 Mogollon Rim Off-Road Tour.Doc was our guide. He was amazing throughout! Funny, knowledgeable, great driver. He made the trip worth it!For what its worth, its bumpy. Like, really bumpy. Doc did remind everyone to let our bodies roll with everything, and that definitely helped. We got to see some incredible sights along the way, learn some things, and it was capped off by a view looking down into Sedona. It is a bit of a hike to get to the picture spot, so get yourself a walking stick. Doc was so kind, taking pictures with and for everyone. Hes an absolute treasure!I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
Easily the best tour in Sedona. They have a variety of offerings but we choose to do the Vortex tour. Doc, our guide, was very very good at allowing participants to form opinions and learn about the power of the vortices while also giving an array of great knowledge. If you are thinking about another tour, dont, these people are fantastic!
Wyatt was our tour guide and even though we experienced part of a monsoon this guy the best guide. Great personality, definitely bring the Grand kids.
Our tour was great. Our guide CK was very informative and lots of fun. I highly recommend it!
OMG! Lady at our resort check in desk said they were local and had a tendency to be a little less expensive. Took the archeology tour and our guide Charlie was great. Very knowledgable and considerate of our needs. Hike was low impact and the Indian ruins were very interesting. Definitely worth every cent.
Wyatt was an exceptional tour guide! We had an awesome time with him and our fellow tour friends. 😊 Highly recommend local tours!
Had an awesome 2 hour Outback tour with Wyatt who is informative and hilarious. Got the low-down on a lot of local businesses on the way out to tour the canyon, learned about rock formations, plants, wildlife, Sedona city history, stopped for some cool photos and canyon echos, and even drove through an incredible monsoon.Safari Jeep Tours is a locally owned business, so you’re supporting the local community by working with them! They will recommend some locally owned restaurants, juice bars, ATV rentals, and other things while you drive to/from your destination.
We went for the 9 a.m. outlaw tour. Our driver was awesome!! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. This was one the less rugged of tours. We chose this for our older parents. There was a short segment that was slightly more adventurous than they cared for but we all survived (although she did almost slide out of the back seat 🤣). Was about 3 hours long. Perfectly beautiful day!
Great tour. Very knowledgeable guide. Only hang up was a lot of his stories were trying to get us to question our beliefs and what weve been told all our lives. Lots of fun though would like to do it again one day.
My friend and I did the vortex experience. However, due to a fire burning close to Sedona a lot of hiking trails and tourist attractions were closed for safety reasons. But our tour guide Lee made the best of our experience. She was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Lee related to all 8 of us on that jeep. It was a pleasure to take the tour that lasted 2 1/2 hours with Lee our tour guide.
We enjoyed an outstanding jeep tour with Nathan as our tour guide. Highly recommend this tour service run by locals over the other tour groups.
Make sure you ask for J.C. He is knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his job and the environment around him. Our tour with him was 1000% better than we imagined. Our dog had a blast and he even stopped and showed us some unique flora and fossils along the way. Safari is hands down the best if youre looking for a great tour of the scenery and what Sedona has to offer!
We had a tour arranged by Diamond Resorts with Arizona Safari Tours. We saw Oak Creek Canyon. Beau was our guide. This tour is on paved roads so nothing rough. He was from California but lived in Sedona for 10 years. He was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed this tour. Its a local tour company. They had other tours available. I would take a tour with them again.
A Must do!!! Family owned and operated this tour is a must for all ages and family. We did the 2 hr off rim tour, extremely bouncy. Our 9yr old had the biggest smile on his face the entire time. Our tour had two other families, the kids all buddy up. Our guide Joe was fun, friendly, knowledgeable, great photographer, I cant say enough! The most fun we have had on our trip! Be advised anyone with back problems, recent surgeries should not go on this tour, we were bouncing all over the jeep.
I wish I could give this 10 PLUS STARS, it was amazing. A MUST DO!!! Brandt our tour guide was incredible, he gave us a ride of a lifetime off roading while informing us about the areas history. He showed us beautiful sights while giving us time to soak it all in, as he said its less about what you see and more about what you feel Relax, let it go, let it flow. There are really no words to describe just how good this was, you HAVE to experience it for yourself! ENJOY!!!!
CK was an excellent guide in our Mogollon Rim Run tour. It was Indiana Jones like, but we learned about the natural history of the area as well as seeing some breathtaking rock formations. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Rob was awesome!! Great tour great views fun ride :)
We had a great time with our tour guide Paul. What a sweet guy! Paul was friendly, funny, knowledgeable about the area, ecology, plant and wildlife. He took us places so many places with great phot opportunities and was an excellent photographer! We had so much fun! The sunset tour is definitely special. Bring a jacket, the temps were in the 60’s but got cold as the sun started to set.Ladies! Bring a hair tie or wear a hat, it’s an open air Jeep and your hair gets whipped around on the way in and out of town!
Im so happy I decided to do this tour. Our guide (Doc) was super friendly and knowledgeable. Being a traveling photographer I love to center my subjects around the place Im at. Doc being so invested in nature and conservation made him the subject of my Sedona trip. I highly recommend Safari since it is a local company that helps keep Sedona like Sedona.Much love and respect -Chelsea of The Bokeh LensFor more photos of this trip or if you were along for the ride and wanted to find your pictures visit me at thebokehlens.com
Doc was our guide and he was amazing, very knowledgeable and fun, we had a blast!! Highly recommend these guys!!
Great time and our tour guide was very informative! My kids, 17 and 20, had a good time as well!
Awesome experience!!! We took the MOGOLLON RIM RUN with guide /driver Shasta and had a blast! Highly recommend!! LOTS of bumps, but felt super safe. Don’t think twice...BOOK IT!!!
The views were incredible from start to finish. We picked the Mogollon Rim Run tour. Sarah was our driver/tour guide. She was very knowledgeable of the area, and got us up and down the mountain without issue :). The stop at the top was easily the best part. You get to hike around a bit and take fun pictures on the rocks. The ride was bumpy as advertised, which made it fun but not at all punishing. Our particular Jeep had heated seats even. Highly recommend this tour agency.
Our tour guide was awesome and entertaining. We will definitely do it again!
Your guide was impeccable with his knowledge of the area. Also had a unique view on local ufo lore. Very safe and recommend the sunset viewpoint tour. A little bumpy so sit in the back!
We took the two hour Mogollon rim tour with Dom as our driver and guide. The scenery was spectacular and well worth cost and the jostling around in the jeep. We hiked up to the top of Merry-go-round rock and he was willing and proficient in taking pictures of us with the rocks in the background. The trip back down turned into a little bit more of a vortex energy lecture than I really wanted, but I suppose considering the area a lot of his guests really believe this nonsense and appreciate his take on things.
This experience was the best in my lifetime!! Ask for Captain Jack and the sundown vortex tour. I didnt expect anything but a tour but came back with so much knowledge both scientific and cultural, and actually had a spiritual experience (Ive probably had maybe 3 in my 61 years) and peace and calm in my mind and things I experienced, I cant even put words to and my hubby, too!! Thanks so much to Safari Tours and Captain Jack 💗💗💗💗 My husband and I will NEVER forget this!!
We had so much fun our guide Paul was very knowledgeable and share his personal experiences. We took the adventure tour be aware that when they say bumpy they are not kidding but that was part of what made it fun. I would not recommend to anyone with back problems or if you get motion sick take some bonnie before you go. We got some great pics of the canyon and got to go places we would never have brought our own car. I would recommend!!!
This tour was awesome! Kevin our driver was phenomenal. I really enjoyed his presence and vibes he shared! The views were amazing and the drive was bumpy of course but I felt safe the entire time! Thanks Kevin for all the facts you shared and the laughs!
Bo was great. Talked about all things energy. Very informative. He really likes sharing his knowledge. Knows the area well.
Enjoyed our tour and driver !Loved the history information. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of this area!
This was a great tour! Everyone voted top 3 favorite memories from spring break on our way home and this was in everyones. Joe was The Best guide, very friendly, personable and got everyone involved. Highly recommend Safari Jeep Tours!!
We did the sunset tour and our tour guide, Deven, was amazing! He was very witty (which we loved). He knew a lot about the land and was able to tell us good places to hike. Gave us a lot of recommendations for local food (which we loved since we’re from out of town). We also got some amazing pictures of the sunset and of us(thanks to Deven). Overall would love to do the Outlaw tour one day when we come back and visit!
Moose was a great guide. He was very cordial and friendly. He was a great driver as well. Ive been 4-wheeling for decades and he did awesome. My only complaint (and reduced star) is the trip we took I would not consider an easy or light ride, as the website indicated. It was very bumpy and not for those with ailments or injuries. It did not bother me, but the grandparents in my party were tossed around pretty severely at times.
Such a great time, ask for Doc as your driver! A very knowledgeable and experienced driver, chose his lines well and got us home in one piece. Price was fair and the tour departed on time. The driver had ponchos and blankets available for use since it was brisk and sprinkling, just awesome. The whole drive up Doc told us stories of historical events that happened long ago on the same trail. Once we hit the top of the trail, we stopped for about 20 minutes to take photos and have a look as some of the natural formations around the valley. Doc was even nice enough to take photos for everyone. Thanks again for such a great experience, well be back soon!
We selected the Outback tour and got a ride on an extended Jeep. We were fortunate to have John as our tour guide. He was informative and made the tour interesting by providing tidbits of information along the way. John made sure everyone was buckled during the tour for safety. Highly recommended.
We had a great tour of the Sedona canyons, trails, Red Rock and Mogollan Rim. David is such an AWSOME guide. Very knowlegable of the area and provided a lot of little know facts of Sedona and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend this jeep tour and if should definelty request David for an up most experience.
I booked two tours with the company. The first was the jeep tour through the Mogollon rim run and Oak Creek Canyon both amazingly scenic. I went in late December and the snow made an amazing contrast with the red rocks. So beautiful! The tour guide Bo was knowledgeable, entertaining, friendly, and g Ac e great suggestions on where to grab a bite afterwards. Would definitely recommend doing a tour and having Bo. He shared some of his personal stories along the way which was also really nice. The second tour I did was the Grand canyon tour. We were picked up in a Shuttle not a jeep but had the best guide on this as well, Chad. He was so knowledgeable about the landscape, geology, history, culture...you name it. I loved how he encorporated stopping by at a native American jewellery trading post where we could buy directly from Naomi. We also at the infamous Cameron Trading post, I had the Navajo Taco, the bread was delicious! We also stopped at a native American ruin pueblo along the way. The tour started at 7.45 am to 9pm depending on where they pick you up or drop you off. We were stuck in traffic for three of those hours on our way back home and Chad kept us informed all the way, told us some native American folklore stories, Votexs, and even had the whole bus sing - felt like a real road trip to the outback. He loved answering questions and engaging with the group even answered some questions by people who werent part of the tour at the GC. Great guy very personable. Even dropped me off at Flagstaff for the next leg of my trip and helped me out with an issue I had there. Chad went over and beyond and made the whole experience very memorable! Thank you!
We had a great deal. Our driver was fun and entertaining we had great views.
What a wonderful experience! We hike regularly in Sedona, and never thought we would do a jeep tour. Wow Im glad we did! We saw things we never would have seen, learned many things about Sedona we wouldnt have learned on our own, and had a blast! Such beautiful things we saw! Doc was an incredible tour guide! Highly recommend!
Wyatt was a very informative and fun guide! We enjoyed our time with him and the history of Sedona. Would love to come again for my daughters birthday in July!
The driver we had that day was really nice and informative loved it.
Our guide Dave was AMAZING we had a 10 day tour and stayed in Sedona 2 nights and he made it so fun. I highly recommend this company and him. We will be back.. Thank you so much for a wonderful memory
Great tour guide. We did sunset tour and went deep into the canyons. A lot of wonderful views and photo ops. Very reasonably priced and guide gave a lot of history.
We purchased our tickets online about two weeks in advance. Expecting to ride with just us and the driver. We arrived early for a 5:30p excursion. When time came for boarding we learned that NO social distancing was going to happen. We shared our concerns with the driver who directed us to speak with I guess the manager. There were two in our group, four in another group and three in another group...yes nine people in a little jeep, and Im on the fluffy side.Well we spoke with the manager about social distancing and he asked if we purchased our tix thru them or a third party, we did a third party. I said what difference did it make, his position was that they are not responsible for third party language which I found disingenuous. I said your third party and the company should ensure accurate information is provicded on both sides, not the consumer.A person in the group of four spoke up saying they too expected their group to ride alone because of social distancing. I have attached pix of the jeep used, its the smallest jeep on the left. How can nine adult sized people fit? When it was all said and done we did not go, the others went and we requested a refund. The manager was understanding of our position to practice social distancing. He frankly said that they recently reopened from the COVID shut down and trying to recoup lost revenue. Good people, at the expense of our health...smh. Safari all money isnt good money.PINK Jeep Tours was next door to Safari and as we were leaving we stopped and spoke with an associate. She was nice and told us their office was a short walk away and they only housed their jeeps at that location. We went to their office and made a reservation for two a day later. PINK did not charge extra to take out a group of two. The company practice social distancing, the driver wore a mask and we had a great tour. You can choose from several tours, we chose an archeology tour and the sunset was pretty.
What a great way to start a Sedona trip. Our guide Don was well-informed, kind, attentive and warm. Felt individualized, not cookie-cutter.
Deven was a great guide! The views were spectacular and we took some beautiful pictures. We will definitely take another tour with them.
Great tour, great tour guide, well worth cost
Wyatt was amazing. The views were breathtaking !!
JC was very informed guide on vortexes as well as the culture that lived in the area.
Fantastic your guide. She knew so many amazing facts about each vottex we didnt get to visit. I would definitely use them and her again to tour these other vortex areas. She made them sound so interesting.
JC made us feel special. Our trip was fantastic and our guide JC made it incredibly special for us. I guess due to a group not showing up or something it was just me and my girlfriend on the tour. because of that we had a lot of flexibility so far as how much time we spent in different places. JC was a wealth of knowledge about history and culture. It was one of the best tours Ive ever been on. We were able to stop and take some fantastic pictures along the way. I would highly recommend taking any of these tours. The staff is extremely friendly and very professional. The vehicles are well-maintained even though some of the roads AR extreme. We enjoyed every minute of the trek. Thank you very much JC for making our day perfect. We will come and see you the next time were in Sedona.
