Excellent experience. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We are not experienced ATV users but the staff thoroughly explained the operation of the vehicle AND made us feel vary comfortable. We used their services twice the same week and would not have it any other way. Thank You Red Rock staff you ROCK.
The staff was very friendly and the rental was pretty nice! They recommend that you do one specific trail (Schnebly) which is a great trail with awesome views; however, its important to note that there wasnt another trail option provided so Im uncertain if this is their only approved trail or not. If youve never been on this trail though, highly recommend you take this route, you will not regret it! [This photo is from the trail - even on an overcast/stormy day, it was gorgeous]
Extremely good customer service. Super understanding. Unbelievably fun. They explained exactly where the trails are and how to get to them using a map and using a flip book with pictures of where to turn. They made it as easy as it can be to get from one trail to another. The trails where super fun and the highlight of my trip!
It was so much fun. You really get up close with the beauty of Sedona. We took tons of great pictures.
This was a highlight of our trip. Even with two trails closed due to the weather we had an absolute blast. The staff at Red Rocks ATV was friendly and flexible. They gave us an extra 15 minutes due to fixing a head light right before we went out and also didn’t require us to clean the ATVs upon return despite being pretty muddy. The only thing I would recommend is better trail maps as one of the maps was on a piece of paper that was incredibly pixelated and eventually unreadable and useless after attempting to make sense of it a few times while it was snowing. And, laminating would help too. Otherwise, they seemed fair on price, etc. We would definitely do this again via Red Rocks ATV.
Great folks. Very efficient check in process. The UTVs were high quality and rugged.
It was an absolutely awesome time!! Great people. Everything was explained very well. Easy to operate. Very safe. Loved the cooler packed with ice cold water. Easy to navigate with digital map and picture cards of landmarks along the trails. Trails were great, some easy and flat, definitely got the full off road experience, and one portion of the trail very challenging, but doable and quite exhilarating after getting through and over the obstacle. Especially liked the fact my 19 year old could drive. He did an awesome job driving and had the time of his life, as did the entire family!! Yes, we were a family of five in an ATV for six.. Overall amazing experience and would highly recommend Red Rock ATV to everyone!!
Great place to rent from. People are very friendly. Their top of line two seater is a literal rocket 🚀 that will take you pretty much anywhere in Sedona.
Friendley staff, easy check in, detailed directions to trails well worth the cost
The Ultimate Pro was the way to go for a half day rental! Plenty of throttle to trek up the climbs in the more steep trails and the 2.5 Fox shocks offered a ton of capability and comfort when going through rocky portions and stairs teeming up and down elevation, especially with its easy electric activation. Highly recommend this group, the price was great, equipment was top knotch, and the staff was very very friendly!
Was a little nervous to head out miles in the desert on our own with only trail names and a map but like they assured us, the course they laid out connecting trails and roads was easy to navigate. That was a great experience. Only problem was the ruin site we were expecting to hike to as part of the journey was closed due to excessive heat. Maybe next time.
The experience was amazing! When you first walk in the staff memebers greet you and are extremely friendly. We did a half day rental and got to experience 2 different trails. The ONLY reason I am not giving 5 stars was because of the response we got when returning the vehicles. Last night there was a flash flood and it was torrential downpour all day. So naturally the dirt trails are all flooded with giant puddles. We tried avoiding the puddles as much as we could, but they were EVERYWHERE and very deep. So the vehicles came back very muddy as a result. The outside staff members were really annoyed with us even though it wasnt our fault. However, the inside staff were just as friendly to us when we returned as they were when we first arrived. I would definitely reccomend this place... just dont go after a big rain storm.
Called to try to book a tour for our time in Sedona and unfortunately they were all booked. However, after speaking with Daryl, we will be making a trip back just to get a chance to go on a tour with him! The conversation was so awesome, I just had to leave a review. Keep being awesome, Daryl!
Awesome experience! Staff was friendly and had very detailed maps for trails to ensure you didnt get lost. The ATVs were sooooo much fun. Get the tire insurance so you can tear up the rocky trails without worry 😊
I was hesitant to rent one of these RAZRS because of the high deposit requirement. I also felt like I was going to be responsible for something upon return, even though I planned on driving responsibly during the rental period. Did it anyway and had a blast. Drove up Schnebly hill road all the way up to I17, Morgan road, and past downtown Sedona to the dairy queen, all within 4 hours time, even stopped to get fudge downtown. Had the music blasting the entire time and got multiple thumbs up from random people because they saw we were having fun. I will do this again.
Friendly staff, good ATVs and properly organized. At first, I thought the paper directions were a bit outdated, but turned out very handy: they took pictures to show turn by turn instructions making it easy to navigate. A tablet is also provided for trail maps. We rented the Polaris RAZR 4 seater and it was good for a 4 hours ride.
Great company...well kept SxS in good condition. Very friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again and recommend to friends and family and anyone else. Honest!
Really fun way to explore and experience beautiful Sedona landscapes. Staff is so friendly and helpful start to finish. Trails are loads of fun and well marked. GPS mapping (included) made sure we never got lost. Complimentary water iced in a cooler provided...Red Rocks is happy to provide more water bottles in your cooler if requested on those really hot days. We rented ATVs before. Also great fun, but Red Rocks Staff made the experience even better. Thx Red Rocks!!!
Great time! Fun trail laid out and easy to follow. The photo book really helped! Stop by the Indian ruins. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for another adventure! Thanks RR ATV!
This experience was amazing! Great staff and very thorough explanation of where you will be going and how to get there. It is well worth it. Do this now!
So freaking fun!!! Add that to your list of must dos in Sedona for sure. Great company and staff!!
We had an amazing time on the trails. So fun!!The staff was so helpful and friendly especially Casey and Autumn. Would highly recommend making this a part of your trip.
Great service, waitress was awesome. Margerita was ok
Excellent equipment and great customer service. Very helpful with maps and showing you where to go. Awesome experience!!
Right away they seemed rushed and were half annoyed we were there. The instructions for the Atv itself and the trails were so vague. They gave us this old flip book as a map, and pretty much sent us on our way! We felt like we had no idea where we were going. No parking. When we got a space it was blocked in by other ATVs. So had to wait another 15 minutes to leave. For as much as we pay, they could have acted like they liked their customers. Disappointed in the service . Do not recommend.
Easy to use and set up rentals. map and directions made it no problem for newbies to the area!
It was fine. The people working were very nice - we showed up late for our time and they got us out quickly. We booked online last minute, when we showed up we were told there was just one trail open. Seriously question the fact that an ATV rental has a fee for the ATV being “too dirty” when returned (we didn’t incur the fee, but the fact it exists is a travesty). We were also encouraged to get tire insurance - seems a little excessive as well. We had a five hour rental with one trail open, and were told before the ride that we could return early for a discount. We received a $22 discount for our $750 rental after returning an hour and a half early. We had a good time, but certainly wouldn’t recommend given the price and overall experience.
We had a blast!! Trails were a lot of fun! Highly suggest doing this if youre considering. Although we only did the half day we couldve easily done a full day. 👍🏻👍🏻
Good time. Worth the price. The ride is perfect with just enough challenge and some great scenery.
This place was awesome! Great service - friendly and knowledge staff. We rented a 4 seat RZR and it was perfect. They sent us out with a map with pictures and a GPS. Our entire family, including our 4 year old twins, loved it and had a great time. The path was rocky and adventurous, yet safe. Will definitely do this again!
Great customer service and quality products!!!
Comparable rates, good staff, nice app with map for mobile devices.
Dropped in without a reservation about 11:00 a.m. to ask some questions. Decided to go for it. They gave us a trail map and a photo book that kept us on track. And they also had an iPad GPS that we could check to make sure we were on the correct trail. They gave us some basic instructions on the ATV and we were off. This was a blast. Best day of our Sedona trip.
Super fun and great set up..
Lots of fun, and their maps/trails are really great
The ladies up front were very helpful. The map is very easy to follow, it was a lot of fun and very reasonably priced.
Me and a couple buddies went out for the day with a 4-wheeler and a two seater buggy. Was some of the best fun Ive ever had. It started to rain within our first ten minutes of riding but dissipated quickly which made for a nice cool ride all day. First trail they send you to on a half day ride is great and mostly flat and easily maneuverable. It offers some great views of Lincoln Canyon. The second trail up to Schnelby hill was crazy rough but the view at the top was worth it. Would very much so recommend.
Avoid if possible. We rented a 4 seater razr which totaled $458.00, which is spendy but understandable. BUT during our ride the passenger door wouldn’t stay shut. Every bump you hit the door would fly open which is a terrible safety issue. We ended up ending our trail ride two hours early due to the safety of the passenger. When we got back and returned it they said they would work something out... when we went to pay they offered us a whopping 30$ back... 30$ out of 458$ when the time was cut two hours short is absolutely unreal. There response was “we owe Polaris a cut” well Polaris owes safety to its riders and if they can’t offer that then they need to offer a better refund. 10/10 recommend not using red rock atv rentals. I will say they were great when we had a mishap and had to change from a 6 seater to a 4 seater.
Disappointed that we rented 4 ATVs for our family vacation and one of them broke down (shredded belt) with an hour left. We had called the company and it took over an hour to come get us (we were only 20 minutes from them). When we returned the rental we were not offered any money back for the hour that we didnt get to ride. When I called and spoke to the manager she was suppose to call back when the guy got back with the broken down ATV (gosh that was 6 days ago sure hope he made it back). I just feel that we should have received money for the one ATV since it wasnt our fault that it broke down.
Great time! This company is owned by the main atv company in town and is a well run place. The 4 hour rental is awesome and takes you through some great trails outside of Sedona. There are stops at ancient indigenous ruins and open drives through beautiful desert valleys.Rentals are well maintained and run really well!Wish they had full helmets. Dust can be bad if your behind a jeep or other atv. Best to stay back from others on the trail.
Super fun day out! Definitely worth it
Quick painless checkout and check in. Excellent service from all of the staff!
**i would like to ammend this review slightly and say they did get back with us and refund the hour that we lost AFTER a few of us wrote reviews. Regardless they did it. Still charged $3,000 for damages we know didnt cost that much**I would have rated this place higher but unfortunately they did not, in the end treat us with respect. We rented 4 of there Polaris side by sides with a group of 12 people. 1 of our group members vehicle broke down and they still had an hour left to ride. They waited over an hour to receive someone up to there location in the cold and rain after calling and letting this place know. The mechanic that came up to get them told them to drive his back down. He never stated to go drive around for an hour. When my mom called after the group returned they told her that the mechanic should have told them to go drive for an hour and she explained that they didnt and wanted a refund for the hour they lost. They were very rude on the phone and also said we will call you back. Its been 5 days and we have not received a return call. The amount of money spent at this place and you cant refund an hour of lost time because of YOUR vehicles problems is not a good business model. We also had someone in the group tip the one side by side up on its side, which yes we understand the rules but there was minimal damage/to no damage and they charged him $3000. A BRAND NEW Polaris, same brand and kind with 0 miles is $15,000. No way that there was $3,000 worth of damage. He was honest, telling them he tipped it. He didnt roll it, just tipped and its on video. Just beware that when you rent whether you tip, roll or anything they charge you $3,000.Just not really impressed with this business as we received no call back for the hour lost and the girl, Sarah was very rude on the phone.
SUPER BUST/DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! We planned our family get away to Sedona from out of town and booked/paid for a half day ride on an ATV through Red Rock ATV well in advance. We arrived to the business with two kiddos who have been so excited for this ride for over a week, literally since we told them about it. We stepped into the building to check in, and was quickly asked to then ‘step outside until someone invites you in’ I guess because of covid? We were all masked, I totally get COVID distancing but there is a more professional way to approach that. That was the first thing that rubbed me wrong. My family and I stood outside by the door until we were ‘invited’ in for our reservation check in and mind you it’s past our reservation time, not because we were late but because they were behind. We signed their financial agreement, got helmets, goggles, maps, and the directions from the employee. They asked us to hold a minute while they pull up our rental. Cool, meantime we’re getting the helmet and googles on the kids and reviewing the map.... then the man comes up to us and says uhhh so folks it will be a bit of a delay, it appears the last family left with your rental. Hold on, I’ll figure this out.... so we wait outside, we are thinking we can just get another one.. no biggie. Well turns out they had no more to give us. I went into the building to see what’s happening since we were left outside, no one came back to tell us anything with time running well into our riding time that was already paid for in advance. They began to explain how they DOUBLE BOOKED our rental accidentally and they have no more for the day. We planned our whole day around this ride and it didn’t even happen. When I asked if we will be refunded the lady responded ‘probably’.... mmmm no, I WILL be refunded as I paid for a service in advance for something I didn’t receive which was a mess up on their end, not ours. When my husband began to also request a refund they got very short and disrespectful. We eventually did receive a refund, but seriously they were very unprofessional, not apologetic at all for ruining our plans/day that we had arranged and didn’t do anything to make it right. We left with disappointed kids, shoot my husband and I were super bummed too, we were all looking forward to this ride. But seriously super unprofessional. I would have even been less upset if they had just handled And approached us with more respect/took accountability but they didn’t and so for those reasons I wouldn’t recommend this company. There are so many other options for atv rentals within walking distance that unfortunately for us we’re already booked when I tried to find another ride for us with such late notice. It seriously ruined our day/plans. Save your days/plans and go with a more professional company that wouldn’t double book a ride and leave you with no ride and then hassle you for a refund... they wanted us to put money on store credit (gift certificate) so we could book another time but I was too turned off by their UNprofessionalism I didn’t want my money to stay with that company. WASTE OF TIME!
Had a great time and enjoyed our day! Make sure to pack a lunch for an all day adventure!
Had a fantastic time! And the 5 stars isnt for that... the company and people are great. Will definitely rent from them again!
Went out and the terrain is super rough and if you tip it will cost you $3000 no matter how bad it is! They say they only charge you for the parts and plastic that are damaged but they rack on a bunch of other fees and charge you for how many days it’s down. My bill for parts that were broke was a little over $1000 but because of the other fees I had to pay $3000. Which is stealing in my eyes.
This was a fun experience! The gal who checked us in was knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to swap vehicles for us last-minute, which was a great thing so one of us could drive and the other could navigate! Also, when the guy showing us into the vehicle disappeared she came out to help us with the seats and seat belts - much appreciated! The little flip book was handy, but my husband and I are notorious for second-guesssing ourselves and institutions so still got lost.. but the GPS saved the day! Those are an absolute godsend! It made the trip pretty easy. The only thing I can think of that would make the trip better would be some way to make it easier to adjust the seat and seatbelts, and more information on the hikes to the special points that were recommended.
We rented ATVs from this place and everything was amazing. Will totally recommend this place to anyone! They gave us 9 bottles of water in a cooler, they gave us a mad with pictures so we wouldn’t get lost because it is very easy to get lost in Arizona. Everyone was super friendly and made it very pleasant.
I took a Razor out and tipped it on it’s side. Admittedly I was at fault and was happy to pay for any damages, however, there were no visible damages other than a slight scratch on the side. When I tipped it I was going very slowly and I landed on soft dirt. I was told I’d get an email 10-14 days later detailing the damages. I didn’t hear anything so finally after almost a month I had to call and find out what was going on. They sent me an email stating they took the entire $3000 deposit! Unreal! BEWARE!!! If you do anything, I mean anything to these machines they will rob you blind. They even replaced some plastics for cosmetic scratches that weren’t even from me! I do not feel I was treated fairly here, and they’re looking for any opportunity to replace as many parts as they can if anything goes wrong. The detailed bill was ridiculous. Do not rent here
The entire experience was poor and they were completely unprofessional. They gave us a damaged Razor that would not drive properly and would not give us a discount when we returned. They were very rude and would not help us out in any way even though they were in the wrong. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in terms of customer service. Would recommend every other place in town before this one. Horrible experience.
When trying to rent from them, they told me that a $3000 security deposit was necessary. I asked them to detail to me what requirements need to be met to ensure the return of my deposit. They refused to detail anything specific and essentially told us it was subjective. Additionally, they turned the conversation around on me and tried to make me feel bad for even daring to ask. Save yourself the trouble and go down the road to Sedona Cam Am Rentals, they will help you out and be up front about all the charges.
Red rock ATV rentals was AMAZING!!! We had the most amazing time with great direction on where we should go! Highly recommend them!!! Thanks Red rock!!
Had a great experience with my daughter. Awesome staff
We rented a 6 passenger from Red Rock ATV this week and from beginning to end the experience was great. The staff is extremely helpful and got us on our way with maps and all. I highly recommend this for families!
Great rental and nice staff
We even got lost and the crew understood.the guys that help us getting the units where great.just can not say enough
We drove 3 hours and when we got there we were finally informed that we would need to pay 3k per vehicles (we were renting 3) so 9k in total. Idk about you but usually I don’t keep 9k to readily dish out and it would have been something very worthwhile to mention. Not only did they not inform us, they were rude and inconsiderate even though we were (going to) give them our business. Looked fun though lol
I was so nervous to go but they made me feel so at ease. We had the best time!! Thanks you for being so kind and compassionate to a very worried customer!!!
So simple to get everything started. The front desk staff, the mechanics, everyone was great
I would 110% not recommend this place. We drove 3 hours while being on vacation to be informed of the down deposit being $3000 per vehicle (in which we got 3, so $9000 in total). While being on the phone with them BEFORE we did the long time consuming drive, we asked if there was anything else we would need to pay or know about and they did not inform us about anything. The employees even argued with us that he did state that when we have 9 people with us who heard the guy on the phone while we were reserving it. They were rude and unprofessional and didn’t even try to help us find somewhere else since we drove 3 hours to go and give them our business. i will NEVER recommend a place with rude employees when you’re willing to give them thousands of dollars in business. So unprofessional and awful.
We rented a ATV and they gave us a broken one and wouldn’t give us a refund. They knew they were in the wrong and still wouldn’t give us any money back.
Only one dirt road was open for riding. They didnt explain this to us until we signed up, paid and they rushed us along. The road that was open was closed 1/2 way to the top. I called and they said we could ride that road up and down again until our time expired or they would give us $50 back. Not even close to prorated. We could have switched our days around if we knew the situation beforehand. Very much felt hoodwinked.Oh and the road that was 1/2 way open had trucks running up and down on it so hardly a 4 wheeler trail. Oh and we came back early and they didnt give us the $50 - I was so sick of it by then that I just let them keep the money.
I would 110% not recommend this place. We drove 3 hours while being on vacation to be informed of the down deposit being $3000 per vehicle (in which we got 3, so $9000 in total). So unprofessional and awful. Every single person even the manager had an attitude and they all acted like they knew what they were talking about when they clearly didn’t. You lose business when you try to be a know it all like the guy out front.
Totally awesome experience. Thanks for the wonderful time. My guys and myself will have plenty of memories to talk about from this trip.
Great machines. Very knowledgeable. No hastle. Will rent from again for sure
Efficient, no nonsense rental process by friendly staff. Clear maps and high-powered ATV.
Be careful and ask questions before taking the ATV out; know exactly what you will and will not receive with the insurance on the vehicle. The ATV we rented was in good working order and we had a lot of fun on the trails. Unfortunately, we lost control on a section of a trail and the ATV went on its side. We got out of the ATV, tipped it back over and was able to ride it the rest of the morning and had a good time. Upon returning it back to Red Rock, the staff immediately wanted to know where it went down because there was some dirt on the side fender. There did not appear to be any serious damage that we could see, but the manager informed us that if it ever goes on its side they have to replace the entire roll cage for liability reasons. They immediately charged us the $3000 deductible and told us it would take 7-14 days for the owner to get in contact with us for the actual cost of the damages and we would be refunded for any amount owed. I was given a phone number for the owner and my attempts to discuss the damages never resulted in a returned phone call.A week later we received an invoice for the damages, which totaled over $3800 so no refund was due. The invoice charges appeared to be consistent/fair with dealer pricing and part of the $3800 repair included the ATV being out of service for 7 days at $250/day (keep in mind the contract language for the insurance allowed the owner to charge us more based on their daily rate but the owner did not do that).Lessons learned from this - do a walk around of the vehicle prior to taking it out to make sure any signs of damage are noted. Clarify with the staff what common damages occur to the ATV that result in a claim. Know that accidents will happen especially if you havent operated an ATV on the trails before and finally, be prepared to pay for the damages the owner perceives you caused to his property upon return.
Excellent experience! Would do again
Great way to see sedona!!!
Did a 4 hour tour and we got 2 trails in and stopped to visit 2 Indian heritage sites along with time for a lunch. My kids loved it and so did my wife and I. The staff was helpful and friendly which was great since we had never done anything like this before.
Please think twice before renting from this place. If they have any reason, they will take for you $3,000.00 deposit. We rented 3 vehicles. One could barely get to 35 mph for half of the trip. There was a slow roll with no visible damge. Upon calling to check damages,, we were given the same 14 day runaround that I read in others postings. We expected to pay something plus cleanup, but they took the opportunity to replace plastics that were in the same condition as when picked it up.They charged us $3700.00 . $1500 of this is 6 days of non operation, most of which were weekdays. I challenge that they were at 100% all week.
Diamondback Trail 🤘🏼
Very friendly staff! They are quick to get you checked in and thorough about all the rules and regulations! We had a great time the self tour was awesome and 4 hours was plenty of time. Definitely worth it!
Very prompt and friendly staff. Nice clean and mechanically sound vehicles. Competitive prices and I and will be a return customer.
The tours and the trails itself were super fun. We had purchased 5 single riders and toward the end of our ride one of us ended up getting a flat. There was a tiny scratch in the rim and they ended up charging us another $150 on top of the $800 we had already spent. Weren’t really accommodating but otherwise the atvs were awesome!
