I went here only because I had to get my hair done before my vacation.To start with, I am giving 2 star instead of 1 because they were flexible with the time. I booked online appointment and got automated confirmation email. I didnt know I had to wait for another confirmation email as well, so I went there as per my appointment timings. The owner told me that they have someone available and took me in.I had appointment with SachiKo but Franky was the one that helped me. I have very long hair and expect the person doing my hair to be gentle. He directly started with color without even combing them once.Furthermore the hair wash was terrible experience. He didnt even bother to wait for 2 mins before washing the conditioner. He was constantly pulling my hair while working on them.Moreover they charged me $340 ( $250 color +90 hair cut).Even after hair color I could see few white strands.Hair cut was just trimming ends and front layer.usually I pay around $150 - $200. It was definitely not worth $340.I would not recommend this place for woman hair do.

Sachiko is professional and courteous. I went with her twice and very satisfied. She takes her time and does a great job. Highly recommend.

Not enough stars to rate appropriately. Not being the most articulate writer, Ill keep it simple. The service is professional and in my opinion, under priced. Courteous and friendly staff, that listens to your request, and delivers. Ive used the sheep shearing franchise hair removers, and looked like a shaved Q-tip. Not only did I have that look fixed, I was happy with the haircut weeks after as well.

I have been going to Sachiko for a while now. She cuts my hair with scissors as per my request. Her prices are very reasonable and she is very skilled in her craft! She is fun to talk too as well. She is funny and between her dog (that sits next to us) and our conversations, time flies fast. I would recommend her to my friends.

Saichiko is amazing and kind. So polite.Firstly I am a black female with natural hair. She was able to bleach and color my hair to a beautiful violet gray without damaging it. My curls felt amazing after.She was very patient with the process as I brought her a head full of rose gold/ pink dye and I will mostDefinitely be a repeat customer. Leila & Rob are both terrific!!!I called them 40 minutes before closing, weekday. They not only took me, provided a great service but took the time necessary to satisfy all my grooming requests... Haircut, beard trim, highlights which took more than an hour but they didnt rush it at all.Highly recommend to visit!!!

I honestly cant say anything but good about this salon -Great, luxurious salon with stellar service and so clean! I have been going to sachiko for 10 years now and she always does my hair beautifully. I would definitely say she is a color specialist and never damages my hair in any color service (something I was always weary about from other salons).

I have been going to Nico for a haircut for the last 3 years. He is the best and a master with a razor, gives me great layers every time! And such a sweet, friendly man! And making an appointment online is super easy.

This review is not for the hair cutting business but the waxing and massage lady who is renting one of the rooms and provides massage and grooming services.This is the worst manscaping I have every received in my life. Dirty table and the rude lady. We do that, we don’t that. She advertises in craigslist. Don’t go there. Don’t pay in advance.

Niko is the best... been going to him every 3-4 weeks for a Mens haircut for more than a year. Dont even need to saying what Im looking for; he can see the type of cut I like and just does it. Online booking is very convenient. Prices are fair. Open late. Cant really ask for anything more.

This salon is immaculate, the staff is courteous and friendly, and WOW!! what a difference the right hair stylist can make!! Nicole is one of my new favorite people in my life. She actually listened to what I wanted done and didnt try to cut all my hair off! She recommended AND gave me the best hi-lights I have gotten in a long time. This really is like having a ritzy Manhattan salon with all the comforts of home, right here in the heart of Tarrytown. The complimentary Cappuccino and Italian Cookies also added to the experience! Its been hard for me to find a place to get a quality haircut, but have been here a couple times now and have been very pleased both times. The wife also likes the manicure service.

I have been going to Sachiko once a month for a color & cut for the past 3 years. The pride she takes in her work and her professional approach is evident in the outcome. Ive moved to Secaucus recently and had to find a new hair salon for myself and my boyfriend. How happy I was when I found this place and Sachiko! She is such a sweet woman! She did an AMAZING job cutting and picking the right color for my hair. Exactly what I wanted, and it is so reasonably priced! They never try to up-sell, and I pay exactly the price I see when I book my appointment online. My boyfriend goes to Niko an is also happy with his haircuts. Very happy with the experience, and would recommend this place to everyone.

Pushy staff, convoluted scheduling, theres no such thing as a simple hair cut here. They really try to up-sell you on the products, even accidentally ringing up a spray then encouraging me to buy and try it anyway. Emailing list is fairly abusive with no clear way to unsubscribe that works. If youre the type that enjoys visiting a salon and being wrapped up in the experience for a few hours, you may have better luck. But if you day doesnt revolve around your hair and youre looking for a quick haircut on lunch break, keep looking.

Everyone asks why i travel to Secaucus to get my hair done when I live in Elizabeth, and work in Manhattan....When u find a great place with great service and great people...u stay with them and stay a loyal customer!!! Pretty much anyone you choose here to do your hair will do an amazing job!!! You cannot go wrong!!! I have Sachico or Rania at the top of my list ..they also have this new awesome machine to help with circulation and weight loss...ask Rob about it when u go in!!!! It is amazing!!!!

Was just in the area for a business trip and decided to go in for a manicure since I had chipped my nail. Lily wasnt friendly at all, I found the salon to be in serious need of a cleaning, and my gel manicure started to crack and chip off that same evening. I cannot recommend this salon to others

I was rather apprehensive about this place when I originally walked in here as is the case with any new place but after my first hair cut I was glad that I was saved from the barbaric butchery of Haircuttery and the other $8 haircuts. No matter who the staff here working with your hair they all take a keen interest in your hairdo. There is an older Japanese lady (I forget her name) who works weekends, is straight up awesome in how she cuts hair but when I cant go weekends I go to Niko who is technically very sound and who you can tell has had significant practice with hairstyling. My friend Abhi who just started frequenting this place upon my recommendation loves this place as well and his hair dresser is Tasha. Rob who is the owner does a good job managing the logistics of the place and gets me in at the earliest. All in all, a saviour in the Secaucus area. Jersey City has its share of quality saloons but Id rather not travel that extra distance unless I really need to.

I LOVED this place. It was amazingly and refreshingly different from all past places Ive gone... Stylist Rania really took the time to listen & understand to what type of cut /style I wanted & I also got some GREAT health tips from the owner, Robert, who seemed to genuinely care for each client, treating them very well as I observed. He really didnt have to take the time to sit & tell me on ways I can start feeling more energetic, foods to avoid, great juicing blends, etc. so I really apperciated the fact that he did :) Rania was also wonderful, considerate and VERY accommodating /understanding since I was in a rush back to work after lunch..(and I got at least 9 compliments after returning to work, which never happened before :) She also didnt get a drop of water in my ear during the wash which is VERY important to me because of ear probs. She was professional every step of the way...Also, they were VERY reasonably priced and even gave me a discount since i was pressed for time & Rania couldnt style me the way she wanted..and I can see she puts ALL her heart into it & concentrates with every single strand, doing her absolute best.. I definitely found my haircutters for life!

HORRIBLE. BEWARE before providing your credit/debit card details to them.They charged my credit card twice and deducted tip amount from my card them-self without my permission even after I already had paid tip in cash. I came to know it when was looking at my credit card posted transactions.When I called Mr. Rob (owner), he was soo mean with his behavior. So cheap customer service and fraud using customer bank details!Beware Guys...very poor service and compromise with customers bank details!!!

I came in for the Japanese Straightening as my sister had done the same thing here a few years back and was happy with the result. Due to religious reasons I requested a female stylist and to have the process which takes well over 5 hours done in a private room. Rob, the owner, was very accommodating and I respect his efforts in that respect. I worked with Noriko and I must say she is the epitome of professionalism and hospitality she even offered to go purchase snacks for me as I was hungry after sitting for more than 4 hours. She offered hair tips and advice and she was very genuine not to mention beyond meticulous in her work. In terms of the end result, I believe this salon delivers. However, I feel that there is an issue of honesty and straightforwardness. On the website, the Japanese is listed as starting from $350 and I can understand the keyword is STARTING however, I was quoted $450 and my sister well above $600 so as an initial listing I feel $350 is not even realistic and I would suggest placing the more accurate description of the pricing. After the consultation Noriko quoted me for $450, I had already paid $25 deposit. After I was finished and went to pay the owner, he quoted me at $500 which I thought was weird but assumed he included tip. I left and headed towards my car and was followed by my stylist who very politely told me that if I am satisfied with her service that tip was not included. When I went back into the salon I explained to Rob that I was quoted $450 and was charged $500 and now I am being told that doesn’t include tips he said that is correct. He then proceeded to speak with Noriko and asking her why she quoted me for $450 he then came outside and spoke with me and said whatever she has said is not accurate and that around there he is the only one who is accurate. To me, that is demeaning to his employees as he undermined her in front of the customer which I find a tad rude even if she made the mistake of misquoting me he does not have to put the blame on her there was just something about the way he said it that I found offensive. I then left saying okay then I’m just not leaving tip which he just laughed at. I got the vibe that he doesnt really care about his employees as long as he got his share it didnt really matter if she didnt receive tip. I would excuse this if it were the first time but the same exact thing apparently happened to my sister who said she always was tricked into paying even more to include tip and that there was no honesty initially about how much she would be charged. BOTTOM LINE IS GREAT SERVICE BUT MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH YOUR EXPECTED TO PAY AND IT DOES NOT INCLUDE TIP!!!

After living in Japan for 6 years, I am accustomed to Japanese hairstylists. I findthat their technique is always precise and on point. How lucky I am to have foundthis salon here in Secaucus. They have three Japanese stylists and my wifeYumiko and I really appreciate the attention of our stylists. Noriko cuts my hairand my wife and kids go to Sachiko. If you have never experienced a Japanesehairstylist, I highly recommend Sachiko and Noriko.
