I worked at Signature as an agent from 2008-2011. Terri and Angie were instrumental in my transition to LA where I was able land a job at Creative Artists Agency. After working with clients at both Signature and CAA, I can say with full credence that Signature does a fantastic job at preparing their clients for the top level. The mentality they take with each client is that this is not a nice side gig but a long term career. This is the kind of representation actors/models should receive with any agency and this is the standard at Signature.

Signature has some of the best agents in Arizona who work days, nights, and weekends with clients to get their talent and models work opportunities. They are very thorough in their communication and expect the best from those on their roster. Just like with any place that gets you a job, if you dont put the work in, then you will not book any jobs. If you think an agent wanting to modify your hair or wardrobe in order to make you more marketable and book more jobs is bad, then you will not survive in this industry. Any agent will do this. All agencies in Arizona charge a fee of some sort. Signature charges a small fee for your presence on their website and it is all tax deductible, as you are an independent contractor as an actor or model. This is all normal for an agency. People who do not put in the work and who do not understand this industry are the ones leaving negative reviews, which is very obvious by their ignorant comments -- all which show a major lack of understanding about how agencies work.

Oh my gosh. I ❤️ the Agency. I was a little shy when I started and the my helped me along with care and kindness. They are form but fair. Fun and fierce. Everything you want in an agency. It’s been a busy season already and it has been that way since I started. I would highly recommend.

My daughter an actress /model for signature did a photo shoot for a clothing catalog and worked a week on the shoot. The pay was $10,000.00. Signature only paid her $1,200.00 They kept the money to pay there bills and pay themselves. I do not recommend them at all. We became friends with the ad agency that was producing the clothing catalog and they told us when they they paid Signature and how much. They Ripped off my daughter who was only 8 years old.

At first they were sweet and very eager to sign me but in the end they were very rude and unprofessional, in fact extremely egotistic. Pulling a “do you know who I am” kind of attitude. When I set my boundaries and stood my ground about not changing my look. I got “how dare you talk to me that way I am an agent and you do as I say, you are just an actor.” Attitude and self centered. Real agents don’t do that. I know from experience.

For those who have never experienced a real agency this place probably seems pretty nice but I am surprised this place is still going, they get away by the skin of their teeth being a SAG franchised agency. They do not abide by the code of ethics to be part of it. A real agency does not offer acting classes or photographers, they are not allowed to do that. It is also not legal to tell clients what to do with their look or tell them to change it. But they did all that with me which is when I cancelled my contract with them. They told me I failed when things ended, but they were wrong. I did much better without them and went way further then they could “take me”. It is always better to be yourself. Take this as a lesson like many others (and myself) don’t let people tell you who to be and what to look like. If you want to be an actor then go to LA and get a real agency, all the other people I’ve worked with have been nothing but nice and supportive and never cared what I did to “my look” because they know it’s best to be yourself. If this agency had such a problem with it then it’s because they don’t have enough work out there and just want to use people.
