The receptionist staff has no professional practice or compassion for clients. During a first attempt, the receptionist transfers a new customer to the Psychologist direct line to make an appointment. It’s been a week with no call back. What’s even the point of having a receptionist when you could use an extension line and eliminate what is useless and save money. Then another time she makes snotty demands for new clients, that are barely of legal age, as if they should understand what the are talking about when it comes to health insurance and policies. She has no regard for the client or the services that she is costing the therapists at this location. Zero social skills. Paycheck over client driven. Unapproachable. Lack of customer service. Lack of initiative. Pulling my referrals.
The rating really shows for the quality this place puts out... Let’s start off with the reception desk. Let’s hope you’re ready to be treated as a freak rather than an individual, the receptionists always seem to have an issue whenever someone walks through the door, they talk to you as if you’re stupid, they’re focused on anything but their job, and you best hope you don’t walk through the door during their conversations, don’t wanna ruin that!Onto the therapist side: my first therapist (not going to name names) spent the entire session staring at the clock the way a child eager to leave school does. While signing papers and legal documents instead of letting me carefully read through he rushed me and urged everything was well. While talking and his continuous clock staring out of nowhere I was given two depression tests with no context what so ever. By the time I knew it I was being rushed out his office because the one hour mark was up, it was about 45 minutes give or take...I didn’t want to completely discourage myself from therapy after having a terrible first experience here, so I decided to put myself through it, again. My second therapist seemed quite nice and projected a nice, safe feeling. The couple of sessions I had went quite well actually. Here’s where things take a turn, I’m used to getting reminders for EVERYTHING, I was getting reminders for therapy sessions from my previous therapist as well as my current one. All the sudden my reminders stop (I never messed with my reminder option) and I’m getting a call expecting me to pay $75 for something I’m not being informed for. Two weeks goes by and I’m getting another call saying I owe ANOTHER $75. Apparently “it’s not our fault if you don’t get our emails” is an amazing response to give to your patients... If a 0 star option was viable, this place would have one without a doubt.Save yourself stress and money, find another place; there are many, many options better than this one.
Im a new patient so I cannot rate treatment or therapists yet and that is why I lack the last star, however, I was impressed with Kayla the receptionist. She took her time to try to get me the earliest appointment and with the best provider available. Every other place, you can never get an appointment right away.
Im being charged $65 dollars for a no-show for an appointment I never booked 8 MONTHS AGO. They have threatened me with sending this charge to collections and expect me to pay for it. I read the reviews and it seems that the desk staff is extremely negligent.
Jennifer the receptionist is unapologetically rude. You will be left on hold, she does not acknowledge that someone is on the line. I can’t believe the doctors do not read the reviews about their front office staff. I like the doctor but it’s unfortunate that there seems to be a disconnect between the employers and their office staff. Good luck!
Overall, OK. But be aware that each practitioner has their own list of insurances that they accept (or dont). Front desk staff is a tad on the rude side, and the cancellation policy is ridiculous. Expect no empathy when you miss an appointment even in case of an emergency which is quite ironic considering the services this business is supposed to provide. If you do get in, expect to spend money on at least 8 sessions before actually discussing the reason you decided to come in the first place. Overall, I would consult a magic 8 ball before coming back to SPA.
AVOID THIS OFFICE. FRONT OFFICE STAFF IS RUDE, UNPROFFESSIONAL, UNREASONABLE AND DIFFICULT TO COMMUNICATE WITH. ALSO, THEY HAVE UNFAIR BILLING PRACTICES. The Front office staff charge outrageous $60.00 fees. When you call clear up important matters like billing, fees, prescriptions, lab codes, and appointment cancellations, the staff put you on hold, hang up or transfer your call and never call you back. You cant find the corporate office in order to complain about the unprofessional staff. Staff will not identify who they are. I have sent in formal written complaints to BBB and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
I was pleased with my counselor cindy wilson with the few sessions I did attend. However the office staff was rude and unpleasant to speak with. As I was on call with one of the staff they abruptly hung up on me. I had asked them to hold for one second after I was informed of a $65 fee for missing my appointment. They DO NOT call and remind you of your appointment even when the appointment is set three weeks ahead and absolutely no sympathy for emergencies. I am at home after emergency surgery to my right ankle and had forgotten of the appointment that I had made three weeks out due to the counsoler being on vacation. The last thing I need is another 65 dollars tacked onto the outrageous bills for my surgery. All I was told is Sorry thats our policy and then click. For the specialty practice they are in they sure do cause more mental stress for their patients.
If I could give a negative star I would. This place is very unprofessional and rude. Beware.
