Tamara came highly recommended by a friend. Tamara worked so hard for our child to get his IEP corrected to help him be successful. IEP meetings are no longer a nightmare to attend. She knows the laws pays attention to detail. Thank you so much for all youve done thus far.

Tamara gets the job done--is the most amazing advocate. Makes it look easy but after having 3 previous advocates, I know this is not the case.

Top notch expertise. Tamara knows the system, pays attention to detail, and doesn’t settle for anything less than what is best for the child. Beyond advocacy, Tamara noticed some things in our neuropsych eval and recommended specific testing which turned out to be true to her hunch. Now we have more insight into our son, a whole new IEP and feel super supported. Our lives are changed. I am so grateful.

Simply put, Tamara is the best. Her expertise, insight, and experience are unparalleled. If you find yourself in the situation of needing an advocate, look no further. You will not want anyone else in your corner. We found Tamara after I discovered that my son, who is on the spectrum, was being grossly mistreated in his public school. She is a fearless advocate and will always base decisions and recommendations on what is best for the child; she knows that the child will always drive placement. Today, because of her guidance, my son is thriving. I will always recommend Tamara.

Tamara is amazing. She helped our family so much. Our boys are both on the spectrum and extremely bright, the school didn’t know what to do with them and Tamara came to the rescue. I have recommended her to many and will continue to do so! Thank you Ballou Education for everything you’ve done for our family.

Working with Tamera was impressive today. My anxiety and stress was through the roof due to issues I was having with the school district which resulted in me interviewing several advocates. As soon as I spoke to Tamera, I knew she was the one I wanted. Tensions were high and I didnt know what to expect during a meeting with the school district. Tamera not only came in and directed the meeting but did it in a professional manner where, I felt comfortable and supported. She was able to get my concerns resolved and my child set up for testing. I look forward to working with her with all the foster children who come through my home as my educational consultant/advocate. Having Tamera is must!

Tamara is a wealth of knowledge about the law and the resources available to our kiddos. I have been working with her the past 5 years and it is nice to have that go to person for my questions and concerns and guidance.

I hired Tamara with Ballou Education at the beginning of this year and it has been the single best thing I’ve ever done for my child.Last year my child was diagnosed with autism and ADHD and he was really struggling in school. His school ignored his diagnosis and refused to provide any support, no matter how much I fought them (which was a lot, believe me I tried to do it on my own.)Things changed quickly when I hired Tamara. She listened to everything we’d been through, and spent time reviewing all of our documents, then created a solid plan on how we would get my son the support he needed. It was the first time I felt relief from the stress of my child struggling. She was able to get an emergence IEP in place almost immediately (which the school told me was absolutely impossible before I hired her.). She also was able to get the district to pay for independent evaluations from doctors of my choosing, giving us so much incredible knowledge on my son that will shape the rest of his education for years to come. With that knowledge she led the school in creating the most thorough and supportive IEP possible. (Sounds easy, it IS NOT without her!!)My son now has the support he needs, and his entire demeanor has changed. He feels the relief that I feel, and his academics and over all wellbeing are already improving. Not only did Tamara do all of the above, but she was there when I had any questions. She guided me in communication and any situations with the school during these difficult times. It is INSANELY helpful to be able to call someone with so much knowledge who knows your child and situation in difficult times for guidance that sets your child up for success in the future. We owe so many thanks to Tamara for her knowledge, strength, and commitment. Watching her in tough school meetings is a thing of art! I trust her whole heartedly and if you have a child who is struggling in school and need help navigating the system, Tamara is the best investment for your child’s education and emotional wellbeing that you could possibly find.Thank you for everything Tamara, we look forward to working with you in the future.

My biggest regret is not hiring Tamara sooner! Every year there is a teacher that pegs my son as a problem and others who work well with him. In the past it has been a difficult fight to have some teachers not judge him and be willing to support him. He is gifted but struggles with exeutive functioning. He feels so understood by Tamara and she has helped the school adminstators understand him too. She is extremely knowlegable and creative about accomodations and is a STRONG advocator for students. She calls out the school teachers and adminstrators on anything that does not have the students best interest. She has helped me to realize I CAN expect his teachers and administrators to accomodate him. Her reputation preceeds her and the people at the school and district know she means business and knows the legal rights of students with challenges. It is a night and day difference working with teachers, administrators and the district with Tamara involved.
