Our experience with Republic West Remodeling was excellent. They completed a very extensive remodeling project, which converted part of a large garage into a home office, as well as remodeled a few areas of an older house we just moved into. Kevin and his crew were very friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable. The price was very fair and they kept very close to our budget requirements. They kept the site super clean, they communicated with us as to how things were going, and what was coming up next, and they were very responsive to any concerns and questions. The best quality of their work was also superb. We are very pleased with the completed project.

We did an entire home remodel and after meeting with several companies, we decided to go with Republic West Remodeling....And did we make the perfect choice!! Greg was our project manager, and we should inform right away that he has a serious passion for his work. He was very focused on the details, we discussed our plans... he no longer solely gave us some superb ideas, but also talked us out of certain matters that would be a waste of money. How many contractors out there actually talk about their possible clients OUT of spending greater money?! We for certain honestly appreciated that. The groups that they sent out to do the work were top notch. Greg was there all step of the way, coming via a couple times a week to check up on things. Any time we had a questions or a problem, he was on top of it immediately. Our Kitchen and Bathroom remodel is now finished, and we could no longer be happier with how it became out. If you are thinking of hiring Republic West Remodeling, stop thinking about it and simply do it already. Youll be happy that you did.

We choose Republic West Remodeling for our garage remodel. Chris was my project manager, he listened to my ideas and helped me comprehend them. Chris and I were in consistent contact from the beginning of the project till the end, when the job was finished (and I do suggest consistent communication, daily). My new garage looks excellent and Im very happy with the service. The outside of the garage appears looks amazing! The polished concrete flooring is very cool too! If you are looking to remodel your home or jus a garage remodel, give these guys a call -- they are good.

Chris and his team did a fantastic job with the kitchen remodel. His expertise was top notch, but what struck me most about Chris and Republic West Remodeling was their integrity. The greatest obstacle I find with hiring contractors is integrity, because consistent quality and fair pricing is rare. I met Chris at the property where we were doing the kitchen renovation, and one of the first things he did was hand me a packet with his license, insurance information, and references. That made an instant impression with me. The quality of the workmanship is excellent I am quite pleased with the result. I plan to hire Republic West Remodeling again for future needs.

I used REPUBLIC WEST 12 years ago when I bought my home. It was a total gut job and they remodeled it beautifully. I never had to call them back..not one problem. Fast forward to a re-decorating..and once again I called them.. Yea..my wall was done beautifully and in short order. These men (Steve, Dave, Ivan, Jeff, ) did a great..terrific job..and they cleaned up every day before they left. I never had to stumble over anything. AND they found a hairline crack that I knew was there in another room but they spotted it..and FIXED it..I didnt even ask. A++++ all the way. My Daughter was so impressed she will use them as well

Recently had an interior door widened to permit wheelchair access at my sons group home. Republic West sent a terrific carpenter to do the job. He arrived promptly and immediately prepared the area to keep it as clean as possible. He worked steadily and efficiently during the three hours and the final job is excellent. When finished, he was quite thorough in cleaning up the mess. No one could guess this was not the original door, frame, and moulding. Assuming his work is indicative of the quality of remodeling done by Republic West, I will recommend them to others. (P.S. Our wheelchair users send a great big THANK YOU!)

Wouldnt RecommendMy husband and I were really looking forward to updating our home and adding some value to our property. We had two other companies come to our home, and Republic West Remodeling seemed to be the best, at first. We originally had one designer, who wasnt supposed to be our designer, but we were placed with this first one because the other person had a family emergency. When meeting with the designer, everything seemed great, all this different stuff was going to be added that wasnt originally in the contract, and it was getting much more personalized. But, then I never heard from that designer again, they never conveyed it to the person who wrote our contract, and then our home wasnt being done the new way I believed it would. Instead we just heard it would be about 5,000 over our already insanely large budget. Then the designer we were originally supposed to have became the designer once again, but never even came to our home. For our master shower we had a tile picked out, and we said it was too expensive. So, they got a less expensive tile that couldnt be on the bench for our shower and didnt even think to get a pencil liner to match it. This is when it was our last straw. I emailed the designers about the lack of communication and how it was unprofessionally considering we are not some big fancy home in Scottsdale, but we are paying A LOT of money for this work. I also called and texted, even the person who wrote our contract. NO RESPONSE from any of them. I am not a mean person, just a simple I AM SORRY would have made me feel better. To me the designers and the business did not care about our home. It was just another job that they dont have to worry about. The owner of Republic West called us, helped solve some things, but the cheapest way possible for them. The workers that came to the house were always great. The manager for the project was good, he cared about our situation and helped out. In the end our stuff looks beautiful. Is it perfect and exactly what we wanted? No. But, I am glad I never have to worry about them again. For what we paid, it was not worth it. If we were to do it again, we would have went with someone else. We know home updates never go as planned, but this was a whole different ball game of bad. They cared about the checks, not us and our home. I believe a professional business should not even have to share with their costumers that we wont have this original designer because of their family emergency. Just find someone else to take over, and if you need to switch just let them know it was for a business reason. I truly hope they treat costumers far better than they treated us, but I wouldnt take the chance!

We were nervous going in to such a large renovation job especially with all the horror stories you here from people. We felt very comfortable with them. They had a detailed timeline and other than one of the subcontractors delaying their job, Republic West was on time for a 3 month project. The end results were exactly what we had dreamed up. Republic West Remodeling recently did a renovation of the master bathroom in our home. After the death of my father, my mother came to live with us. From the the initial design process, to picking out fixtures and materials, to the actual construction, the Republic West team walked us through each step and let us know what to expect. We had a detailed schedule. We knew who was coming to our home, and when. Every person who came to our home was professional and courteous. I have had nightmare experiences with other contractors in the past, but I cant say enough about my experience with Republic West Remodeling. The finished project is beautiful. The remodeling of our shower was an absolute nightmare with RWR. It was supposed to take 2-3 weeks but took over 2 months due to lack of communication and poor craftsmanship. After leaving 3 messages asking to speak to a supervisor we got a call back from the accountant. While he was very nice it wasnt his job to handle escalated issues. They say they are about customer service and making the process stress free but it was quite the opposite experience. We did a lot of the leg work and dealt with a complete lack of professionalism throughout the process. We heard a lot of apologies along the way but in the end there are still craftsmanship issues we simply have to live with. We spent way too much money to deal with what we did. I read another review of an overpriced bid. I agree! My bid wasnt as much work but there was $8000 unaccounted for for tiny miscellaneous things like renting a pod to put my furniture in while reflooring, taping, covering cabinets, setup, project management, who knows! And I get to buy a lot of the materials myself on top of their bid. Designer kept promising to get me a bid, I had called 4 times in a week and kept hearing he was really busy but working on it. Not until to finally told him dont bother, funny, thats when the bid showed up. I had him break down the prices for the items I wanted so guess that added time. Then stop promising Id get it on a certain day and not deliver. If its this hard to get a bid imagine what it would be like to get them to do the actual work! No thanks I am gladly looking elsewhere.

If you want work done on your home and money is no object then this is the place for you. I cannot speak to the quality of the work that they do because it never got that far. I placed a $5000 deposit so they could get started on the design work. I understand that this is a lot of work and they need some sort of certainty that they can recoup some of their expenses. What they came back with was an astronomical bid. I wont get into the whole issue of pricing but here is an example. They had a line item in for repainting the house (all walls, baseboards, doors and ceilings). The amount that they came up with was $7000. Note that this is a 2600 square foot house. After seeing this red flag I met at the house that weekend with 2 painters to get bids for the same work. They came back with bids of $1700 and $2500.In an effort to get some value for the $5000 that I had already committed I told them that I would still hire them to install the folding wall system in the house. They returned with a bid of $34,956. I have also reached out for competing bids. I have only received one back but it came in at $19,554.25.I will be looking elsewhere or I will do the work myself. Do yourself a favor and dont even get started here. I cannot believe that if feels good to be walking away from $5000.

We first discovered Republic West Remodeling from a mailer ad in 2006 and decided to give them a call since they were nearby. We went to the showroom and decided to set up an initial consultation since the pricing seemed very fair for the product. We were very impressed by our initial consultation since everyone was very professional and considerate of our time. I really enjoyed meeting with the designer, Arthur. It was interesting to watch his eyes as he envisioned all of the future potential for the kitchen in front of us. The computer renders he created definitely helped with my decision since visualizing isnt always easy to do so seeing the renderings in front of me was a huge pluswe were able to make changes along the way and that was important to us - although we only needed to make a couple of adjustments to the original design. such as the great addition of our wine rack. What really stood out to us is that everyone did what they said they were going to do - and when they were going to do it! They stuck with the initial schedule and blueprint for success they originally gave us from the very beginning. The work crew, and Alex, the foreman was outstanding. We always knew in advance when he was going to show up and always stayed extremely consistent to the schedule that was given to us beforehand. Not only was it consistent, but it was fast too! None of my friends could believe that it was all completed within two weeks - and without any problems. Something that was really nice When they brought us the cabinet doors they let us inspect each and every product and allowed us to mark them as acceptable or unacceptable without question. Another thing that was important was they cleaned up every single day. They took care of disposing everything and gave our cabinets to Habitat for Humanity for reuse.Overall, we did not feel rushed, or pressured, and had plenty of time to change things along the way. Everything was laid out in front of us so expectations were made very clear and were met. We are moving forward with RWR for a new remodel project for our bathrooms and are looking forward to it!

Company 2☆ Product 3☆ Window InstallIts a headache to repeat it. Bought windows in November, 2 people both stated should be no problem getting them in before Christmas. Noted this on my order. Never notified until January. Repeated phone calls and emails with no reply!!! Said your windows are in will be installed in 4 days 10am, move all furniture, take down all window treatments. As a single old lady, I got all this done by 9:00. Then 10 minutes before they were scheduled to show up got a call, windows arent in yet, didnt find out till last night. In fact they havent even been started yet, due to holidays. May be a while. Dont need to get into my response to a company that has no idea how to conduct business. Fast forward to February. Showed up with windows but no trim. In their defense they only had a few months to prepare. Will get trim installed next day. Meanwhile they ran out of supplies, left holes to the outside when caulking, said no to worry will fill it in with foam. Whats a waterproof seal anyway, they are energy efficient windows, they were small holes, what do they care. Next day trim. Ran out of product again. Left nice black smudges all over trim. So now the homeowner is stuck painting dirty trim, outside caulking and cleaning windows with small amounts of foam or whatever. Of course on outside of second story windows.Windows themselves are nice enough. Not thrilled with the large black tabs to remove them standing out like a soar thumb on my white framed windows. The screens do not fit securely and do not have rubber seal going around to keep bugs out. You can see the gap to the outside world. So recap:• company does not return phone calls or email. EVER! Even after install.• not concerned with emails stating complaints. Just say sorry for inconvenience.• no idea or follow through with product manager or customers at any time.• do not plan or review before install• scheduler should be fired (guy not girl)• one person has no idea what the other is doing nor caresJust plain shottie company with poor customer service.

You dont EVER want to do business with these people. From integrity and honesty in the contracting and change order process (FAIL); to the scheduling and actually producing people to do work on schedule (Massive FAIL); to actually producing the schedule that they promise in their advertising but never produced until I complained about it, and then never came close to meeting (FAIL); to simple competence in translating their promises into drawings and contract language (FAIL), to the ability to perform the work with anything that looked like pride of workmanship, attention to detail, or even minimal competence (Massive FAIL as evidenced by the plumber who installed shower heads at a height lower than my head, and a bathtub that is leaking on and probably *under* our floor right now); to the price gouging for change orders to do what they promised to do in the first place (we said we would remove that soffit, but if you want that to look like it was done right and not leave a big scar across your ceiling, that will be a change order and more money -- another FAIL); to the screwed up master bathroom that left me paying for an entire slab of very expensive Azul Bahia granite from which we got a single lavatory countertop, and cabinets with a Frankenstein patch (big FAIL); to the claim that we would save money by purchasing through RWR at contractors prices (another FAIL -- it took me one email to Spencers Appliances to get the kitchen appliances for less money than RWR offered, and a couple of emails to Papagnos to discover that we were being gouged on the granite countertops); to the lack of respect for my property (including drywall mud inside a brand new thermostat for a brand-new $20,000 air conditioning system, damage to a glass pest border even after I warned them of the risk and offered to have it removed and replaced after their work was done -- no need for that, they said, and then ruined it with sloppy stucco work on the side of the house and breaking the glass under the front door); the list goes on and on. The substandard work was only corrected if and when I caught it and complained about it -- for just one example, they installed a medicine cabinet and broke the glass during the install. They turned the house over to me with the medicine cabinet broken, and didnt say a word about it. Thats the way they operated and dealt with me from start to finish. When we have recovered from this experience, Im going to have to hire another company to come back and fix the master bathroom so that we get plumbing that doesnt leak, and a room that actually looks like what we wanted. We didnt get that from these people. You dont EVER want to do business with Republic West Remodeling.

When Republic West remodeled my master bathroom, I was spoiled but did not fully appreciate it until I employed a landscape contractor to remodel my outside patios. The latter never gave a specific schedule or followed the original timeline, dragging a two-week job into five weeks. So, when I decided to remodel my kitchen, laundry and second bathroom all at once, I was eager to select Republic West again. I even requested the same team of designers, project manager and sub-contractors. Further, I trusted them so much that I was deliberately out of town for the first two weeks to avoid the demo process.Steve’s attention to detail in project design meant that as the cabinets were put in place, they not only fit the space but my expectations and needs. One of the joys of renovation is including new, practical kitchen innovations. His recommendations are the highlights of my new workspace. Designer Kathy understood my overall goals and décor style, guiding my choices toward the desired aesthetic. Republic West gives full disclosure of job details and responsibilities so that clients understand the financial realities as well as the detailed specs. Those are onsite throughout the process, facilitating transparency throughout this dynamic process. Watching the project develop from concept on paper to reality was an instructive process.Knowing that this project would disrupt my life more than a single bathroom, it was important to me to have assurance that the process would be as interactive as possible. RW gave that to me in spades. Remodeling the most essential hub of a home tests one’s ability to anticipate and problem-solve through the short term displacement of food preparation space and laundry. Before the project began, RW worked with me to set up an alternate food station to ease that challenge. They also reconnected the washer/dryer between the demo and laying of the tile. From design to the final walkthrough, Garth, the project manager, kept me informed, allowing me to anticipate decision points, and was proactive throughout the process. All of the subcontractors were courteous and respectful of my privacy and property. Those who work for Republic West are efficient experts who are also artists. Slobo and his team laid the tile so I always had a path for entry to the house and rooms. Further, he was especially creative with the transition between the tile and wood floor, giving me the smooth, contemporary look that I wanted. When one cabinet did not meet my criteria, Steve adapted it until I got all the space and access I needed. With any project, there are a few glitches, unforeseen delays and potential cost overruns. You have to go into renovation with specific goals in mind, and, more importantly, patience, flexibility and a generous spirit. Most of that is to help you understand the true complexity of this kind of work and to teach you to cope with your tolerance for dust, disruption of your space, and impatience to cross the finish line. Take pictures every week so you can evaluate just how much progress has been made. Enjoy the process. When you are done, have a big party to show off your new home that reflects your personality.

We were really at a crossroads with our home. We LOVED the location and golf course lot, but there was no question we wanted more space. We were either going to renovate and expand, or move to a different home. Arthur Gambino really took the time to listen to our wants and needs. During the process we determined there were a few “must haves” - a larger garage, a user friendly mudroom/laundry room, more bathrooms to accommodate the growing family and visitors, a private office, and an entertainment room that would highlight our backyard and provide a separate space from our main living room. With our list and Arthur’s vision, he helped to create a beautifully designed space that suits our family perfectly. Kathy Molnar guided us in selecting all of the tiles, granites, lighting, and finishes that completed the vision. We would have been lost without her guidance. Pete Limon was a huge asset on keeping the project moving along and guiding us on daily decisions.Living in the home we were renovating with a toddler, husband, pregnant wife, and an active dog had some challenges, but the RWR was outstanding. Peter Limon and Jack Plemons did everything possible to accommodate our day-to-day life, and made the experience as seamless as possible. Even with the extensive project we had, we were never without running water, laundry, and toilet facilities. Our timeline was met with only small finishes needing to be completed a week or two later. We did exceed our budget, but that was mainly due to the finishes and upgrades we chose to do after the fact.We are thrilled with our end result. Now that it is complete, we cannot imagine not having done the addition and renovation. We use every part of our house every day.We have and will continue to recommend RWR to many.

We initially came up with the idea of remodeling our home and heard of Republic West on KTAR radio. We interviewed 3 companies in total and did our research but we liked the way that RW had the website set up with the Dream Assurance Plan, the Customer Rights, etc all laid outand organized and throrough throughout the site and felt they were a good company to go with.We called them and scheduled an initial consultation at our home in March with our designer, Steven and had a very good first impression - He exedued a lot of experience and that was great since this was our first time remodeling so we didnt know exactly what to ask. He lead us on to feel us out so we know what we wanted. We had a basic idea of what we wanted but he was able to give us a much clearer vision. The kitchen for example was much more than we could have initially envisioned. Pretty much the whole kitchen was his idea - we had an initial idea with what we wanted but he came back with a computer rendering as well as a blueprint / floor plan and we were amazed -it looked much better than we were originally expecting. We ended up starting the project in the middle of summer. We had to take the wall down and they put up a temporary wall. Needless to say, it was hot! We hoped they had that new wall finished quickly but unfortunately we didnt make it before the monsoon season. There was some initial delays which resulted in the storms coming in. It seemed like not much was happening at first but once things got into motion they were here every day. One thing we appreciated is that they cleaned up after they were done every day. We were prepared to clean but they always made sure they left it as nice as possible. They also made sure they caught up from the delay. They stayed consistent with the schedule as much as they could but there were some issues as far as coordinatingwith the workers but you can tell they were able to adapt to situations quickly - the foreman jack was able to get people in and out as needed.Despite the slow start they made sure they met the promised deadline and actually finished a week early.Overall, Jack was really responsive to situations - I spoke to Steven about replacing a window with a french door - I wanted a door there but I would need some kind of air circulation so I wanted one with a side light. They ended up giving us one without sidelights but they were able to easily fix the problem - they were always very responsive and quick and jack was always there to remedy it.Overall the kitchen and fireplace totally exceeds our expectations to this day - the fireplace the tiling and everything else turned out wonderfully - we would have never anticipated anything better than this!

Of course I was puzzled and feeling pretty upset by this point. The comments went back and forth and things got a little heated. I requested to speak to the owner. Then the owner calls my husband and gets into a heated discussion regarding ethics. In all our years - we have never had a company treat us rudely and unprofessionally such as this.

My husband and I spent almost $20,000.00 with this company only to find that they do not stand behind the merchandise they sell. Long story, but the basics are bad customer service and Sterol-typical Contractor Nightmare remodel story...BUYER BE WARE!
