I switched my auto and homeowners over to Lokey a couple of weeks ago. Even though they didnt honor the pricing in their marketing solicitation (hello, bait & switch), I still signed up as I liked the idea of working with a locally-owned agent. After I had cancelled my policies with Geico & Liberty Mutual, I was notified by mail that the Allstate homeowners policy written by Lokey was cancelled. I called Dakota at Lokey in a panic, he indicated that I still had a few days before the cancellation would take effect. He said he would look into the issue and call me back. He never called me back, I had to call him a few days later. Once again he said he would call me back, but I had to call him back again. He then informed me that because of a zero-payment claim and another minor claim that I cant verify, the only coverage I could get was going to be twice as much as I had been paying with my previous Liberty Mutual policy . Which I had cancelled, because (I thought) I had the new insurance from Lokey/Allstate! I truly regret that I ever responded to that marketing email from Lokey. Dealing with this has been a nightmare.
