Great customer service. Well kept store. Staff always seems happy and willing to help

I found exactly what I was looking for, the staff was nice and I was able to use the restroom. However I do wish that the sink didnt look so filthy so keep some rubbing alcohol with you

Fun, large store with great inventory variety. Unlike some other dollar stores, everything in this store really is one dollar, no less, no more. I needed some UV protective sunglasses for a one-time trip out on the Monterey Bay with a group. When I went grocery shopping today, Walgreens had Foster-Grant sunglasses for $16. For fun I went to the nearby Dollar Tree. All of their $1 sunglasses have polycarbonate (UV protective) lens. Polycarbonate lenses are far more impact-resistant than plastic or glass lenses provide 100% protection from UV rays Many were pretty ugly, but I quickly found a decent wrap-around pair that look reasonably good - a 94% savings. When they inevitably get broken or lost, Ill just go back for another $1 pair. Judging by how busy the store was, Id guess they have a lot of regular customers. Dollar Tree tends to be associated with less affluent neighborhoods, but this area near Silicon Valley is definitely upscale with an $922K average home price (Feb 2019).

All I have to say is Dollar tree is typically always great and I do get tricked into buying a lot of stuff there😁

Doesnt have as much stuff as some other locations do but I can always count on the Scotts Valley location to be neat/clean, and well organized.

Easy to get to. Has a freezer, dry foods, kitchen, pet, house hold cleaning supplies, and a lot more!

Great store. Lots of items for a dollar

Everything is a dollar. Great for stocking stuffers and and opportunity for the kids to spend allowance. It has been busy leading up to the holiday but it is easy to park and the line moves quickly. It can be a bit difficult to maintain social distance when the store is busy.

Yikes. I don’t think I’ve ever left a 1 star review. This is the worst dollar store I’ve ever seen. It’s just janky and the line to cash out was insane. It took nearly 20 minutes to pick up my prepaid online order.

This store did not have a limit on how many customers entered store at one time today There were two registers open each with 10-15 people in each line.They opened a third for all of 5 minutes. Then closed it leaving that line of 10 people to move into one of the other two lines. This seems to be a lack of proper protocol in mitigating the spread of Covid19.

A nice place with friendly help. Much cleaner and better organized than my last encounter with a discount shop. I bought a couple of discount permanent markers for a dollar each. At these prices, Ill be back.

The dollar store employees are some of the forgotten Heroes they keep the store organized and it helps the community especially in Scotts Valley.

Just moved to the Santa Cruz mountains and love everything around here. This is the best Dollar Tree store I have seen, but again I come from the South Bay lol.

We were there today and Alex was awesome. He was our cashier. There was one more lane open. The lines started growing and he said we need more back up. Veronica said youll be fine. There were 6 people in our lane and five in the other. We were watching Veronica from our lane and all she was doing was casually walking back and forth to the back room with so sense of urgency and having casual conversation with a lady in a green best sitting on the floor! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAY TO NOT BACK UP A FELLOW CASHIER.When we were done checking out I went up to her and told her it was rude to tell him it was fine. She rudely said there were two cashiers and I said yes, with 5 in each line, not to split! She still didnt go to get on a register and help! Veronica is the exact ridiculous work ethic that people have these days that makes my head spin with frustration!

I was a 99 cent store user down south. But I have to say this store is GREAT. The EMPLOYEES are kind and helpful and being in my 70s is a time in my life when my eyesight is not so sharp. But they take the time to HELP... THANKS

Its a dollar store. Its fine. The people are friendly, mostly, and helpful. I wish it were bigger, but its good for bargains. I always come out with more than I need. Conveniently located next to a Payless Shoes and Kmart.

Not my idea of a fun time but its the highlight of my kids week. Which is fine. The stuff is cheap and there seems to be new stuff quite regularly. Staff are friendly. No one really offers to help you but what help do you need at a dollar store?

Compared to a couple years ago. Wow what an improvement. Store is Stocked well and employees are extremely helpful and courteous. Keep up the good work.

Bring your bucks or your credit card and shop, shop, shop. Get all you house hold goods, soap, shampoo, paper, pens, and tons of fun stuff here. You can even shop for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything is a buck, or less. Always clean and well stocked and with shopping carts or baskets for your precious items.

I love how I can always find something useful for $1 that is usually more expensive elsewhere: hand soap, brushes, tuna lunch kit, grabber/extenders, dishes, car air fresheners, kleenex boxes, scrubbers, plastic organization containers, party decor & wrap, shipping/mail items, educational workbooks & teaching supplies, sunglasses, craft items. Love it!

New Management:I went in today and had a horrible experience.I needed some sunglasses to go to an event on the beach.I walked in, got on pair, looked over and saw one check stand open. Whomever was being helped was standing there with many items and the one checker was off somewhere finding an item or something.And there was another customer behind her with many itemsThe problem is that the store manager was chit chatting about his 6 figure salary with some people I guess he knew. So after some time I asked him if anyone could open up a second check stand.So he bid farewell to his buddies. Then walked towards the second check stand where I was standing. But then decided to blow up a balloon for a child and then make her try to catch the balloon. I then asked if I was at the correct check stand and he said yes.He then walked away and I said I would leave my money right here. I needed to leave!He said oh no you cant so that.I said you told me you were opening up this stand. Heres my money! I have to go!He ignores me. I guess because he has a six figure salary?I then go to the only open line and explain what is going on while Joseph the manager doesnt open another check out register.The customers let me in. I give the cashier more than is needed and leave the store. It has now been almost 20 minutes for one pair of sunglasses.I leave and Joseph, the manager, runs our saying I was stealing ( stealing means you didnt pay. ) and continuously calls me Maam.I go back in with the tag and all the people who were in line when I arrived at the store, are still there. And the balloon he inflated for the kid? I saw the manager flatten. It wasnt even bought.I was treated with nothing but disrespect rudeness by the new staff.And product quality has suffered as well. Now it seems like the Santa Cruz store has a better selection, and very friendly staff.

What an embarrassing experience! I came up to the register to pay and of course there were 2 huge lines. I stood in line for awhile then a gentleman opened up another register inviting people over to him. Obviously he was opening up to help get the line down, right? So I stepped over to the next cashier and he very rudely said oh no shes closing, I said oh Im sorry and went back to the line I was in. Thats when the cashier that was going on break said My light is off!, Ive had my light of for awhile now and people keep coming she said this loud enough for everyone to hear, so again. I said Im sorry! She never acknowledged me or said anything to me. She left her register started cleaning up around the registers then got back on her register and took the customer behind me! Are you serious?? What was that about. She had clocked out, then got back on and worked off the clock!! Then pulled her til. Wow!! Dollar tree you will never change. Keep up the horrible service!!
