My 5 year old son had a birthday party here and I couldn’t have been happier. The kids had a great time, everything was taken care of for me, and I did not have to worry about a thing! He had such a great time I signed him up for classes. The staff is very well organized and fun! My son has developed a great deal of confidence and loves to show of his skills! Highly recommend!!
We celebrated our sons 5th birthday party and kids loved this place. The owner and his assistant were super friendly and professional. The facility was very clean and Covid safe. We would highly recommend this place!
We are back at the gym after 15 months due to covid. My 3 year old is BEYOND excited to be back and my 1 year old was excited to explore. The staff are mindful about safety and clean diligently after each class.
Looking for a fun filled activity for my super active 4yo son, The Little Gym of Scotch Plains provided a solution. Scott provided ample information for us to quickly make a decision to visit; the free try-out session graciously offered, and the extreme fun our son had, sealed the deal for us to register for weekly gymnastics. Scott is professional and very friendly.Dont let the location (along Route 22) deceive you. The Little Gym is bright, colorful, airy, clean, and safe. All equipment is well maintained, bathroom very clean, ample parking, has an attentive staff, and all child activities are in plain view for parents to monitor. A ceiling to floor glass room allows parents to keep an eye while Scott and his assistants put the kiddies through their paces (learning gymnastics, running, listening, and all around enjoying themselves). if at all, it is 60 for a busy parent to actually sit!! Finally, at the end of each session Scott provides a summary to parents as to what the children worked on, which is great to hear. We also love that the gym setup changes each week, so it is novel each time the kids go in.The child to instructor ratio is pretty good, and they keep an eye on all children, although if there are many children it has the potential to get dicey.Suffice to say, we highly recommend!
We had our sons bday party scheduled here in March 2020 and was canceled due to covid shut down. One year later and we were able to host his 4th birthday party here with a few friends. Scot, the owner, was super easy to work with and very responsive! Every caution was taken and made the location safe for everyone involved. The kids all had a great time and didn’t want to leave!
Mr. Scot and Co are an amazing bunch! I love the passion behind what they do and how they treat their members and little ones. The amount of compassion and attention to detail is out of this world and we would recommend the Little Gym of Scotch Plains to any family!
Scott, Justine and Heather have been amazing with our 4 year old princess. Her motor skills have greatly improved, she has developed her dexterity, upper and lower body strength. But most importantly, she has grown to be more confident. She looks forward to her weekly gym sessions. My wife and I love it here. Its incredibly safe and welcoming. We hope to be part of the little gym family for years to come.
We had our son attend for about a year and it was such a great experience. Mr Scot has such a gift with kids. Ms Justine was wonderful too! Even though we’ve moved onto other organized activities, my son still asks to go back when he sees all the videos and pictures we captured of our time at TLG of SP.
I love this place and the energy and attention the instructors give to the children. The patience Mr. SCOTT displayed are outstanding. My kids look forward to Thursday and ask for class everyday. Its amazing. I would recommend to anyone who asks.
My family has been going to The Little Gym Scotch Plains for 2 years now and I can not say enough good things about it!! Mr. Scot and Ms. Justine are the BEST. They are patient and kind, and amazing at what they do. Both my son (4) and my daughter (2) love going, and have learned so many skills. We have attended and hosted parties there, and all were fun, well organized and easy!!! Highly recommend giving it a try, you won’t be disappointed 😊
Clean clean clean!!! We love that the facility and all the equipment looks brand new and is super clean. We also love that the classes are actually based in gymnastics instruction- my little guy not only has fun but learns how to tumble and turn the right way! The owner (Mr. Scot) is patient, upbeat, creative, and great with kids! We love going to class every week!
Scott and the team at Scotch Plains are doing a great job. Their facility was clean, organized, and best of all, fun for my 3 y.o. son. As out of town visitors, we were very appreciative to give my son a familiar respite while we relaxed in a welcoming atmosphere. Thx again!
Mr.Scott and staff are amazing and great with kids. My son is 2 and was enrolled for the “year semester” and it has been great, my son loves it. My sons class is lead by Mr.Scott and he has made the class fun and helped my son advance his physical strength, flexibility and agility. I mean I’m seriously impressed and have noticed the difference in my sons ability from day one until now.
Had a 3 yo birthday party at this location. The facility is bright and clean. The staff was attentive and interactive with the kids. We had a variety of ages at our party of 20 kids and everyone had a great time. Def would recommend this facility for a party!
Little Gym of SP did a fantastic job for our son’s party! Decorations were set up beautifully and the kids loved the activities, open play, and music. It was more than we hoped for. Thanks for the memories!
Just celebrated 3 year olds birthday, and the kids had a great time. The staff of two did a really good job, and the time allotted is adequate considering the age of the kids. The activities are fun, and the facility is new and clean. While I could nitpick, we had a really nice time and would absolutely come back.
Great place. Terrific instructors who are great with the kids and very accommodating to all skill levels.
Great place to get your child introduced to some basic gymnastics and overall fun with other children.
My cousin had her birthday party for her kids here and mr Scott took away my sons cup cake
Do ot plan your kids birthday party here.. Unorganized to say the least
Very nice and clean. My daughter loves Miss Justine
My daughters birthday was on the brink of disaster.THE BIGGEST EMBARRASSMENT was the way that the birthday bash was organized. 5 Minutes before guest arrival Ms. Jordan asked me if Victoria was partial to any particular activity. Whos running the show and why are you asking me at the last minute? This is a failure of organization. How about a survey or form for me to fill in advance? I thought the activities would be similar to how regular Saturday classes for her age group are structured. NOT THE CASE!Princess themed this was NOT! Gathering gold coins and depositing them into a HALLOWEEN pail was shameful. You couldnt buy a princess pail at Walmart? The activity that took our breaths away was SLAMMING THE CHEESE WEDGE. What?! The sweet front desk lady modeled getting a running head start towards a wedge shaped mat. As she body slammed into the mat, and as the mat hit the ground, an incredibly loud thunder clap startled ALL of us. In fact, it was so startling that some children started crying in that moment, and one child was so hysterical that he needed to be consoled by his mother. My husband and I were SO EMBARRASSED we couldnt look at our guests. This activity failed so horribly that Ms. Jordan asked us if wanted to go back to free play ball-playing (and if we just wanted to throw balls around, we could have done this at home for free). Can you imagine one toddler after another body slamming the cheese and making that pounding sound over and over? Exactly HOW does that go with the princess theme? Somehow the Princess theme got lost until the confusing and sad coronation at the end. I wouldnt even call it a coronation. The kids were confused as to why boys were getting pink tiaras, and thankfully some of the moms stepped in to help Ms. Jordan choose a crown for the boys.Hardly any of the gym equipment was featured for use or tumbling of any kind. One of the features of the classes that we liked was that a different instructor (Ms. Justine) helped the children to tumble and use various pieces of equipment. Not only did they fail to do this at our birthday party, but Ms. Jordan and the front desk lady had to spend at least 5 minutes fixing the parallel bars that fell apart. This was NOT a good use of our time, especially when youre charging us about $235 dollars per hour! Kids wanted to use the equipment except we had no structure and paid no attention to much of anything in the gym at all.We put a lot of time and effort into our childs birthday. We did our part. The Little Gym needed to do its part, but unfortunately failed to do so when it really counted. We are left with a very bitter and angry feeling for a half-baked effort on their part. Hold yourself to a higher standard to meet the level of expectations that people have for a decent birthday party.
Awesome time, but mix up with an incorrect balance being applied to my account left a bad taste in my mouth. Ask for a physical receipt. Do not wait for a digital one.
Good personal attention for kids
